Sadly chapter 233 (released AFTER this video) seems to prove this theory wrong, since Hiori was seen in the First Selection being ranked 291, so he was in a Team Z, not Team V. I'm honestly a little sad about this revelation in the manga since this theory made a lot of sense for real
Yeh I'm a little sad, was hoping the theory was right. The author has gotten numbers wrong like writting ishikari as rank 25 or giving endoji rank 53 jersey so hoping it's just an error. What's interesting too is that in Hiori's team we see the curly hair guy in chapter 39 and the black spiky hair guy too the panel below. Since those were players I thought were in Aryus and by extension Karasus and Otoyas stratum, I think Hiori will still probably be in that stratum. Would have to shuffle some players like maybe tanakas and teamates around but Im guessing Hiori was still in that stratum. Wish there was a way to ask the author directly but don't think it would be easy
@@akiraendojiI’m inclined to believe it was a typo for several reasons besides Hiori having black shoes in the manga and anime and that Hiori was actually ranked 231 or something. First, correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Hiori one of the few Blue Lock participants that actually played semi-professionally prior to Blue Lock? That alone should place him in the top 60 players based on said prior experience aka he’s good enough to be in team v. Second, Hiori just doesn’t fit the profile of a sole survivor. His main skill is passing and high football IQ, which means team support, which means he likely had high assist numbers but low individual goals. Niko is another player that doesn’t fit the sole survivor profile in terms of his strengths but he was able to become it through pure motivation and grit. Hiori meanwhile literally hates football so getting through purely by motivation to score goals seems unlikely. And if Hiori’s team z made it through and Hiori is in Karasu’s stratum (highly probable) then that means that 3/5 team z’s survived which is extremely unlikely. Third, how would Hiori know Otoya is descended from ninjas if they weren’t teammates? That’s not very Ninja-like of Otoya to randomly reveal personal information to an opponent… and I also seriously doubt that a top six player like Otoya would play with Hiori in team z (there’s also no evidence to suggest they knew each other outside of Blue Lock as Hiori would have mentioned it like he did for Karasu). So in conclusion, I do think that you are right in placing Hiori in team v and this new info doesn’t change that.

Hello! Congratulations this video is amazing! I had fun reconstructing the five buildings that house the other team selections, so I wanted to highlight some points that differ from yours 1) I believe that the main representatives of the 5 stratum are exactly the top 6 we know from the subsequent selection. So, based on this idea: Itoshi (Team V - 1st stratum), Shido (Team V - 2nd stratum), Karasu-Otoya (Team V - 3rd stratum), Yukimiya (Team V - 4th stratum), Nagi (Team V - 5th stratum). It might be a coincidence, but I find that this division works perfectly to have 5 solid Team V. 2) I think Nishioka and Ishikari don't belong to a solitary Team V; I believe they are part of Rin Itoshi's Team V. This is because when it came time to choose which pair to go with, they chose Rin's Team A. 3) According to Nagi's spinoff number 19, we learn that Hiiragi's shoes are black (like those of a Team V), which conflicts with the anime that places him in a Team X because of the white shoes. So, I tend to believe that the coloring of the shoes in the anime does not entirely reflect those in the canon story. Another curious observation: we know that Hiiragi will play against Nagi and Baro. Probably during the match, he will be impressed by Baro's skills and therefore choose to be part of Team B to stand alongside the King. Option 2: still considering the black shoes, he already knew Karasu and Otoya because all three were in Team V, so he decides to return with them. It's a shame that the author doesn't release a complete Egoist Bible 2.0, where we could study and delve into these details. At this point, I believe the animated series takes a bit too many liberties (for example, among the first to pass the second selection, it included two players from Mikage's Team V, Sota Nemoto and Retsu Nerima), and that shoes coloring is probably entirely random.
This is so well thought out you really went all out. This will definitely come in handy for my episode rin fan story was gonna skip the first selection arc for his perspective but now this video gave me something to go off of.

