Who Sent Dozens of Mystery Uber Eats Orders? 

No matter how rich or poor I may be, $20 is $20. I will never say no to free food. If it’s too much food or I get tired of eating the same fast food everyday, I’ll simply share it with all my neighbors or anyone in need.

I got an Uber Eats order that I did not order once from McDonald's. No name on the receipt and the order was something I'd typically get. I didn't question it too much. It was a good meal.

I like the guy that was being honest & said he ate the food at first but you can only eat so much. 😆🤣

This feels like a Junji Ito scenario. You receive Uber eats orders that you didn’t place. At first it seems coincidental, but the the orders start to multiply as the days pass. No matter how many times you tell the company you didn’t place these orders, they just keep popping up. The next thing you know, your home is surrounded by fast food.

The only thing that would make this even better if if they sent them to a homeless shelter to people who actually need it.

People will steal a credit card and place an Uber Eats order to test to see if it is not locked and leave a decoy trail to throw investigation off by sending an Uber Eats order to a random address. Afterwards the credit card will be used elsewhere. As for the multiple deliveries to one neighborhood that is odd.

I live in a small building and this was happening a few months ago. The delivery companies would drop off several food deliveries a day and leave it in the mailroom. It was always addressed to a name that didn’t live in the building. Most if not all of it was thrown out.

Wish someone would send me free food how is this a prank if its paid for lol its a gift!

I once got 50 pieces of Pollo Campero chicken delivered to my door. We were constantly telling the woman who delivered it that we didn't order it and she spent like 30 minutes trying to figure it all out. Eventually, she just told us to keep it and we tipped her like 10 or 20 bucks. It was a good chicken.

this happened to me a few times back when food delivery apps were first becoming popular in covid they were diet soda 12 packs from instacart or something and I felt too guilty and I held onto them for like 2 weeks and kept asking neighbors if they were the ones who ordered them and eventually I drank them oh well

While getting free food feels nice but you would always wonder is the food tainted on purpose for you

I would have been a mixture of both “Yummy food!” and “What if the food is not safe? What if someone is trying to break in, or has poisoned the food?”

Happened twice to me. Felt bad for the person who missed out on the order. 😢

My mom's friend said that this was also going on here in Utah, to her daughter and her friends, at one point they thought it was the friend, but then when they asked the friend and her parents, they also said they were also getting food that was not being ordered.

Imagine accidentally putting in the wrong address and thinking Uber Eats sucked because they never delivered your order and it was all going to someone else. 😹

I wouldn't accept/eat something that was delivered to me WITHOUT me ordering/paying for it in the first place.

They probably live next to a streamer who's fans send them orders, but don't know the exact address

This happened to me at the beginning of the pandemic 😅 I lived in an apartment complex and our apartment so happened to be the default unit for the complex's address. If the tenant forgot to change the unit number on the address then I'd be delivered to us.

I wouldn’t trust the food. Even if it looked like a legit delivery. I would think that someone is going around pretending to deliver fake food that’s been tampered with.

I don't understand. How cant they know who sent it; after all they have to get payment from a credit card.

Honestly using thiefs using uber eats to case or check whether anyone is in the building to robbed is quite a unique way to do things

If I were in this situation, I’d use the food to feed homeless people 🤷🏾‍♂️

I’m more inclined to think this is a case of thieves/scammers using someone else’s credit card and just going rogue with all the random orders.

I live in the Philippines...a credit card of my friend was scammed and used in Amsterdam...it was used to order in Starbucks about 40x.... possibly this one might be like that....we even have stories of scammed credit cards used in Starbucks in Germany....i hope someone will really looked into it

My guess is a technical glitch that happens when someone puts in an incorrect address. When I used to deliver for Papa Johns, if the address entered couldn't be found, it would suggest what it thinks the correct address should be, and sometimes it was completely wrong.

one time a doordasher left a random chick-fil-a order at my friends doorstep, we couldn’t find any customer info on the order so we just ate it. free lunch is free lunch

It's called "Brushing" when done with Amazon orders to do fake reviews for sketchy sellers. But why would anyone do that with McDonald's and Starbucks?

This shouldn't be a big mystery for Uber-eats. They should be able to trace down whose credit card is being used. I have a feeling it's someone who got an enemy's credit card and is trying to pile on debt as a revenge.

This was happening to me for like a year, I was getting neighbors foods. I live in a complex, so the address is the same, but for some reason Uber eats always had my apartment door listed in the order. They would literally show me. I had an Uber account as well. But never ordered THOSE particular foods. It was bizarre, it must’ve been a glitch in their system. Eventually had to put a note like that guy. I would always throw the food away, I didn’t trust it. Plus it always had pork that I can’t eat. One time I gave an Uber eats order to a homeless person and he asked me “what’s wrong with it!” 😂😂 I had to convince him nothing, it was food that was delivered that I never ordered lmao

I kinda had something like this once. Just one McDonalds order. It was a breakfast order and there was about 60 Aud worth of food. No name on the receipt so had no idea who’s order it was. But probably the most disappointment part was we found the order around 4PM we had not even gone to the front of the house all day and the food was stamped 7am. I wanted to eat it lol but everyone was like nah man you might get sick not worth it.

