Like this build but have to say, very looooong ride to Daytona in that and Hannah's viking is about as bad as a bad ride gets...when I say bad I mean Killer! I wish I could get with you guys and meet you. I think I could help you out with the truck. I have been driving semi for a long time. And I work on them too. I live in shoals. I have a feeling the transmission is part of the way you're trying to drive it. And a few adjustments and you would be good to go.
First thank you for explaining your philosophy about setting deadlines and taking shortcuts to meet them. Obviously, I do not agree with that philosophy. Example...I have major complications with you welding the bumper to the frame. Weld a piece of plate the width of the channel in the frame to the bumper, then bolt it to the frame. I've run across safety bumpers that were installed that way for years (And I've been fortunate enough to be here over 3/4 of a Century now). Then I would suggest you weld smaller plate to the top and bottom therefore, creating your own custom channel. "If" you want to tack the bumper to the frame for peace of mind? Then I might buy off on it. And tacks are easier to remove than solid welds. Taking short-cuts for deadlines just goes against everything and every fiber of my life philosophy. I've learned the hard way through the "School of Hard Knocks" that short-cuts are not the answer (not to say I haven't taken them when I've been broken down on the side of the road over 100 miles from home just to get home. Only immediately to undo the shortcut and make a "long term proper repair" that won't leave me hung out to dry over 100 miles from home in the future.). But, I guess if it makes you happy living that way, that's your choice. I know I couldn't. In the end, it's your channel, your business, your projects, and you choices.
Quick little test you can do when you go to but a manual trans vehicle that has synchronized gears. With the clutch out, not engaged, try to put it in gear. If the blocking rings are good and not worn out it simply will not go, and will not grind. If it grinds, it usually means the synchro rings are worn and letting the teeth engage.
Truck looks awsome! With that trans and clutch set up you should only need the clutch to get going from a stop... no clutch needed while moving if you get to the right rpm. If you put the clutch down while moving you will burn up the clutch brake quick
This working thing together would probably not work for me with a dream lady,,, because I would be to busy loven on her, if I had a lady of my dreams that is , lol thanks BigAl California

Hannah looks perfect behind the wheel of that truck. The grill and bumper should be painted or powder coated all white again, and leave the cab and fenders patina-ed. Too bad that's too much truck to be a daily 😂
Sorry Cory but I believe you need to put a bracket on the bumper instead of welding it to the frame do it now for that just in case moment . It looks good though guys .be careful and stay safe my friends God love ❤ya both

Shifting with clutch. Either double clutch. Or DONT use it when shifting. When u press clutch i too far.. hit clutch brake.. F whole shift up. Only use clutch start and stop. SMOOTH SHIFTS ALL ABOUT RPM .. RUN UP TO SAY 1700 rpm. Shift into neutral. Braely let foot off throttle. Drop Rpmm to say 1400-1500 rpm.. should go into gear like butter. Big truck trans totally diff then like ur dodges
Wow. You guys are good!! Thanks. Is this thing full air brake? Or air over hydraulic? I also didn't see a clutch brake. That being said. How did you adjust that clutch? Single disc clutch has free travel and that is about it. You are breaking into the heavy truck world and I'm not sure you are familiar with it. Air compresser over pumping. Air govenor? I do. 89 Corolla and 3rd gear is the only forward gear that works. No reverse either. It’s slow going but good when I get to 50. To many trips to ocean city md. We’d R slam it into reverse full throttle while traveling 70 and I’m not kidding when I tell ya it wouldn’t stall. Front tires would scream in reverse until the car stopped and started backwards. That was truly lots of fun on Hwy 50!
Does this truck have an Air Drier on it? Thats what I thought I was hearing it Sneeze every so often to remove moisture from the system. One more thing, you need to learn how to Float the gears when you shift. No clutch shifting. Theres several videos on the Tube on how its done. Sure saves on clutch adjustments and replacements. Once you figure it out on how to do it you'll wonder why you weren't taught this when you first learned how to drive a manual transmission. I'm a retired truck driver in my 70's and have been floating gears all my life. Clutchless shifting saves on your left knee and having to wear your platform shoes to drive! 😂 Love you're videos!
If this clutch is like a semi The clutch linkage adjust the clutch brake disc pinch when held down it should pinch the disc that stops the input shaft and clutch adjustment is normally done by a bolt on the pressure plate when doing a semi truck you normally need to a helper to push clutch