I don't think it's really a problem that Hiori's Team V is stacked. We know that Team V advanced from pretty much every stratum, since there's so many Team V players. Thematically I think it makes sense that Rin's team V only has him, his teammates were likely irrelevant in his team placing first, and as such by the end of the 2nd selection they were all eliminated, since they hadn't grown as players, just leeching off Rin's skills. Shidou's the 2nd ranked player by the end of 3rd selection, and I don't think it's outlandish to think he could have carried his team to victory either, with Tokimitsu being the only other noteworthy player. Meanwhile none of Hiori, Karasu, Aryu, Otoya, and Yukimiya I would feel comfortable making those claims about. It's much more likely that their team had multiple strong players similarly to Team Z in the first stratum.

I would like to correct you a little bit, according to the shoes theory, in the tryout's panels, in Reo's match, it appears that Ishikari is from team Y and Tanaka from team V, so that it means Nishioka maybe a team V player also like Ishikari, like you said in the vid. I'm pretty sure of it because you can see thier shoes several time in that match. And off course, very good vid.
Yeh, i used the shoes from the anime since they were officially coloured and I thought Kaneshiro would inform the anime team of a potential update. Ishikari and Nishioka being from team X does give some options but since Hiori seems to be a team Z (291) im guessing the author didnt put much time into deciding the original teams.
As much as the second teamZ theory makes sense I don’t like the idea of there being a second teamZ passed the first selection Like Kuon said isagi’s teamZ barely defeated teamY so it’s seems nearly impossible for them to beat teamV but they improve and evolve every match which kinda crazy to think about that player can improve so much in such a short time almost like a miracle but they did .There being another team Z kinda ruins their uniqueness And isn’t teamZ supposed to be the worst team in each stratum two teamZ don’t make sense (unless Ego’s ranking is just false which isn’t impossible considering teamX players are all trash except Barou)
I'd like to think the top 3 in second selection and third selection are the top scorer of their stratum considering Karasu is known to be a top youth player and Aryu and Tokimitsu are both team V which means they are likely top scorer, my basis for this theory is just because theyre the top 3 lol
Ok so assuming that every assumption you said was correct, definitive list would be: 1- Rin (t v), Saramadura (w), Himizu (t x; I put him as the 11th unknown team player because as you see without him there are only 2 named characters in the stratum), the two sole survivors in the same panel (y and z) 2- Shidou, Tokimistu (t v), fringe hair guy (w), Yuzu (x), Kurona, Sokura (t y), black hair guy (z) 3- Hiori, Karasu, Otoya, Yukimiya, Aryu (t v), Tanaka (t w), Hiiragi (x), unknown (y), Shiguma (z) 4- Ishikari, Nishioka (t v), Kiyora (w), unknown (x), Haiji (y), Nanase, Tsunzaki, Endoji (t z)
Guys, don't be alarmed, it's up to your own decision to deny this great theory, just because Hiori is from team Z, it can still be true since there have been cases that the author changes some things from how they were previously shown, such as for example the rank of the Wanima twin is different. in the anime to that of the manga in the second selection the design of Kiyora's hair and eyes was also recently changed because the colors seen in the anime were like placeholders but the author had not yet decided on them as such Maybe we should deactivate this theory with characters that have more importance in the future as it is now but to make it more interesting with the secondary characters I consider that we can still believe since they will not have as much prominence to receive changes

12:38 i think we all think it's unlikely because we are used to having only one or two good characters from other teams, while if you think about it no other team z or y or any were able to defeat team v in other strata. also having 5 good characters is'nt a problem since they are team v and could've easily swept through the other 4 teams in their stratum

i dint think they knew each other before cuz the first time he kicked him in the face rin was surprised by it and since they fight in literally every moment possible it should be obvious they would before too wich would make rin get used to it. plus shidou calls them more interesting names than "that guy" so yeah i dont think he knew him
