Who Should You Wish for in 4.8 - Navia, Nilou, Yelan, or Emilie? 

Who should I wish for? Yelan. Who am I wishing for? Navia (and then Yelan if I get lucky).

As Yelan and Navia haver here are some things that I would highlight about them: Yelan skill is insane for nearly all movement and she hasn't left my overworld party ever. The burst having aimbot level tracking(it hits pyro agents when they are invisible!) is also nice and combined with her ranged normals she can clear spread out enemies by just spamming normals. And if some are out of range the skill takes you there fast! She also pairs well with her competitors in Xingqiu and Furina and even when you use two out of the tree in one side of the abyss you still have one of them for the other side. There are many teams where Yelan is not the best option but a few where she isn't an option at all. For Navia I was surprised that Xianyun was not mentioned. Plunge Navia is great and one of the more synergistic characters for Xianyun even without Furina. You can also double up on healers with Bennet and plunging has infinite interruption res, which makes the plunge teams really comfy to play. The E into 4 plunges with the infusion can be hard to execute but it's still good if you miss that and do a phys plunge. Double geo stuff stuff with Chiori or Zhongli is where she is best at, but if you don't have them solo geo is still more than viable. Geo MC is an option, but at that point what is better comes down to the abyss lineup and what characters you have available and feel good playing with. Skill based nuke damage is also good for finishing abyss chambers with full energy and in overworld you oneshot a lot of enemies. Also the voice-lines are funny. "Umbrella warfare I guess!" Both Yelan and Navia are units that function well without specific units, and geo and hydro could be hard elements to get a good roster of characters, so I expect them to do really well in the Imaginarium theater when those cycles become around.

I actually wouldn’t recommend using Dendro Main Character with Emilie because their burst doesn’t play well with Pyro. When DMC’s Burst Bulb comes into contact with Pyro it will explode and disappear, ending the burst early. Just use Collei instead.

Pre-farmed everything for Furina and then red haired mf came home. Now im all set for Navia. *_hey there comin at ya_*

I think it's ok to get yelen even if you have Xingqiu and furina because in the new game mode you need 18 characters combined of 3 elements hence you need 6 well built characters of each element to 100% the new game mode every month So even if you have Xingqiu ,furina and Yelen you still lack 3 more hydro units . ( Now you understand why people hate the new game mode 🥲)

IMHO Yelan is the TOP1 character to pull for a new account. She'll be usefull from the moment you get her until the eternity. And she HUGELY improves the exploration in the game. I use her literally everyday. It's hard to emphasize enough how great she is even if you already have or intend to pull other hydro off fielders

Navia main here: If anyone decided to pull navia. Here my experience. She was reason that I cleared 11 floor for first time and cleared 12 floor too. I skipped neuv and furina for her and she showed me how worth she is .

Natlan/fire pretty obvious Emilie is made for future characters from that region, no game company looks retroactively, they almost always look to the future

I will be pulling for Yelan. Her fan art is the WHOLE reason I started playing Genshin in the first place. She WILL be mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

i really like Navia. Her story her character and shes pretty but i cant justify trying to get her as i am fully F2P and i just feel like yelan will be better for my account.

Your character rating breakdown is super helpful especially for beginners doing character assessment. I suggest you add one more category : Play style complexity - because not all character play style is straightforward

This banner is stacked, baby! You win almost no matter who you pull. My priority in order: #1 Yelan - I cannot overstate how good she is. If you have Yelan and Furina, your off-field hydro/sub-DPS role is set (no need to grind for that C6 Xingqiu). Generally considered like the 4th best character in the game after Furina, Kazuha and Nahida, aka the account-makers. Only downside: you need the Chasm Underground to level her past 40. #2 Navia - unless you have too many DPS' already; she's a super easy to use GEO DPS and her damage is amazing. I'm thinking about it, but I may save my pity for a Neuvillette re-run because I have too many DPSs already, although not a good GEO DPS. #3 Nilou - IMO your account should be already stacked before you seek a niche character like her. I'm always on the fence with her: I cannot doubt her damage potential or ease of building her, but I also skip her every time because in my head this character only works on one team.... and I can already clear the Abyss without that team. #4 Emilie - skip until you get to try her. I always wait and see. I remember Arlecchino being confusing in her description, but in practice she was easy and she hit like a truck. So I pulled for her. Wriothesley was the opposite. But in both cases I was glad I tried them first.

Emilie + c6 benette actuelly seems a great combo, enemies have to be near anyways You just create constant burn, throw xianling in the mix and emilie becomes a main dps

I have the other 3, and they are some of my favorites! I'm going to try for Emilie since I love her design, and a burning focused team sounds like an awesome change of pace.

Yup, as I thought, your video helped. I got Navia's weapon when I was going for Ayaka's so I was debating wether to get her or Yelan. So, I will be getting Yelan as she is going to help a lot of my teams like Furina mono hydro and Yoimiya hypercarry. Thanks a lot for the video Shark!

I'm pulling for Nilou right away if Kaveh is on her banner, waiting for the four stars on second banner to be revealed if not. If Kaveh is on second phase, I'm probably pulling for Yelan and holding of on Nilou. If he's not on either banner, I'm pulling for Nilou to have on my Kaveh team, eventually 😂 I just want my babygirl!

