Don’t forget, this is technically the Laurie from the comics. As a Laurie stan, I want her to win, but unfortunately until we get more cosmetics depicting how she grows up, she’s still only Halloween 1 Laurie.

I am not saying Laurie isn't tough or a strong Survivor, she definitely is. Mikaela is just one of the strongest Survivors in the realm through her abilities to alter the rules of the trial, something not said of most Survivors. Feel free to convince me if you think Laurie should beat her though, I encourage discussion.

I appreciate that context on Bill, I was primarily thinking of him in terms of knowing he sacrificed himself for those closest to him. I do think that after repeated trials he would build connections with the other Survivors and he'd treat them the same, but for a fresh Survivor, now that you have given that context, possibly not.

I just think people downplay Nancy too much, but what it ultimately comes down to for me is what I said about Steve not leaving without Nancy and sacrificing himself to make sure she gets out.

@@Jturby If you check his lore he basically met Vigo or the Observer and he had centuries before joining the games, surviving against behemoths and other creatures, Vittorio is definitely super strong, and also has plot armor you could argue

Kinda, experience and training are important in a lot of these since most don't have supernatural abilities. I forgot that Yoichi has psychic abilities, so I'd actual change my argument on him.

I'm with you 100% on this. Yeah, the only reason Ash didn't go to the final round was he went up against Cheryl early on, otherwise they'd be the final two.

But I approached it more from the angle that I think most people underestimate just how powerful Mikaela is in the realm (lore-wise). So I could see an argument for why Laurie would survive too.

Tbh with you, even though they don’t have supernatural powers, I think Steve, Leon, Jill and Ada would be great members too. Steve because I think he’d be a great support character, Leon and Jill because they’ve fought a lot of crazy shit and been through a lot. Ada, because she’s able to survive impossible odds and find some way to escape death.

So you do make a valid point to consider how long they've been in the fog, however, that's not necessarily based on when they were released. For instance Vittorio has been in the fog for hundreds of years. So for those we can know how long they've been in, you're right that it's a valid stat to factor in. Though I've also heard people say their memories are wiped after each trial... though I've never seen that for myself in the lore so either I've yet to come across it or it's simply commonly held head canon. If I redo this or do something similar I'll consider it. Legendary skins are slightly harder because they have less lore to pull from, but still could work.

Vittorio is definitely super popular, which I'm 100% okay with. That said, I do have a lot of Ash fans and old school Evil Dead fans who watch the channel, so my results could be quite different in that case. The catch with Ash is that he has literal plot armor on his side from a lore perspective.

Regarding Ash, he's an old school horror icon. Those who grew up watching him usually have a lot of fondness for him. He's extremely experienced and lucky, as if you took Cheryl and Ace combined. He's also hilarious, which is why a lot of Ash players love to meme around with him. In the movies he also has a prophecy about him that is pretty much impenetrable plot armor.

RE3 Jill definitely is going to survive against RE2 Leon. You're right that RE4 Leon would stand a better chance, although I'm not sure I would say he'd easily win, Jill's pretty tough.

Perks kinda explain the powers they have. Cheryl mason being able to order the entity to close a generator. Yoichi and mikaela being able to bless etc.

So great point. I think the reason I felt I could say that about Steve and not Laurie was that for Steve I was referring to a smaller timeframe, i.e. the potential he reaches in the show is over a short timeframe. Now, to be totally transparent, I haven't seen the Halloween series, so I could be missing the fact that Laurie does too, feel free to fill me in. But my main reason to not vote Laurie early on had to do with her facing Mikaela, who in my estimation, should have made it close to the end due to her powers. So even though granted I argued for Laurie's inexperience, it really had less to do with Laurie and more to do with Mikaela. All that said, I appreciate you making the comment and making sure I keep my logic consistent. Sometimes I can falter in that so always feel free to point that out. Thanks!

@@theARoberts that’s totally fair and reasonable, I do agree that Steve does grow into that role later on in the series (not to mention Nancy stopped hesitating entirely by S4, she was probably the most proactive out of the cast). That being said, while I agree Mickey has her boons and magic, it’s a bit different than the experience one has when facing the supernatural. Yes, she can alter the trials, but without much experience, her boons will only heal/ hide her for so long. Laurie is complicated because of the version they added to DbD. But if we based it off potential (as well as the all potential timelines) Laurie would have an insane amount of experience and training. She would definitely be up there. I know a lot won’t agree with me since she perished in other timelines, but the most current one she is a boss. I’d say that’s what puts her above Mickey for the most part, even with the current version we had. She managed to fight Michael/ avoid him on her own. But at the end of the day that’s just my opinion. I do believe Laurie if paired up with someone would sacrifice herself to get someone out. She’d go down swinging, no doubt about it!

I agree. I love Jill. But Cheryl makes more sense to survive it all. Great question! I'd say Ash to be honest. Though I think he'd try his best to get everyone out. His plot armor is just too thick. He's got experience, luck, and prophecy on his side.
