I like weird ideas for lists, sometimes those are the most interesting. I had never thought about it from this angle so I'm going to have to give that some reflection 😂
Artist is really fun once you get used to her power, sniping people and knocking them down from a distance through a wall is very satisfying, and just being able to force survivors to behave in certain ways beneficial to you is fun too.
That's a fair point, I've had a few moments like that. Maybe it's just that I feel like she's a little clunky to use that makes me dislike playing as her. That could be a me problem then.
I main as Artist, so her being where she is makes me happy. I enjoy landing good snipes, threatening from a distance (even while chasing another), and the feeling you get from outpredicting the Survivor with a birb is very satisfying. she requires investment to be decent but when you learn, she is really fun to play as, if you like your strategic "Non-Survivors"
Maybe I just need to put in more time with her. I feel like I always do well, I just feel clunky when I play her. She's a very strong Killer IMO, probably one of the strongest in the game because she has so much going for her.
@@theARoberts Yeah, when I first picked her up I felt like her kit was a bit clunky to use, but after a bit of practise and having an idea from other people who main or play her, I found it working well. Then I figured out how I want to play her and she shined better. So that feeling isn't unusual. She plays quite different to other Killers which makes her harder to pick up. And that difference in style does lend to folks not quite feeling comfortable with her, or clicking with her. Definitely not an ideal first character, unless her playstyle is something you enjoy outright. But honestly, a really fun one when you learn how she works. Honest opinion: I wouldn't give up on Artist. She does play different to Huntress but I felt I can transition from Artist to Huntress with a similar perk build. Learn their ranged attacks and you're going to land some slick hits. :)
as a biased pyramid head main he’s S tier his power and chase music is just so satisfying but obviously if you can’t use him correctly with the right perks and add ons (they need a serious rework) then understandable with A tier also wax doll is a S tier add on fyi
So I really want to get better with Pyramid Head, and definitely agree that his atmospheric elements are so well done (for instance I love the scraping metal sound when you move with him). What would you suggest for a good perk/add-on build for him?
@@theARoberts okay so my build on him is 1. pain res 2. deadlock 3. dead man’s switch 4. oppression add ons: wax doll and any of his iridescent add ons, i don’t use them but the megatron one is really useful when you have them with rites of judgement the build is very anti gen but it works with him as he’s just a M1 killer with a tunnelling power
I really enjoy playing The Wraith! I honestly just started playing myself a few days ago, and I know once I’m able to unlock Huntress she’ll be my main because I’ve been following the game for years and have always loved her, but The Wraith is just kinda my homie. I’ve already gotten a bunch of victorious trials with him.
Knight absolutely became more fun after his buffs. Being able to drop surprise guard jumpscares on people from across the map and literally be in two places at once is VERY fun when you've got a lot of info perks.
I'm surprised Ghostie and Wesker didn't make S-Tier considering how many people simp for them (don't look at me please don't look at me). I agreed with everything else here though, especially A-Tier
I'm a little surprised for both as well for that exact same reason. I thought for sure they'd get to S-tier, even just based on how many people play them. I don't play a lot of Survivor, but I feel like when I do I see a lot of GF's and Weskers.
@ARoberts ghostie is definitely the best k1ller to meme with survivors. I'll admit I suck in chase as k1ller so I just wanna expose them and 1 shot down. And pyramid head is fun to snipe thru walls with I'm all ears and the survivors think they're safe if I can't see them 😈😂
I personally really enjoy Hag. I try to stay away from the whole “put 57 traps around the hook” playstyle and it can be a lot of fun. I like when killers have a lot going on, and Hag is really satisfying to me whenever I have a good trap placement and catch someone out with it. Makes me feel like an expert strategist!
I think you are on to something with Hag. I feel like she's one of those Killers who has an intended design for a more rich and in depth playstyle, and when you play that way she can be really fun. But then the problem is that she can also be played an easier but less fun way (i.e. the camp the basement or hooks with traps) and people will gravitate to that playstyle more than put the time in to learn the harder but more fun strategies. Hopefully that makes sense?
Lowkey disappointed that my main isn't S tier, but getting an A isn't bad. Personally I LIVE for the punishment attacks as Pyramid Head, I have a habit of throwing just to outsmart a tricky survivor with my punishment. Then God does hitting more than one survivor with one attack feel sooo good!