Navia is great tbh Her dmg is very good and her being atk scaler is great for playing her with Bennett and her low on field time makes her good with xiangling+yelan as well which is a great team A team that works fine in aoe and have a great front loading nuke dmg , almost perfect in every scenario

I already got my Yelan on her last rerun. Now, I will be using up all of my saved wishes on Nilou's weapon banner just to get a copy of Xiphos Moonlight. Ive been waiting for that freaking sword for more than a year now. Hopefully I could get at least R5 😇😇😇

considering I have neither, want all 4 but dont *need* any, I will look at what 4 star characters I can get on the banners to possibly narrow down the options :D

Will navia be good with dps raiden, like switching between navia's skill and raiden's burst team i was thinking of 'navia, raiden, bennett,xiangling' any opinion.

Could we get a series of videos on constellation values? There are many players who already have the characters they like and usually don't want to pull for new characters but rather want to make the ones they already have stronger with constellations. For example, is Hu Tau's C1 more valuable than Furina's? And so on ...

It is really hard. I like Nilou, I have a lot hydro/dendro chars who can work with her, On the other hand, if Zongli will rerun soon he would Support Navia and fit in more Teams.

Chiori into Navia is a super high buff to her damage. Use any applicator (I throw down a Ganyu burst), then Chiori into Navia. Very satisfying shotgun that blasts for 300k if they're all C0 but have decent gear

Going for Navia and Yelan! Already got Navia and if I lose in Yelan's banner, that goes to Raiden C2 if ever she's confirmed.

Nilous personally damage isn’t from the blooms she has 0 ownership of the blooms in her team

Spontaniously went for Nilou because I already have C2 Nahida, C2 Furina and Beizhou. Was a bit scared I would regret that decision, but my god is she fun and comfortable to play, a fresh change to the hyper carry teams I am usually playing. She's not even level 80 yet and has crap artifacts, but she already feels very comfortable and fun to play and can clear pretty tough content without breaking a sweat (kinda makes sense with Nahida and Furina on C2, but still).

I kinda want Nilou bc I could run Neuvi, Nilou, Nahida, Yao Yao. I feel like that team would do unbelievable amounts of damage since my Neuvi already does unbelievable amounts of damage at C1 R1.

i dont know if i should pull for navia or nilou..they are both my favorite characters and at first i really loved navia's gameplay and i wanted to try her skill and pair her with my chiori and furina but nilou is just so pretty and her bloom team is one of the best teams in the game..I already kind of prefarmed for navia so i should go for her but its so tempting..

LEAK: according to reliable leaks (we have gameplay footage proving it), kinich, the upcoming natlan dendro character, is going to be a burning and burgeon on-field dps. i imagine he'll be a big buff for emilie as long as she's in a team with him.

Although 90% of your takes are good but I reckon you are underestimating Navia. In Chinese theorycrafting community she is widely accepted to be a top 5 dps. By seeing her damage sheet, I would rank her damage as Great by your ranking system and F2P friendliness and Flexibility at great too. She literally just requires off field supports. You get 2 for free by just playing the game and you don't even need to build the supports just put some er so that they can apply the element consistently for crystalise. About the flexibility part almost all the S tier units work with 4 elements only whith just a few exceptions so I would also rate her flexibility as great. If only yelan wasn't here I would pull for her.

Torn between Navia and Nilou. Not pulling for Yelan, bc I got build c6 xing. Got nahida and kokomi for nilou, thinking to put them with ayato. Tho some comment said that Nilou will be booted after getting a skin, so idk. Navia seems good too - I got no geo dps, only Zhongli. But she's a single dmg dealer and I feel like I lack aoe in abyss. Who to pick?

I got nilou at 78 and regret when I build her then I got yelan after 27 pulls. So happy ❤

I have personal vendeta against archers. Yelan (and Fischl) can be op how they want but i will never spend anything on them. 😂 I play on phone. Archers and moving fast/weird abilities like Yelans, Yaes, Fischls or Lynettes are hell for for me so rather than have them and miss constantly i use characters that move normaly.

the thing about nilou that bothers me is that i havent ever heard anyone talk about why she has horns. as far as i know shes the only one and nobody questions it at all like???????

Navia plunge team with Furina, Chiori, and Xianyun is disgustingly good. Highly recommended for anyone that wants something a little outside the box.

I pulled Yelan's signature weapon on Lyney weapon banner and got both bows. Since then I've been waiting for her rerun. Now I am next sure with 25 pity. Can't wait to use her with Arlecchino together.

Last time I had a chance at Yelan, I managed to snag her and Hu Tao before their shared phase ended. Here's hoping these first two are similarly merciful, as Navia, Nilou, and Shenhe are on my shortlist of remaining characters I've wanted to pick up. Barefoot Gang!

