Very down to earth. I’m a truck driver and met a lot of entertainers on the road, he was one of the nicest people I’ve met. RIP ! A great memory of meeting him.
You couldn't help but like him ...his music, acting, song writing and story telling. His outgoing personality just drew you in and before you knew it you were laughing, smiling and just happy being around him
Look up the story about when elvis had to hunt him down to play guitar man in the studio because nobody could play it but jerry.....one of the best guitar players ever
R.I.P. Old Friend Jerry Reed, I used to detail his tour bus, he owned a Silver eagle, he was a seriously funny man. I was shocked when I heard that he passed away, all the angels in heaven are his audience now, they would get to love the man the way we all still do. Jerry your legacy will never be forgotten.
Saw him live twice. On the sidelines of the Vanderbilt football team at OU in the late 70's. Thoroughly enjoyed watching him in awe every time Billy Sims flew by on the sideline. Enjoyed his music and movies very much too.
always loved Jerry Reed. lots of his songs had an 'everyman' quality that most of us could relate to. when I was quitting smoking I remember listening to his 'Took another puff'. It helped. and hardly a day goes by with without me singing a few bars from 'When you're hot, you're hot'..
I have been a fan of him since I was 12 in 2003 and even twenty one years after I listened to whichever song I heard him sing, I am still a fan and always will be.
Jerry Reed was an outstanding guitar player and picker, as a player myself I can attest that his picking style was absolutely amazing and somewhat unique.
I'm sorry but dying in your seventies is not what I would call "tragically passing away" RIP Mr. Reed you enriched our lives with your wonderful talent
It is tragic when such a talent passed away. It is tragic for his family and his friends. Our hope is that when you pass away people will see it as a tragedy and not a blessing
@jakestree Explain why you would post that? Not a single guitar player, or even a single musician from any genre would call him "underrated". Fans and music critics alike have done nothing but heap well-deserved praise on him. Prince, who himself is a legendary guitarist (among probably 30 other instruments that he was also a virtuoso)... said _"Glenn Campbell was the best ever"._ But to you he was underrated 😂😂
One of the VERY BEST in the 🎶🎶 music and Arts BUSSINESS, this old boy dident fμ€k around.. ALOT OF the best (in their opinion) Had to crawl to him and ask.. How do you play that, or like that.. 💰 money changes EVERYTHING SONN ..🙈🙊🙉 , SIT DOWN ON EM SON....😅..
Well Dennis, For those of us that love his music and his humor it is tragic that he will make no more music. It was tragic for his family who lost a loved one. For those of us who grew up watching him in his movies it is tragic that another of our childhood memories and dare i say has passed on. I think you get the picture.
@@CMSProductions I agree it's sad when we lose someone we care for. I was just wondering if there was actually a tragedy. Thank you kindly for answering
