My favorite song of hers is Something in Red!!! Listen to Keith Whitley’s (Lorrie’s husband) Tell Lorrie I love her….it’s about her. RIP KEITH!!!! Gone too soon!! Their son has a wonderful version of tell Lorrie I love her (Jesse Whitley)

Some of us never get over it Sebs even after 26 years I've never been able to move on to even try to find someone else. All I have left of our relationship is our two amazing sons that we had together. We divorced in 1998 and my ex-husband passed away in 2010. I met him at age 14 & married him at age 18. He moved on with two different women after me, but I never could. Marriage to me was supposed to be forever. Keith Whitley & Lorrie Morgan were a super couple and country music royalty. I love both of their music.

Something in Red is a great song. After her husband, Keith Whitley passed away she married Sammy Kershaw (another Country artist. She had often said Keith Whitley was the love of her life ❤ Five More Minutes is another great song by her!! I love Lorrie and her music 😊

Lorrie has such a beautiful voice. She was married to another country singer Keith Whitley. Sadly, he passed away. Check other good songs by Lorrie, "Something in Red" is a beautiful song. Also check out "If You Came Back from Heaven" a beautiful song dedicated to her late husband Keith Whitley. Another good song of hers is more upbeat called "Watch Me."

Yes she was married to Keith Whitley and yes that's one country music singer that's absolutely one of the best that's ever been and I live in Harlan County Kentucky and Keith was a Bluegrass Boy and I'm proud to know he represented this state with his golden voice. Don't close your eyes is the best song Keith ever recorded.

Lorrie Morgan was married to Keith Whitley, until his untimely death from alcohol poisoning. Keith's death left her a single Mom of their only song, who is also an Country artist. If you'd like to hear Lorrie and Keith sing together listen to their song "Til a Tear Becomes a Rose". Lorrie struggled with her husband's death but continued to be an amazing Country singer. I always thought that Lorrie Morgan sounded a lot like Reba McEntire and have trouble telling then apart when I just hear the voices.

For another 90s country artist. The band Sawyer Brown has a lot of great songs. For a great message and storytelling, start with "They Don't Understand." They also have some fun songs: "Six Days on the Road," "The Race is On," "Some Girls Do."

In your wanderings through the country music recordings, have you come across "Life's a Dance" yet? If not, I think you'd really enjoy it. It gives good life advice. And it's an upbeat happy song. Also, I highly recommend Something in Red but if you prefer to hear it from the song writer, Angela Kaset is the one who wrote it. My favorite version by Angela can be found on Live from the Bluebird Cafe #108 (writers in the round).

Another Country artist from the 90's you should check out is Collin Raye. Not That Different is one of his great songs. Love Me was his biggest hit, I believe. Written by Skip Ewing, who was one of the best in Nashville during the 90's.

This was my anthem when I caught my ex cheating. We had been together 13 years. For a lot of that time he was in school getting his bachelors degree and then his Masters degree while I worked and supported us. He got a new car every other year and I bought two houses because it was what he wanted. After he got his Masters degree he decided he could also have a girlfriend. Needless to say that was the end. I live in another city now and don’t even have to think about him. My brother stills see him now and then and just chuckles to himself. Now he drives an old beater and doesn’t live in a fancy house anymore. Every time I hear this song I think about how good he had it and never appreciated the life he had.

Laurie Morgan is one of the most classic women in country music. She was married to Keith Whitley. She’s his widow he died in a plane crash. She was married to Sammy Kershaw for a while actually, she dated Troy Aikman. Actually, he drank himself to death. Unfortunately, he had way too much alcohol in his blood. He was truly a great singer/songwriter.

I lived this song, married 17 years with a son and he had an affair and just left...I literally almost died. He walked away from a woman that would've died for him and to this day he's not happy. But I remarried and went on to be very happy.

So sad she tried to help her husband Keith Whitley with his alcoholism but the pull of the whiskey bottle finally killed him with alcohol poisoning. Not sure if she ever remarried. she was definitely madly in love with him and stood by him to the end. Keith and Lorrie both wrote songs however Keith was a master at it besides being a helluva singer. So sad he passed at such an early age.
