This is off topic, but can someone please pray for a friend I've know for many years? I'd rather not give out names (for privacy reasons), but as of lately she has been getting into drug and alcohol usage with a new friend of hers. As a result, please pray that she doesn't get deeper into that hole which can lead to destruction. I've talked to her about that those things are bad, but she hasn't been listening. She grew up in a Christian household, but I don't want to see her lose sight of God. Please also pray for me as I struggle with my own sins as well. I don't want to lose sight of the one who loved me first. It's been very heartbreaking. Thank you for praying ❤️
I know your comment is two years old, but it resonated so strongly with me that not only did I pray, but I also feel the urge to reply. I also have a friend who I fear for; I went so far as to take some time off from Facebook in each of the past few summers to pray for her. I had a nightmare once that she had died and gone to hell, and I am terrified of it ever coming true, but her negative reactions when I've tried to tell her about God were so strong that I've all but given up trying to do much of anything. No drugs to my knowledge, but she hasn't seemed to have had much of any interest in God for close to a decade. I also have been going through a real rough patch spiritually over the past couple of years. I hope things are better for you and for her. Let me know if the situation has improved; it would give me more of a sense of hope.

The only reason I can think of is that the English Bible translators were ALL bloody MORONS who were under the control of the devil 😈 called ALLAH aka LUCIFER. Period. I say this as a brother who struggles fighting lust: Ignore the people who just say "no." I think it depends on your heart, and the answer can certainly be yes. Looking at them is not sin, but looking at them with lust (in other words, desiring them sexually) would be sin. I agree with Shmoopy. Stuff like that is tough... This talk shows the modern view of God, and sheds no light on how the ancient Israelites viewed Yahweh. Just look at Genesis 2 and 3 and you see an anthropomorphic being, forming the man from dust, breathing into his nostrils, walking in the garden, asking where Adam and Eve were etc ... This Genesis 2&3 view of god is completely at odds with the modern view of the timeless, spaceless, omniscient being that speaks things into existence from heaven.
