Clamp's central midfield is soft😭 If I were to make a Japan u20 team, I'd go with an ultra-attacking 4-4-2 diamond (aka 4-1-2-1-2) formation with: *GK: Gagamaru* [best GK around who can both sweep up the ball outside his area] *CBs: Aiku and Niko* [best overall CB and best defence organiser in Japan u20 respectively] *LB: Chigiri* [fastest player in the team with great recovery pace and defensive contribution. Could also find opportunities to use the 44° Panther Snipe in attack] *RB: Yukimiya* [I'd have put Kurona but amongst all the wide BL players in the NEL, I don't think there was anyone who had more defensive contributions and presence than him. From blocking Nagi's shot with his face, switching flanks to close down Chigiri, trying to narrow Lorenzo's passing courses and Barou's shot courses, whilst making well-timed runs and dribbles into the opposition area. It's gotta be Yukimiya] *CDM: Karasu* [great dueling ability + superb analytical ability, he can drop deep to form a back 3 (like in the u20 match) whilst being able to make forward runs and defending spaces to delay counters] *LCM and RCM: Reo and Bachira* [this is the perfect CM pairing for such a formation. I'd have gone for Hiori for his passing precision but I think these two offer a greater range of creativity and defensive balance in the centre. Both are great at short passing combinations (Reo x Nagi combos + Bachira x Otoya freestyle chemical reactions both resemble a form of Isagi x Kurona Planet Hotline, the most lethal short passing combination in the NEL), Reo offers freely changing creativity [bounce passes, curled passes, one-twos, and basically a downgraded version of Sae's dribbling and passing abilities] whilst being a solid defensive presence, has awakened Meta-Vision, decent 1v1 duel ability and ball retention etc. Bachira is the best central (and overall) dribbler amongst Japan u20s, meaning with him it's waaay easier to progress the ball through crowded areas with anything other than passes. Add his instinctive creativity and great passing, these two can break down any defence) *AMC: Isagi* [best Shadow Striker in the business. Performs best goals wise with a recognised striker ahead of him who he can devour or form chemical reactions with, whilst also allowing him to roam all over the field doing his other Meta-Vision stuff. No need to explain more] *STs: Rin and Shidou* [a conservative and insanely accurate shooter paired with a scrappy instinctive, insanely acrobatic unpredictable finisher, this is the best possible striker combination to generate ANY type of goal. I'd have chosen Barou (and i could still choose him) who's as shot-hungry and unpredictable and, unlike the other two main attackers (Isagi and Rin), takes as many low percentage shots as Shidou, but I prefer the latter because he has greater presence inside the box). It has a great balance of abilities, amazing toxicity for chemical reactions and devouring and challenge-centered focuses, this team possibly can't lose😂

I think I prefer Apolloo‘s Concept because it offers way more versatility with the players included. Way better positions assigned for switching between offense and defense…..and as much of a boost being the MC is Rin and Shidou are in my eyes the best when it comes to the striker position.

If you put isagi in the wings or striker position you are just biased af 💀. Because ain't no way he's starting as a striker ahead of barou and shidou. And no way in hell he's starting ahead of Rin, bachira and chigiri. Isagi is perfect for CAM or CM. Not anywhere else.
