Review and comparison of the PB Swiss 6510R-100(SPEZ) vs the Wera (KK RA 27/1) ratcheting screwdriver. The PB Swiss is made in Switzerland (bits/handle and ratchet?) and the Wera is made in the Czech Republic (bits/handle, ratchet may be made in Taiwan)

I think your review is a bit biased. There are advantages of the pb swiss over the wera. And I own both and use both so I’m qualified to weigh in here. While the pb swiss does have less teeth, the transmission is MUCH tighter and has virtually no play where the wera is pretty floppy and loose. With a screwdriver as apposed to a ratchet, tooth count is less important, I’d take the pb swiss transmission over the wera any day. It feels much higher quality in that regard. I do agree in that I’m not 100% thrilled on the handle material but it’s okay as is the bit holder portion, I don’t have near as much trouble as you do operating the bit holder I think it could be improved but it’s just fine. The wera is slightly better for the bit holder but it’s also not perfect and I like having more bits for my uses. Also the pb Swiss bits are certainly more durable than wera. Hence why they warranty them. I find wera bits to be pretty high quality but they do not good up as well as pb seiss, they end up rounding over a bit where my pb Swiss bits hold a square edge over time. Overall I prefer the pb swiss for its solid feel also I prefer the shape of it. I much prefer the transition, additional bits, and bit quality. But it’s still nice having the wera too and I could recommend both no problem. But I just had to comment because you’re reviewing the tools yet somehow you’re not able to find any advantages of the pb swiss. You just sound incredibly biased. I do admit I have a slight preference for the pb swiss but I can admit where the wera has some advantages being the bit holder and handle quality/feel and just an overall well rounded unit.

That's a bit harsh, I like both myself, not a huge advantage to either. Both are good.

Just watching some of your older videos here, one thing you can mention in your videos with those that comes with a hexagonal shank /shaft is that they have the advantage that you can attach a e.g. adjustable wrench on them for extra torque. Also those that has a knurled textured part on the shank / shaft, can also be used to grip with pliers / channellocks / water pump pliers for applying extra torque. This may not seem like a winner / dealbreaker to some, but to people like me who work on a lot of old machines and come across a lot of stubborn fastners, its quite helpful to have this feature. Just wanted to mention it.

I own both , and like both . The PB Ratchet is sealed . I also often carry short bladed insider . Historically , I used a Snap-On ratcheting driver , at one time they were a hot ticket ! I generally throw the stock bit into my reserve collection , and load them out with Milwaukee Impact rated bits , that way I can trade ammo , between hand and impact drivers !

Having used all, I prefer the Vessel TD-68XX Series (72-tooth!) over both of these.

@@htr5372 can you look for them on eBay or even the UK version? I'm guessing that would incur shipping charges though, some of my tool are from Canada and USA and great quality too, ie I have a few snap on with Canada and USA stamped on them along with other hand tools !

plastic handles are good. Rubber ones go sticky as they get older.
