Only 30 seconds in and already quite impressed with the editing to show you all around the table in between overhead filming. Seamless work gents. Well done.
I got to say, LOVE the camera shot of the players! Definitely adding serious value and the feeling of being there with you guys playing! Way more immersive, 10/10 ❤
I agree. I like seeing them. The only complaint I have is at first in the video when they were drawing and showing them in person. It was way to quick between the camera switches and was a little annoying. But I LOVED the person cameras after that.
I can't be the only one that noticed Dylan and Cam were backwards when they showed their side of the table. I was 10:30 in before I noticed and it broke my brain for a solid few seconds. Well played, gentlemen. Well played, indeed.
@@alwaysabiggafish3305 He doesn't need to draw it, Kroxa Kuronos + Altar will mill it automatically just like the fiend hunter and Angel. It's additional loop.
@@tehguy0 Yes, as so as the Angel of Glory's Rise tho. He doesn't need to adnaus it tho, he just need to do the Kroxa Kurunos + Altar and will automaticall milled to Graveyard like the Fiend Hunter and Angel combo.
I was reeeally rooting for the Tree Frog, but you know what they say about Food Chain. Great Shit as always guys! I love the cuts to the player view occasionally
Poor Dylan in particular got hosed by those stax pieces and Nate really died the classic silly death 😂 Feels sooo good to be clocked out of work, comfy at home, back at it again with yall for another week of gameplay 😎
Suggestion for the camera to show your faces: How about inserting the face of each player whenever you feel it is relevant? For example in each corner, every minute for a few seconds. So that we still have the battlefield as the main frame, we can see your faces, but with fewer movements.
Great game! I'm really impressed with how well Cam piloted his deck even with all the removal we saw. Also, what is the outlet for Kroxa and Kunoros + Altar of Dementia loop? I don't see one in his deck list. Edit: looks like Angel of Glory's Rise was added to the deck list after my comment.
Sac Kroxa to altar in response to its etb, milling yourself, then bring it back to its etb. Repeat until deck is milled. Then use the kroxa etb to bring back angel of glorys rise with reanimated fiend hunter. Sac fiend hunter to altar to mill an opponent. Angel returns, bringing back fiend hunter, which exiles the angel again. Repeat until all opponents have no cards.
@@Halinnthe etb trigger is to exile 5 cards from your gy. So you sac kroxa to altar follow dimentia in response to its etb then bring it back and repeat to filter your gy
@@liamw.1313 I Get that but at the time of my comment Angel of Glory's Rise was not in the deck list provided. It looks like it was added after my comment.
Was surprised to not see Judith in the kroxa list! It's a human so it also returns from the gy with the angel's etb, and then pings the table with the fiend hunter loop (in case someone has mill prevention)
The only questionable play I saw was Tyler playing borbo, hitting the cannonist and just passing, which freed up Nate. I'd have thought he could hit esper, then on the next turn, go to combat, trigger borbo/fblthp and then kill cannonist to go off post-combat. Of course, don't know their hand at the time, and it ended up working out :D
Yargle and multani is a meme deck, it's a "beat you in one hit with my commander" deck, assuming you can pump it with 3 power with an equipment or something. the Borborygmos and Fblthp commander was ranked pretty low in ranking by many people, but I guess being in Temur makes it strong. I still think Shalai and Hallar is one of the best in the set. it is just not from the main set, it'øs in one of the commander decks. from the main set I like Zimone and Dina & Thalia and the Gitrog monster.
I'm very surprised Jin Gitaxis was not mentioned at all. I feel like.. there is a lot of interaction that you can play that costs 3+ mana, CMV and can be played for free by pitching cards. The Front side makes this less painful. If you draw up to 7 cards and flip, you have 14 cards, which probably has some ways to protect your hand until you cast it all for free... And flip back to the front side, then you pay 4 (since you cast all that stuff for free and still have mana for your turn) and flip over to draw more cards. Not sure that this is a viable strat, but I feel like this plus a turns shell could be really savage...
Just found you guys from a Reddit recommendation and you've quickly become my fave gameplay channel. Reckon I could get a primer for the Thalia Build? Pleaseee
Wait I seem to be missing something, Tyler mentions Finale in his winning line, but finale is in the gy from getting dockside, ewit is on the board, and noxious revival in the bin Oh, unless he can just sabertooth ewit back. I think he still wins but not quite how he described it ? Correct me if I'm wrong
Hey there's a commander that I would really like you to make a video. Zada, hedron grinder Because I have been working on her for 4 years and I have finally made a deck that is so close to CED H that I went on almost every turn 4 or 5 sometimes turned 3. And this is only on a $400 budget and I feel like with even more expensive this commander can even get better. If you want the deck list that i've been working on I would love to send it to you
I see Thalia and Frog as the only commander with solid potential. All the others (including those not shown) either have too many hoops to jump through for their combos, or don't provide a notable amount of advantage over pre-existing commanders.
Thalia and frog is definitely not as good as tymna/kodama. Squee and Slimefoot has huge potential, and I'm not quite sure it's not on par with Korvold. Both plans are very similar and achieve the same things, of course korvold + a good dockside can win the game on its own but tbh you don't need much more for squee (altar of dementia does the trick). Yargle and multani is fun but bad; 6 mana for a vanilla creature is a meme deck, I've built it day one and it's amusing but definitely worse than absolutely any other golgari commander of the past 5 years. There might be a few to test yet, but I was very surprised to see the selection for this video.
New set aside, isn't this Nate's unofficial face reveal on the channel lol. Good game though, imo Yargle and Multani made path to exile look almost better than swords for once XD
I love that in a sea of infinite combos and stax pieces and fast Mana, Dylan brought a vanilla guy, and he also was the one who presented a win condition first. Yargle and Multani are so funny.
Is the camera at 5:10 flipped or mirrored? Shouldn’t they be in the opposite order based on where their playmats are in the overhead camera? Am I just an idiot?
YESS IVE BEEN WAITING this set has so many sick cEDH commanders Edit: also, to be fair, cEDH is uniquely terrible at answering an 18/6. Is there anything besides Swords that does it?
@@UnuUO I think a lot of decks don't play Path - I know Tymna/Kraum doesn't. I was still wrong though, there's like six different bounce spells (Cyc Rift, Chain of Vapor, March of Swirling Mist, etc.) that work. The pay-life boardwipes hit it too, Toxic Deluge and Fire Covenant. It evades some black removal (Slaughter Pact, Snuff Out) but still gets got by Deadly Rollick too.
Help me understand something: When Nate played Fiend Hunter and Altar, couldn't he just play his commander instead of the Sac-Damage guy, loop him in the graveyard until he mills Angel of Glory's Rise, and then mill the table ? Even if Angel was in his hand, he had LED which would have helped get her in the grave.
If I had to guess, it's probably because he wouldn't have had anything left up to protect his win? Had he gone for it, it seems like altar would have been destroyed with kroxa and kunoros on the stack, and he would have been without a way to get it back that turn. What they were saying about not having enough mana is probably accurate.
@@shade0mirth I am pretty certain he had enough mana to play his commander (the Sac-Damage guy costs 1BR + potential WWW from LED) but you're probably right that he didn't wanna try pop off without any protection.
Sac using what? Altar of Dementia wasn't on the field and if he cast that first then the Archon of Emeria would have prevented him from casting Fiend Hunter.
