Lord William Howard was my 15th Great Grandfather, descending from Lady Joan (Mary) Howard. I discovered this today (10/08/24) and my mind is trying to process the fact that Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard and Queen Elizabeth 1 are my ancestors
on my great grand fathers side, his great grandmother was a Howard, the first female in a direct line of males that stretches through all of the dukes mentioned, and all their fathers before (Notable Howards as far back as around 1000) and all of their sons up until my great grandfathers great grandmother.
Just found out I'm related to the Howard's, arundels, fitzalans, Tudors, grays, and seymour families. I forgot to add Stewart as well. Mary queen of scots is in my family line as well
@@rhaellia3661 The Earl of Arundel was and is a title of English nobility, rather than a family name/surname. The title is currently held by the Duke of Norfolk, who belongs to the Fitzalan-Howard family.
Are any of you on the DNA results, because my family has a copy of the lineage back to Trojan war? It would be nice to learn from one another to see if we are the true royals over Windsor
yes, but the "howard" the English and modern name. I believe it goes back to "hewerd" and "heward" all the way back in scotland. I believe clan heward was in the battle for scottish independence along with the likes of william wallace. This is based off my grandmothers genealogy studies, so take this with a grain of salt. Just a family tale passed down to me.