Honestly if I got free Uber eats I would be grateful 😄😄

Hmm. Just recently here in Nashville I’ve been seeing orders left at people’s doors. I work for a scooter company and many times I pickup scooters from peoples lawns or businesses. Been seeing a lot of food delivery orders just sitting in porches in the middle of the night. Seemingly like it’s been there for hours. Like last night I saw a delivery order sitting in front of a fashion store for what seemed like a long time.

Seems like some weird prank a RU-vidr would do. Buy random people UberEats and leave it at the doorstep to get a reaction on a hidden camera.

He put a note on the door like who the hell take the time to stop and read that note? Their job is to deliver the food and move on.🙄

Reminds me of how half of my orders never arrived to my house and it turns out they got sent to another nearby house that has the same number as mine but on a different street

Just two days ago, my friend was at home and a WHOLE stack of cheese and pizza pizzas (large) came to his door. About 60 or 70. The receipt said that someone ordered it to my address. He was stunned. It was paid for. It came from a nyc pizza place NOWHERE near my house. And the driver was given a $40,000 tip. He was allowed to keep it but he just gave it to homeless people after investigating each pie to make sure nothing was wrong.

The deliveries have not stopped. It’s currently happening in our home town pomona, ca.

I think it is a case of scouting for someone being home at certain times of the day. Just like the cookie trick hidden underneath the welcome mat. Thieves would check throughout the day to see if the cookie is broken and notate your daily routine when the house is empty.

My anxiety will go crazy. First thing I'll think if this happens to me is it's poisoned😢

PRO TIPS FROM A DELIVERY DRIVER: PUT YOUR ADDRESS INTO THE GPS AND SEE WHERE IT TAKES YOU BEFORE YOU TYPE IT INTO THE APP. SOMETIMES THE CUSTOMER WILL LOG IN AN ADDRESS THAT DOESN'T GO TO THE ACCURATE ADDRESS. IF THATS A POSSIBILITY, MAKE SURE YOU TEXT OR LEAVE A NOTE FOR THE DRIVER IF YOU BECOME AWARE THAT THE GPS IS INACCURATE. ANOTHER WAY TO AVOID THIS, IS BE OUTSIDE AND MEET THE DRIVER. BEING IN THE AREA WHERE THE DRIVER HAS TO DELIVER AND BEING OUTSIDE MAKES YOU A "FIRST" FOR GETTING ASKED IF YOURE WAITING ON AN ORDER. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS LEAVE A NUMBER THEY CAN REACH YOU AT IF THEY CANNOT FIND YOU, TO ENSURE THEY CAN.

I would be grateful to have orders like that. Se have lots of homeless people in the 5 would go to them or invite friends over

Can’t they just report the credit card transactions reference on the receipt to the police to investigate what’s going on?

When I worked at jets pizza there was this guy who would legit order 5-20 pizzas throughout the day for about 2 months. Gives me the same vibes.

Who ever is doing that is doing a good deed and I respect him/her, I wouldn’t be mad at all.

What I would do is give it to someone that needs it that’s what I would do on the kindness of my heart❤❤❤

That happened to me once. I tried to return it, they said just eat it. So I did

I have a friend that worked doing door dash that these kind of thing happening claiming to be scams. People calling to the driver would pretend to be customer support telling the driver that there been a issue with their accounts and needed their info to fix it.what they do is they put there info so they get paid instead.

Imagine the people who want to order using Uber eats but can't because the delivery company stopped delivering in that area.

Damn it! Actually I did it, I lived there for 23 years of my life, and these were one of my favourite neighbours and were just like Family. I moved on to another country for 7 years for my higher studies and job, and when I was relocated to same area by my company I thought to give them Surprise for a month before I meet them up!!! Didn't thought it would end up on News.

Would be cool if they actually reported how it happened 🤔

That happened a couple of weeks ago here in BC. it was Starbucks and McDonald’s orders aswell!

My *FIRST* order would have precipitated a simple call to the delivery service to find the source phone number and have it blocked.

Their might be a clutch in the system that constantly orders the food that they haven't discovered yet it reorders repeatley from coustomers

1. Why would I send an excessive amount of food to your house to case the joint? 2. Why not just call uber to clarify the address? 3. Why is this news?

If someone is nice enough to pay for it and it's free why complain? Just give it to somebody who could use it

They (UBER Eats) can track down the order with whoever paid with what card.

Omg true / funny story My Hubbs was out 1 night on the weekend, all of a sudden door dash shows up with chic fil a or some of my fav food/ I open the door & go “omg my Hubbs must’ve ordered this wow how sweet” 😍 usually he tells me but I thought cause we didn’t go grocery shopping he just did it & forget to tell me, I start goin in on the food… all of a sudden the door gets knocked on again like 5 min later & it’s the door dasher delivery guy & he’s like “Omg I totally dropped it at the wrong house!” & I’m like “omg no way?! Stop! 😂” & explained the mix up & said how I thought my man surprised me and how I already ate one bag- & he’s like “I’m so sorry! But do you have any of the order left?!” Was he going to give it to them or eat it? 😂 I was like “well yeah” & gave him the rest back & he just leaves.. wtf just even happened 💀 I prob just smoked before too so makes the story even funnier/ I’m lucky I didn’t get roofied or it wasn’t a secret robbery in my case LMfAO I was so trusting haha I’m part kidding!