@ARoberts I don't, I usually run gimmicky 'Lore Accurate' type builds. For Pyramid Head I usually run Lethal Pursuer, Sloppy Butcher, Brutal Strength, and No Way Out. I can also change perks to keep the accuracy, although sometimes they aren't as compatible. For instance, Darkness Revealed is a lore accurate perk because Pyramid Head's purpose is to 'reveal' the 'darkness' within James Sunderland. However I find opening a locker every so often for aura reading isn't as useful on him.
I hear you. For me it's that she feels clunky. I almost always do well with her, it just doesn't feel good for me to play her, if that makes sense? But, I will put in more time with her to see if I can get that clunky feeling to go away and then I'll probably enjoy her more.
@@theARoberts I can get that, at the start she does feel weird and just not at all satisfying but once you get good at it nothing gives the same satisfaction that sniping with crows gives you
Good idea to have the community vote because if knowing the internet they would probably roast you no matter how good the opinion is. Also the fact that most characters are in A or S is pretty good. Shows that the game is in a somewhat healthy state
You're absolutely right that this shows the game is in a decent state because the community feels it's more fun than not. LOL I know what you mean but I actually did do this from my own perspective before, but sometimes I redo it as a set of community polls to see how the community feels differently or the same
Idk about yall but I actually enjoy the skull merchant idk just the pressure you does on too the survivors, and so many tricks you can do with some builds
New Community Idea: Rank each of the "Non Survivors" based on how satisfying it is when their power goes off right. Like when you get a bear trap kill as a pig.
They should mention the nuances too like how amazing it is to hit more than one survivor with a punishment attack, like hitting one always feels good but 3 at once? That just hits different 🤩
I can completely understand and respect why you wouldn't think he's fun. I've had some of my worst trials playing a Michael... but that said, I have also had some of my most fun and memorable trials as well, so to me it varies greatly trial to trial
I play pyramid head only since I got him and it's kinda fun. Kinda fun when you hardly miss and play well while playing a map that has no second floors. But it stops when you keep missing with your power. Playing on a map with multiple floors. And mainly feeling like pyramid head can't do that much when going against experienced survivors. But thats just me he is still fun and amazing when you can hit with your power and get 2 or even 3 people with one attack from your power
I’m a pig main, I find her extremely fun, but I do know that because she’s weaker most people won’t like her, but when I see that skull pop up on the UI it FUELS me, especially when I see them going for an unhook or something
I was surprised by blight tbh.. as a survivor main I've only gone against a few Blight's. I've never gone against the Twins, or the Artist. I've also only had a handful of Plague's
I don't see a lot of Blights but I think that's because my Survivor MMR is low and since Blight is tough to play most of the Killers I'm facing probably don't run him. You not seeing Twins makes sense, I went a really LONG time before I saw my first Twins, almost no one plays them. I'm surprised you haven't seen the Artist, I feel like she is picked a lot because she's very strong. I too have only seen a handful of Plagues, not a lot of people play her either which is one reason I chose to main her. She's a lot of fun to play as.
As one of those rare weirdo Knight enjoyers, I'm glad to see my dude Tarhos and his goon squad *not* getting slapped right into C-tier. Knight gets so much vocal hate thrown at him that it's honestly a bit demoralizing. Sad to see my main man Evan in C-tier, but I do kind of get that; he has a very particular playstyle that's not for everyone.
Yeah I was surprised with Knight's placement because of all the vocal hate for him, but that just goes to show that the real feelings of the community may not always match the loudest voices. I can totally respect you enjoying the Knight and I do admit I need to put more time in with him now that's he's been buffed on release. And I think you're right on a lot of these c-tiers they have a playstyle that unless you put time in to learn and/or enjoy then people are probably not going to like them as much.
@@theARoberts Yeah, there's definitely a "niche playstyle" element to a lot of them. I personally tend to prefer characters who fit the area control/strategic play niche rather than the mechanically tricky ones, because I take to things like predictions and area control much more easily than I develop muscle memory. Characters like Trapper, Knight, and Hag simply mesh better with my strengths than ones like Nurse or Blight. I'm also one of those people who will play a character more if I like their lore, which explains why I prefer Knight over Hag. Hag's lore is really inconsistent, vague, and just not very good. Knight's lore, on the other hand, is well-researched and probably the best quality Grimdark BHVR has ever given us. Lore is also a point in favor of Plague in my book. I absolutely *love* Adiris's backstory; there's definitely some artistic license with the history, but she has probably the most ralistic and understandable motivation out of the whole roster.
