What I like about Milwaukee is the longer style bits can be used in a standard quick release impact driver... kinda gives the tool more functionality, to me anyway.

Thank for this video. I’ve been adding ratching multi bits to my multiple tool bags to eliminate screwdrivers and I have a bunch of the milwaukee and was eyeballing the wera (I actually ordered the wera turbo yesterday, excited for that to come) but I was on the French about the ratcheting version. I did t even k ow that wiha existed. Getting it right now. So thank for this!

I had 3 Rolgear 4" bit drivers. The first one the shaft and ratcheting pieces fell off from the handle. The second one would slip in ratchet mode, which Rolgear didn't want to replace. The third one I lost. Absolutely love the smooth silent ratchet mechanism but no one seems to carry it so you have to order it from Rolgear directly for $20 plus $11 shipping. It's not a $30 tool so if you are going to spend that much you may as well get a better quality one. I am thinking of the Wera. I lost the Rolgear because it fell out of my pocket and I think the weight being more forward will help keep it in my pocket better.

Good video thanks. I'm sold on Wera. At first I found the handle design a bit odd but upon using for a while find them a genius design. Plenty of torque from its mid section, but it is the narrow diameter tail end for fast turning that is what makes them stand out. Changed how I use screwdrivers.

@@samygold100 It's been fantastic as a ratchet screwdriver. Nice feel to the grip, comfortable handle and the weight of it is spot on. Only negative I have is using it in the lock position. There's too much play in the mechanism, especially when you progress to the tip of the bit. It's perfect for purely ratchet usage, but I always opt for a standard screwdriver if I don't need the ratchet function.

This is the best video on that Wiha I've seen. And a fantastic comparison of four of the most popular ratcheting screwdrivers. I had already ordered the Wiha. Mainly because it has an extension that can be removed, to make the tool shorter. The Megapro is too long and does not use standard short bits (although there is a version that does but it is five times the price of the Wiha in Australia). The Rolgear does not use standard short bits. The Wera is almost twice the price of the Wiha, it has only four bits, and does not get shorter. I am glad to see that the Wiha is indeed a good tool. I hope it fits my hand well and lasts. Thank you for taking the time to put this together.

@the_bogeyman. The Megapro makes two different types, one that is ball detent with long double sided bits, and an automotive version with short magnetic bits....the automotive version has magnetic bits....the ball detent does not.....having that function may or may not be important to you....I personally like the ball detent function, but like the magnetic bits to hold the screw more !

Great Comparison Review! I wish you did a "shake and rattle" test for "fit and finish"...that's my main complaint with my "IRWIN Tools Ratcheting Screwdriver, 8-in-1 (1948774) ". Awesome review! I would be very curious if you did this in a 1-5 or 1-10 scale on each of these categories how this would have played out. I feel like some of these categories the difference between the best and worst was very small and other the difference was very large. Also in your opinion how much of a difference does the non-ratcheting action on the rolgear make? I would think this would be great when you are trying to screw/unscrew something that is not tight enough that the ratcheting mechanism activates. Thanks!

Nice comparison. I agree with you mostly but for reach I find the 1 inch bits are harder to get into tight spaces like the Wera and Wiha have. The entire shaft length is important also but I prefer the Rolgear longest bits that can get into the tightest spaces. I was opening a recessed screw in a plastic ghetto-blaster recently and there is no way the Wiha would work. I own the Wiha Ultra Driver and that shaft would not fit. Also for bit storage I'm not a fan of any under the cap storage including my Wiha Ultra Driver. Pressing the button and mine being well used it does not pop open all the way anymore and one of the little plastic bit holders is broken so its not very durable. I have to pull it open, then find bit, pull it, put the other bit back and close it. The Rolgear is so much simpler and faster with bit storage. I own the Picquic Sixpack Plus and certainly prefer that bit storage and much longer bits. It also seems like much less little parts to fail like in the Wiha. My Dads Picquic from 30 years ago still works perfectly. But everyone is different so I respect your comments and preferences! I think I would have liked your Milwaukee seeing those long bits. But it does look bulky and heavy. Would have been nice if you included that in the comparisons. I'll stick with my Picquic non-ratcheting I think as Rolgear looks like many people have dropped it and its breaks in half with the thin plastic in the bottom of the handle.

