I used to live in Holiday in the subdivision called Key Vista. The clubhouse was filled with Indian artifacts because the subdivision was supposedly built on an Indian mound but I'm not sure of which Indians they belonged. We were just a few miles from Philippe park in Safety Harbor. This was an excellent video and I feel educated on the subject of the Tocobaga.

Came here for a quick education on Tocobaga people. It is now 1 day past hurricane Ian. A lot of mention via social media about the protection mounds of these people. This video was very informative.

History of my area!! Very cool. I went to Sacred Ground and it is beautiful. A way to get more visitors may be Airbnb. Tourists love interesting tours and sights.

I live near the Hillsborough River and I think where I live there was a village because I've found countless chips three arrowheads and my dad found pottery with a spiral design.

thanks for the informative video, but would like to push back on a few ideas presented. firstly, none of the peoples of turtle island or abya yala conceived of property and title in the way that europeans did, and all accounts of perceived property “ownership” are generally considered misunderstandings. same goes for them having “separated church and state,” their political organization was nothing like what we would call a state nowadays, nor did they conceive of any reason for why their spiritual beliefs, and thus their own origin story, would have to be separate from their organizational preference.
