Richard Oland was a prominent business man in New Brunswick, his family were the owners of Moosehead Beers. What do you guys think about this case? Were the police too focused on Dennis or do you think he may have been involved?

I guess my question is, even though the blood evidence is scant, why is there any blood on his jacket at all?

Based on what I know (researched this one before) my opinion would be guilty, but not able to convict beyond a reasonable doubt.

@sadeeb7664 4 года назад
@Backyard Brian I agree! I believe he's guilty, there are plenty of reasons for motive and the timing fits. Though somehow he's lucky enough to not have the evidence to prove 'beyond a reasonable doubt'. For such a gory murder it feels personal. Think about rage killings using knives, they have excessive stab wounds... just like the use of blunt force trauma Richard endured.

In Canada, Moosehead is one of those average domestic beers that doesn't cost as much as the "fancier" beers but is great for that point of the night where you've stopped caring what your beer tastes like. Some of us, those in our early 30's, don't remember a lot about the early 90's fashion besides what we see in photos/commercials because well we were children. Some people, those in their early 20's and late teens don't remember them at all and the fashion climate has changed to a shocking degree. If you don't think someone can be shocked by older fashion well then that's you but don't hold others to your standards of 'disturbing'. It's a broad term, not just reserved for the utmost horrifying things. Her hair was kinda disturbing, I think that because it was not something you'd see anyone wear today, and the dreamlike pink lighting and ugly offcolored mustard background add up to a dreamlike strange atmosphere to it, which was a bit of a standard then. It was fun and I have a special place for "Moosehead Beer" in my heart from that day on...don't think I ever did drink another one either though! Much respect and heartfelt feelings for the family for their senseless loss...

What’s happened is you’ve seen a comment and thought you’d be cantankerous and pick at a completely innocent comment. Maybe it’s because you have low self esteem and want to make yourself feel better. Maybe you’re just a horrible person. Who knows?

Please spare me the fucking 900 word reply

What about Robert McFadden? He was there with his son Galen and also Maureen. All 3 apparently left before Richard met with Dennis. However, Galen's blood was found on the office curtains, the bathroom sink, and a paper towel in the bathroom trash can. Robert McFadden's DNA was also tested but no results were released. Robert had motive too, in that he was Richard's financial manager who took over control of Richard's companies after he died. Robert also controlled a trust which was set up for inheritance money. Dennis's court costs and house were paid for, out of his part of the inheritance. Maybe Dennis and Robert were in in together. Somebody in the police definitely got paid off though.

It’s not even a good analogy....if we’re going by beers, there aren’t two countable beers, there are two MAKERS of beers who all make multiple kinds. In that way, there are more beer options than women, as all women are made the same way 😂

It’s crazy to me how guilty people often can’t help themselves from repeating how difficult the victim was as a person and how hard they were to get along with. Like over and over, almost as if they can’t help but vent about it. To a detective who’s looking specifically for a person who may have had a grudge against them.
