Good video so far, I just wanted to explain the blighted nemesis, from what I can see the nemesis Is partly mutated into his second form from the RE3 remake hence why his head and upper back look the way they do as it mutates into a more animalistic creature instead of a more humanoid form

Doctor has a third eye because the blight serum tends to do that with body parts. If you haven't noticed, the Blight himself has 6 fingers instead of 5 on each hand.

@@theARobertsand also nemesis’s eyes can be explained in the re3 remake in his 2nd form where seems to have mutated. The blighted skin seems to have been influenced much by this form.

It seems the blight serum takes some prominent features and makes them... more. For example Trapper had those spikes, and it accentuated them. The wraith and his wood theme made him turn into a wooden blighted thing. The doctor who had monitor and abuse, now has another 'eye' and they're looking all around, as well as the tubes and wires coming out of him. For all the other killers the designer of these skins had a great attention to detail and lore.

Wesker is my favorite because of how minimal it is. That plus you can see that there are some uroboros tendrils that are affected with the blight serum sticking out making his right arm slightly bulkier but not the left, which implies that the uroboros infection can somewhat fight it off.

Great points, and this goes well with the lore-text for the cosmetics, because Wesker chose to be injected with Blight's serum to see how the interaction would go

I believe the reason why Wraith is made from wood with his blighted form is probably because almost all of his cosmetics are wood based.

Actually the wraith had is original lord scrapped when the off brand Michele Meyers was entirely scrapped because they had the rights to the actual Michael meyers so the team decided to replace the wraiths lore with his since there were already maps made for that killer we don’t entirely know what wraiths originally lord is but we do know it has something to do with a big tree so maybe he was created from that tree and he stalked the woods maybe the hag came out with the realm intended for wraith but who knows what they took out the map that was apart of wraiths original lore Sorry for spelling errors I didt feel like reading what I wrote

The reason why wraith is like a tree, according to a theory video, is because originally he was supposed to be a tree spirit killer. I don’t remember the details is hinted at in different parts of the game. His map was supposed to be backwater swamp rather than autohaven, but they changed him last minute

Sorry for the late reply here. I just wanted to point something out about the Huntress skin. In her lore, she is rumored by soldiers at the time to be a Bodark, or a werewolf who can change shape at will. If you look at her skin, not only does she grow fur, but her feet grow in size and art pointed like a wolf/werewolf. I personally believe the Blighted serum is forcing her transformation, hence the animal eyes and fur. I hope this insight gives you another point of view when looking at her skin. I believe it could’ve been fleshed out a little more, but the hidden details behind it could have a lot of implications about her character as a whole!

Spirits is my favourite due to the concept. It’s called “blazing lineage” referencing the curse her family has. The serum mixed with the wrath of her ancestors causing her head to take a form very very reminiscent of Oni’s mask as if the serum caused her to regress back into the very being that started the Yamaoka curse. Hence why she has a third eye, two glass shards resembling horns and the much more tamed looking bush of hair. Another note is that the individual pieces of each cosmetic share little details. Some of my favourites are: that the serum caused Oni’s horns to grow much much larger but the pain plus his rage led to him snapping one off, the knife wielded by legion is Joey’s and he tried to use it to cut himself free from the rest of the group but failed once Frank gained control over his arm, Blight looks the way he does because he’s got so much serum in him that a visceral canker (i think that’s what they’re called) is now growing inside of him

Fun fact, there is a lot of evidence that Wraith was supposed to be a woodland esc creature killer, due to him originally being located in the swamps and an unused file mentioning a blood tree that had relations to wraith. Originally the auto haven was for a Michael Myers killer named Bob, but they got the rights to Myers so they scrapped Bob and gave Wraith Auto haven since the swamp was taking too long to finish. There is a whole video on it by Mintskull 😊. I think that's why so many of his cosmetics are wood themed including his blight, because originally he was supposed to be some type of wood monster like an evil groot thingy.

Legions is my absolute favourite. The body horror is IMMACULATE. Along with the lore of it just makes me so creeped out. And the knife is one of my favourites. I may be biased as a legion main but I don’t care. It’ll always be my favourite.

Simple explanation on the more boring names, it was simply due to license holders The four you complained about were "Scorched Ghostface," "Pyramid Blight," "Nemesis Blight," and "Blighted Wesker" all of which are the licensed blight skins Edit: Also, I like the Huntress' one because it really feels like she is a werewolf of sorts in it, With Hillbilly and Plague, I do agree that they are kind of meh, for billy mostly because his leg piece has nothing special (or blighted) about it, but plague I dont really know what else they could do, other than a skin for the power (which they have never done, hence why I hate the twins' cosmetics so much, justice for victor) to make her red puke blighted

Yeah, I think you are 100% correct on that. But even Ghostface got somewhat of a creative name so I feel they could do something a little more creative than "Blighted Wesker" for instance, but licenses cause weird restrictions sometimes so who knows how bad their restrictions were. And I can fully appreciate you liking Huntress'. That's why I love these tier lists because they are subjective and I like hearing how other people's likes differ from mine. I obviously liked the skin enough to buy it 😂It would be cool if skins could affect the appearance of the special ability too (and definitely justice for Victor!).