I made one of those once! The tiers I used were "One Hit WILL Kill You," "Very Deadly Weapon," "Deadly If Used Precisely," "Potentially Deadly But Impractical," "How Is This A Weapon?" and "Some Kind Of Magic IDK."
oh damn! I like thinking of trickster as at least A tier because he's kinda funny, maybe it's the fact he's my main and I usually only play survivor but he was much better than the doctor. 😅
So I can totally understand why you'd love Trickster and find him fun. I definitely respect Trickster mains, I just personally don't find him as fun to play (but then every once in a while I get in the mood to run a trial or two with him)
I'm not going to try to. I love that you find him fun, I don't currently, but there's been enough Knight mains who have convinced me to give him another shot.
I personally like leatherface because it’s a more simple game and doesn’t require to much strategy, it feels like a nice break from the chaos, also if used right leatherface can easily get 4Ks
Imagine if the Devs gave oni the ability in his rush mode where he could bounce off stuff like blight can I just started playing oni and I'm not use to his ability yet so I keep slamming into things after misjudging where a survivor is going I'm better at it with pyramid head since he's my main now (sort of got bored with Myers mostly because it felt like the same old thing most times)
That would be fun for Oni, but I also fear a little OP. I know what you mean about getting used to his ability, I've been playing a little more Oni recently too. Also, question for a Pyramid Head and Myers main, what would you suggest as a good perk build for each of those two? On stream, chat has been having me play them more and I'd like to somewhat know what I am doing 😂
@@theARoberts hmm for both I use the same build of lightborn noed no way out and iron grip The add-ons I use is tier 2 scratch mirror myers and dead rabbit And the add-on for pyramid head are both of his range add-ons. It works out for me so if you want you can try it it out I also see what you mean it probably would be op for oni
Honestly, Pyramid Head’s placement isn’t surprising to me. Theoretically, he’s absolutely S tier. Hitting ranged attacks through walls, denying hook perks, and feeling incredibly scary and powerful all make him so fun to play. The problem is that he’s not easy. It feels very bad when you have a bad game as Pyramid Head. If you’re whiffing all your Punishment attacks, it lowers the fun pretty considerably. Some of these placements really surprise me. The community’s hatred of how strong Blight can be with his best addons not having much of an impact on his fun rating says a lot about his design. Even if he’s oppressive and can be unfun to play against, he’s absolutely a blast to play no matter what.
I think you are spot on about why PH didn't get S-tier. I'm not very good with him yet, so it often feels really bad for me to play him. But I can also tell he's one that once I invest the time, I'll have a lot of fun, and the atmospheric elements are incredible.
@@theARoberts Agreed! My grind for learning him has kind of stalled because I’m at a point where games feel frustrating. Plus the controls for using his power feel kind of clunky if you’re not used to tank-adjacent controls. Not being able to look around or strafe is disorienting for sure (I’ve played all the original Silent Hill games so it’s not a big deal for me, but I understand why it’s a deal breaker for some)!
I'd say that's a very fitting and safe term to use. I'll probably add that to the list, I was thinking of rotating terms just for fun and trying to be a bit humorous too. I should also be safe outside of the first 15 seconds of the video. Thanks for the suggestion!
I totally respect that, especially with you as an Artist main you've already got your ranged Killer close to mastery. I personally love Huntress, but she's not for everyone.
Hard Disagree on artist, she’s so clunky to play, setting up a bird takes decades, she never loops because survs will just hold W. I love her perks, her design, but she’s so dull
See I'm with you, and the irony is, I still feel like with all of that she's a really strong Killer. I don't think I'm good with the Artist, but I almost always do well with her regardless of that and despite the clunkiness. But I just don't enjoy playing her.
No killer will ever be as fun to play for me as Legion. How is speeding around stabbing people while being able to vault windows and pallets not fun? There is nothing more satisfying than getting a 5th hit.
Legion is a mixed bag for me depending on how the Survivors respond, but more often than not I'm having a ton of fun. And you're right, that 5th hit down feels incredible!
LOL she's definitely one of the most powerful in the game because the rules don't apply to her. But she's also one of the hardest to play, so people are mixed on fun
