Luca De La Torre's ceiling as a starter for a low to midtable La Liga side would be something we'd have died to have in another era of the USMNT. A sign that we're getting somewhere... Being a starter in La Liga doesn't guarantee you a roster spot.

If it were me I would consider bringing Josh Sargent as a backup winger over Aaronson. He Has experience playing on the wing and provides a lot more going forward. He’s also a good defender and can cause turnovers with his pressing.

The only thing that will stop Aaronson is Luca Koleosho

I will say that the key to before in the months in the leadup to this world cup our players staying healthy is of the utmost importance. I know that may be plainly obvious but for how our players are prone to muscle injuries and fatigue its important that these players have an abundance of caution in their effort. Im not saying to not try but on certain challenges and in certain situations I hope they are wise enough to position themselves well at their clubs.

The reason we're not going to see a lot of guys breaking in at positions like outside backs is that the guys in those roles are still getting better. '22 was a young side, and it makes sense most of the core aren't dropping off before '26.

I agree w most picks, but can also see Sargent for Aaronson/Paredes, Maloney for Cardoso, & Reyna or Tilman listed as a wing(can also play their better position #10) which would replace Paredes/Aaronson & leave a spot for LDLT as our 6th MF

Agree with Pete about Neal. He definitely has both significant upside and a skill set you just don't see in our center back pool. He's one to watch out for. Finally, it would be great to see Ferreira make a move to Europe -- I know he's comfortable in MLS and is making good dough at Dallas, but really, go over and if it doesn't work come back. I was at the Gold Cup game against Jamaica at Solider Field, right at the halfway line, and I was very impressed with the way he plays the 9. It was clear to me he truly understands how to play the position, how to show for the ball, and how to play with back to goal, and how to combine. He might be 4th or 5th on the depth chart now, and it's Balogun's position to lose, but he should put himself into the mx.

Caleb Wiley I think needs one more year. I want to see him get to a 7-8 mil value.

Gregg could only take 3 full backs since Trusty can play CB/LB… this open up a slot for a 3rd CF: Sargent or Taty Castellanos; or another CAM: Lucho Acosta, or another winger: Booth, Koleosho, Cowell, Zendejas.

Our current weakest position is GK. We desperately need Slonina or Brady to develop well in the next few years.

If Adams does come back worse, I do believe that Gregg could bring Lennard Maloney if Maloney continues to perform and progress. Heavily reliant on his progression as a player, though.

IMO, Aaronson is a great player to have play against a CONCACAF opponent in WCQ on the road. Will work his ass off and won’t be bothered by bad field conditions as much as others. I might even start him in those conditions. Against a good opponent, on a good field, he doesn’t make the roster for me.

Replace Aaronson with Sargent. Sargent can play better as a winger than Aaronson. He proved that in the Norwich Pukki era.

Regarding Miles Robinson. I can see Gregg really trying to keep him around. Gregg is an emotional guy and Gregg may feel like he owes him due to him being planned on roster for WC but got injured.