A late reply but here’s a few fun facts Trapper has more hooks in him because most of the blighted skins happen in the future, so it shows that while being blighted trapper tried to fight the entity more Wraith become a tree like thing because he is normally related to the swamps Billy’s skin and scars grow more showing his more deformed monster side Huntress gets fur and more anima eyes because the blighted serum shows her animalistic side Hag, like wraith, is also associated with swamps Doctor gets another eye because the blight serum sometimes makes them grow extra things, also I think that shock collar thing is to give the doctor extra shock power Clown gets an extra ring of fingers, showing the skins are in the future Spirit gets a third eye, like an oni, and become more demon like Legion gets all members Ghostface starts to look like a dragon hence the wings( I think) Oni starts to look like a more traditional Japanese oni, with the third eye and demon horns Pyramidhead gets barbed wire wrapped around him, the same kind that comes out of the ground when he uses trails of torment Blight just gets more blighted, with the blight flowers growing out of him

My standard for a blight serum skin is that it has both deterioration of the original skin as well as a sort of mutation on top of that. As original Blight as one extra finger on each hand, yet his jaw is disfigured and distorted. Bonus points if it has something that ties to the character within the skin too, such as Huntress’ bunny features from the serum’s mutation or Legion with all 4 legion members meshed and combined into one.

Ghost face blighted skin is making him one with the costume. No longer the guy wearing it and the ghost face, but only the ghost face. The "wings" are the floaty ribbens the entity gave him, the arrows on the arms are the marks on the sleeves, and the mask has become his face. Also if I remember the blight goo makes the killers more of the monster they are including making them stronger.

Wait, where did you get that Wesker injected it himself? That would be a cool detail, but on the skin the blight serum is injected into his back just like the rest of them? That said, someone else also mentioned how Wesker appears to be controlling it similar to the Uroboros which is a really cool detail too! Thanks for pointing it out!

The Wraith seems to have some inspiration from a traditional hunter tribe ( i forgot the name of it) and their appearance had their masks wooden which is why wraith looks more like a decayed tree than himself.

I've always wondered how blight would be able to inject the blight stuff into pyramid head nemesis and Wesker and oni like all 4 of those killers are pretty strong so I've been curious how blight was able to do it I would still love to see Michael with a blight cosmetic probably won't happen but it would be nice if he gets one they have done it with Wesker and nemesis why not Michael

So Wesker's cosmetic I believe mentions that he actually did it to himself (even though the injection is still in his back), which makes me think the Wesker & Blight willingly worked together to make it happen. Perhaps it's the same with some of the others? Otherwise I just figured Blight is fast enough to get in, inject, and get out before getting stomped. I would love to see a Michael one as well, they'd probably have to get permission from the license holder/update the licensing contract. I'm betting the baked it into the license contract when they did the RE and SH licenses from the start.

That's one of the cool things about it, even mentions in the description that he did it to himself to see the interaction between the two. The only thing odd about it to me is that the vile is still sticking out of his back like the Blight snuck up on him but the description makes it sound self inflicted. Maybe he was working together with Blight??? Either way, very cool detail.

I think the reason ghosty boy has the wings is cause hes like turning into a dragon because of the serum. Hence "scorched ghostface"

So there is lore where the Black Vale is connected with some kind of dragon entity or something in another DBD universe... or something like that. I read it briefly so the details are fuzzy but decided I definitely needed to look into it more later. All that to say I wonder if that is somehow connected??? But yeah, that would fit the name as you said!

I think Wraith's weapon had a syrum because it's technically a different person, maybe... The Entity could be keeping Azarov (the skull and spine's original... owner) alive meaning Blight would have to blight Azarov as well.

I bought onis blighted mask only because the rest of him just is not different enough at least other skins have ONE part that doesn’t change much not 2 it really deserved to be lower The skin reacting to him being enraged would be cool if no other oni skin did that at this point it’s just to be expected

I do find the skin pretty gross and would have also preferred one for each member, but I also think it's an interesting skin that opens up neat lore implications too.

Maybe I'm biased but I love Huntress' one, by far my favourite, the fur on her body, like the blight serum made her part rabbit like her mask, so awesome and just as creepy and disgusting as you'd expect for a blight skin Edit: I love how spirit looks like an oni Edit 2: ghostface is also awesome

I'm glad you like her skin! It's all subjective and I love hearing what other people think because it creates some great conversation. I obviously like the skin too because I bought it, it just wasn't my favorite blighted skin on the whole. It is cool how they made Spirit look like an Oni, especially since her lore is connected to Oni. I agree, Ghostface's is awesome, it confuses me, but that's part of what makes it awesome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! P.S. I saw a notification for your comment on the "Who is the Strongest" video, but for some reason RU-vid scrubbed it so I can't respond. I understand your view. To me it's actually neat lorewise, because the strength of the Uroboros virus is helping Wesker keep the blighted serum under control, hence why he's been affected by it less than any of the others.