The only strong geo character I have is Zhongli and with the Imaginarium breaking our cast up by element, I think having Navia would be really handy. I already have built Xingqiu, Furina, and Nahida, and I don't have a strong second Dendro driver to make Nilou work. I would like to get Yelan because she's a great character, but I've also got Ayato and Neuvilette. My hydro team is already stacked. :/

I started this video wanting to get either Navia, (because the only Geo characters I have are Geo Traveler, Noelle, and Ninguang) or Emilie, because she's new and looks good. I ended up after this video deciding on Yelan.

Navia is the fucking best pull, your not using your brain at all if you seriously don't think Navia is EASILY in the top 3 DPS in the fucking game. I hit 500k on each skill tap EASILY so 1 mil dmg at the LEAST in like 5 seconds. Plus her burst is VERY CHEAP compared to 95% of other characters in the game which is great because it gets her the stacks alot more quickly PLUS some decent dmg.

I don't see how Emilie's dendro appication is bad when it basically has 100% uptime which no other dendro character can claim? I wish there was a pyro character with half as much off-field pyro application as her. I'm a big fan of DoT tick damage so very strongly considering pulling for her to enable a proper burning team that doesn't keep running out of steam because the dendro has fallen off the enemies/been used up.

I’m pulling for Emilie because I have everyone else on that list, she’s absolutely gorgeous, and I can put her on a team with Yanfei and Kirara.

Every time yelan rolls around i basically spent my savings on a banger character and their weapon which always goes to max pity and losing 50/50 2x.

Since Natlan is releasing soon maybe Emilie might be a good support for new pyro characters/archon

If you want to see pull rating by character, there it is Phase 1 Navia: Good Nilou: Bad, but... Phase 2 Yelan: Great Emilie: Good I am just surprised that Shark doesn't recommend Emilie If you should choose a right helper to your account, Emilie cause the Pyro Archon is the best pyro support and it means everything to Emilie's kit

my top pulls will be: 1.Yelan bcs she is a great sup & sub DPS, great in exploration, nearly every single type of team can fit her in. In mono hydro Yelan can be on field DPS too (works better with Furina of course) 2. Nilou bcs her buffing kit is very strong that it outdid other DPSs team at C0. Best AoE & elemental reaction DPS. F2p friendly and super easy to build. Based on my experience having her for almost 2 years, she works in every single abyss without fails. Plus she even performs very well in mono hydro team especially when you have Furina 3. Navia bcs her personal damage is high but need pretty high investment esp when you dont have proper supports or good weapon for her. 4. Emilie bcs we dont know how she works yet

Soooo, I was going to skip 4.8 all together because I didn’t really like Emilie (until I heard her voice lines) and figured I’d just roll on the weapon banner to try to get Xiphos and some other weapon refines to build weapon pity for when Wriothesley returns…. And I pulled Verdict at 50 pity… so now I kinda have to pull for Navia or else the glamour great-axe goes to waste in my inventory 😅

I think you approached the idea of support in a weird way- rather than saying you build the team around Emilie or Nilou, you are building a burning or bloom team and using them to support- by means of augmenting these teams Although they don’t directly buff teammates, reaction based teams shouldn’t fall outside of your definition just because they’re unique

I'd rank them about the same way, Yelan > Navia > Nilou, with Yelan C1 possibly before Nilou. Emilie is unpredictable since Natlan is bound to add more pyro characters. Yelan is basically Xingqiu but more comfortable and consistent, with a big DMG buff and a dash ability for exploration, which becomes almost cooldown-free with C1. Navia is a strong DPS with enough frontloading to counter the annoying wandering bosses that Hoyo loves, and she doesn't need (or want) a specialized geo team. Nilou theoretically does insane damage, but in practice enemies dodge a lot of the bloom bombs, and she requires specific teammates. Significantly worse without limited-edition weapons.

Saving until Pyro Archon I guess. Already have Yelan and Nilou None of the new Natlan characters picked my interest yet. I’ll have to see their animations and kit first.

Even though I agree Yelan is best of best on these banners, especially for F2P, imagine my situtation from past - received Yelan woo-hoo. But after way big pause I had only one DPS Tighnari - not good with Yelan. Then I came for Neuvillette - not good with Yelan 😂. During the time I pulled for more characters, also use Navia instead of Tighnari in DPS role, and still I somehow didn't find good placement for Yelan in my Abyss teams (and anywhere else it just doesn't matter which chars I use). So I use her mainly for exploration - and to bring whole true here I use more Xianyun for fast travelling than Yelan (but Yelan deserves her place in exploration team too)🙃. After all I hope, her big time will come in Theater.

I'm a Noelle main, though some people call me a geo main since I like geo characters 😁 . I'm looking forward to Navia's re-run. Hoping to get C1.... C2 if possible. Hoping to get Yelan's C2 if I have enough wishes after wishing on Navia's banner

I already have C6 Xingqiu, Furina, and Neuvi. I’m sure if I had Yelan I would get a lot of use out of her, I just don’t feel like I need her for any particular reason. If that makes sense.

I think it is hard to go wrong with these banners. Nilou enables one of the strongest AoE teams, Yelan is one of the best supports in the game, Navia is probably the lowest cost option to get a strong geo team on your account, and Emilie is ...? We might need to wait and see on that one. Hoyo trying to drain our primos before the next region.