A well made video. I have some comments about the "Xiaomi Mi x Wiha". The only Wiha part about it is the bits and its not made by Wiha but by Xiaomi in China. Wiha has a factory in Poland. Also that black rubber you praised gets scratched really easily and is horrible for durability. I use it rarely and only for electronics because its such a delicate screwdriver and I hate the massive slack of the shaft.

Agree. There are a few rankings that are questionable. Reach into recessed areas is important, but more so is the diameter of the bit/shaft as wide ones won't fit into the narrow holes/areas. The long bits in the Rolgear and the Milwaukee are more useful. Considering just the aspects of the tool itself in the expected use scenarios, I'd rank them: Megapro, Rolgear, wiha, and Wera.

Coming from a technician background, the MegaPro is a work horse. I actually took the ratchet from the RolGear and installed it into the MegaPro body. I WISH they made something that. The Milwaukee is the only one that has bits that you can use on a cordless drill/driver. The Milwaukee is also the only one that has the small hole in the shaft that electricians use for bending wires. I would place the Roll Gear in 2nd place because just like the Milwaukee you can clearly see all bits at a glance. I would never consider buying a multi tool with the tiny bits hidden in the shaft.

If this was meant as an actual review/test comparisons - mission fail. 99% of this was totally subjective, and had nothing to do with actual use, performance testing, durability, strength, or material quality - The things that actually matter. It’s totally fine to also include your subjective opinion on the tools, but if that’s the only thing included there’s no way the video should be called “who makes the best....” “Face-Off”. Please check out channels like AVE, or Project Farm for how to do proper tool testing/reviews/comparisons. There are others out there that do a proper job of it...

Oh sorry Karen didn’t know I was supposed to be making a video for you personally

Or for anyone else that cares about, quality, function, performance, durability, strength, etc. But you definitely got all those packaging fans out there covered. You also bought the wrong Megapro...then complained it wasn’t magnetic. They sell an Automotive version of the same ratcheting screwdriver that has a magnetic tip...

I watched entire video (when you started your video, you inferred that this would be a synopsis of your premiere online video, so I assumed it would get right to the point)! Boy, was I wrong! Additionally, I watched because you seemed to care that your Wife had problems with the heft of the Milwaukee-that got my interest, because I am a single woman who owns a home! After your video, I was more confused, not less, regarding which I should purchase! I appreciate the person who commented regarding who they thought offered a more relevant video on the subject (I will check out the AVE channel, thank you)! Last, I would have forgiven all of the shortcomings of your video as you seemed like a nice guy-HOWEVER, after reading your response to a legit criticism, calling the person who commented “Karen”, I would advise you to grow a pair, not be such a whiner-baby and accept criticism like a REAL man (or woman)! In closing, I hope that you aren’t counting on this as a career path because you certainly don’t qualify to be any type of influencer! And, no, I’m NOT a “Karen”!

@M. Stevens you just come to complain. Couldn’t care less what you think. You complained about price and looks, when it was the cheapest of the group at the time and looks wasn’t even evaluated. Get lost troll.

Poor review- you could tell from the very beginning his biased to the whia. It’s obvious it’s not coming from a experienced perspective. Term like “cool” , luv the matte finish etc. case in point- the claim of “bits falling out”- used the roller gear for 8 years as a daily service tool- Never happens. No exp of the warranty??Guy gets mesmerized by pop out features. Reality the push through are better because bits get put back same time as new one is removed, as opposed to bits getting misplaced. Rates on nonsense like packaging but misses out on rating of practical issue like surface roll. Novice review when a review from a experience or tradesman perspective would give buyers more valuable practical insight.
