The way the Nigerian mom calms the situation without shouting or anything, just by calm talking and explaining that she ain't gonna have any of that attitude... That's one great mom.

Yo. Then people wonder why their teenagers are wildin out and being disrespectful. When you let your kids run around and do whatever and dont focus them into a trusting relationship that works on both levels, then they never learn order and respect and discipline. She's not forcing her to do anything, but she's letting her know that it's out of line because we are ALL working together and need to have her cooperation in order to get the job done.

All jokes aside, she was a reasonable parental figure to this little girl -- she provided boundaries, which this kid was not used to at all. It makes me wonder what his father's previous wives were like with him (although I am wondering also if he based his assumption on a stereotype about black mothers). :/

It’s so important to remember that when you’re dealing with children you are writing on the pages of their story and the most minuscule thing can leave a last impression. I’ll bet these kiddos will remember cooking that meal together forever! Cooking together is great for bonding but also encourages their confidence, social development, comprehension, fine motor skills and sensory development. This was actually a really good episode. Even though this clip only shows a little snippet, both women helped one another's family in different, much needed ways. Sad that Nikki and her husband separated shortly after, but it was needed, Nikki says she gained weight from depression in her marriage, and you could tell her husband wasn't in it 100% like she was. Both great women with adorable children ❤

My daughter had a rare liver disorder She's 3 we never eat out because mostly we can't afford it but all fast food makes me sick it's so salty and greasy and MSG makes me sick Fast forward because I just found out two months ago that she has this liver disorder I was expanding that besides the bile rash she was not jaundice or showing other skin signs Her dr said "that's because you don't eat crap like McDonald's and you make your meals " I said "OHH because that would be harder on her liver and she's not getting as much nutrients that way right?" He said "NO she wouldn't BE HERE if she was eating fast food daily ... her liver would have gave out a year ago"😱 Also. If kids aren't exposed to it they don't think you're missing anything that's why my kid never cries that she's not getting a happy meal because she doesn't know what one is
