i don't think that warrior cats is mature enough to do this but i would LOVE for sandstorm to give her a life for "never losing yourself in relationships" it would be so good for them to have that moment with each other as squilf has just gone through so much turmoil in her relationship with bramblestar and how sandstorm was someone who was so strong and would never let a man tell her how to live her life
terrible thought: dead newborns stay as newborns in starclan. There's just a big pile of confused, blind, barely mobile kittens meowing in the corner and when a new one dies they just add it to the pile

I have a feeling Squirrelflight’s leader ceremony won’t happen until the end of the new book. She will start the journey there, then they’ll discover a wounded Frostpaw, and the whole thing will be postponed so they can take Frostpaw back to camp. This way with Frostpaw in camp, all 3 main protagonists of this arc will be in Thunderclan, and then Nightheart and Frostpaw will go on their quest. Major resolutions come from that, and grand finale is Squirrelstar. I might be forgetting some things though, but I think this will happen.
That would actually be interesting, though would they be able to find Frostpaw? She was near Windclan camp and coming the opposite direction. What COULD happen if going the postponed part cause of Frostpaw is starclan tells her to save her? But if she was close to wc camp why a patrol was out I still think it be a bit wierd. Windclan hasn't been really around much? Yet at the same time I feel they been acting off? I wonder how'd they'll act with finding a injured riverclan cat like right there by their camp. Tho it being postponed could be interesting maybe starclan is too on edge about the trouble in Riverclan? Or she has to do something before she can get them, but windclan finding frost and the tensions in the clans make it hard for her to get them until the end of the book.

Especially since Breezepelt's patrol had sensed Frost at some point even if they brushed it off at the time they might want to look through again just to see. It's definitely gonna be an interesting plot, part me wonders who cats would immediately blame(I can see some taking the chance to say a Shadowclan cat did it or something to make the tension worse.)
That would be incredibly awkward, Brindleface would be like, you killed my son, ferncloud would be like, you killed my brother.... anyway, he's a life lol.

And would they still need to nurse too? I assume starclan cats still eat because they talk about starclan having endless prey because it's always summer.
Have yet to watch through the video but I just want to put forth my gleefully tragic headcanon: one of her nine lives is Bramblestar giving her his last remaining life, and that's the prophesied 'sacrifice' he has to make
With the line in Squirrelflight's Hope about Briarlight's disability that was "supposed to be removed" in the next reprint, but never was, I doubt they would touch Briarlight with a 20 foot pole ever again. Even possibly Cinderpelt might be off limits.
The series handling of disability is poor at best especially Squirrelflight’s Hope. I mean they essentially said it’s better to be dead than disabled in that book. It’s a shame they may keep out fantastic characters because of their lack of ability to not be sexist and ableist.

It would honestly be painfully ironic if Sandstorm ended up giving Squirrelflight a life considering she's the one who tried to convince Squirrelflight to stay dead. A fun one would be if they had Stemleaf give her a life as a complete left field option, he'd be a good candidate for that "what you know to be right" life.
They need to start letting mothers give lives for cool shit. For example, wouldn’t graypool have been better as a life for discretion? Since she was capable of keeping the secret intact for so long with no trouble? (It would ask further explain Misty’s isolationist behavior, also I simply think Stonefur should have given her love). Also I think Palebird should have given a life for “having the wisdom to decide when to move on” since both her and Tallstar had to learn to let go. Completely unrelated but I think it’s so sweet Flametail gave his brother love.
i doubt itll ever happen, as im certain that the new team doesnt know about Jake apparently being in starclan, but id love to see him give Squirrelflight a life. theres a few reasons for this; 1- im curious about what he'd give her. perhaps bravery/courage, determination/persistance, adaptability, or something related to 'adventure' considering he was 'an outdoors cat who frequented the clans'. id also accept love, as itd be ironic because of how many mates he had LMAO 2- we dont really get to see grandparent and grandchild relationships in warriors. i think itd be interesting to get a life from her grandpa, especially since we were robbed from Firestar getting one from Jake. 3- i just want Jake content. i think he's an interesting character, and i wanna see more of him. 4- this one is mostly headcanon, but i LOVE the idea of the adventurous charasmatic 'does-what-he-wants-and-believes-in' grandfather giving the adventerous loveable 'does-what-she-wants-and-believes-in' grabddaughter a life -- especially if this life is one of the ones i said above. i think itd be cool for him to, while hes explaining why hes giving her this life, tell her that shes very similar to himself. i want them to BOND i dont CARE IF HES DEAD. im now gonna go write a fanfiction about this im too invested
As much as I would ADORE a Jake life especially if he came with Tallstar, if they gave a grandparent a life it’s probably unfortunately far more likely they would just confirm Redtail as Sandstorm’s dad.

It would be cute to headcanon that Leafpool takes care of Dandelionkit and Juniperkit in StarClan like Snowfur did with Mosskit. It’d be like Leafpool returning Squirrelflight the favor of taking care of Leafpool’s kits for her.

Some background characters (Like Brightflower and Lily[step?]) were sent to the dark forest for having strong negative emotions about (Brightflower) losing her kits and (Lilystep) becoming paralyzed after a cave-in when she was a tunneler for Windclan. Hell even Frecklewish went to hell for not drowning herself in a raging river flood. Plenty of cats have gone to the Dark Forest for hilariously awful reasons.
I could see Ferncloud giving the mother's love life. She had a lot of tangible impact on Squirrelflight's life. I disagree that Shrewpaw would just be fanservice. IIRC, Squilf does call him her best friend.
if hollyleaf shows up (which i hope she does) i think she should either give squilf a life for forgivness or honesty as that would be an interesting concept based on hollyleafs sudo-betrayal of her mom and her sudo-mom.
Assuming we ever get Squilf's ceremony in a future book, I think Loyalty would actually come from Leafpool. Leafpool and Squirrelstar's loyalty to each other is one of their most defining traits, and no matter what they two of them have each other's backs. It was loyalty to Leafpool that drove Squilf to do most of everything in the third and fourth arcs, when it wasn't love of her kits.

If Squirrelflight does get her nine lives the only one I really want to see is Shrewpaw. They were close friends as apprentices when he was killed and I always thought if Shrepaw lived Squirrelflights life wouldn't have been full of so much pain and if we could at least get a moment of interaction between them I'd probably cry which being honest I haven't cried reading a Warriors book since The Last Hope and A Vision Of Shadows

It's a real shame that in the recent book we get to see Squirrelstar but she doesn't actually do anything and we never even get to see her leader ceremony. Why do we see nothing? Because of Frostpaw. And technically Riverstar.
Feathertail's a candidate for a life slot too, because even if she's with the Tribe currently, any fellow road trip member would be a strong contender in my view.
I feel like if Squirrelflight will definitely get a life probably from her mother Sandstorm as she definitely has her mother's personality and maybe her mother's life will probably be strength to make the wisest of choices

While I assume the writing team will probably dump Thunderstar in because they love putting DOTC cats everywhere he is actually a surprisingly fitting cat to give Squilf a life. While they aren’t related like most of the cats on the list they do have a lot of similarities between them. He was a cat raised by his uncle the way Squilf raised the three, if anyone would understand that sort of love it would absolutely be Thunderstar. Thunderstar also had a lot of relationship issues that his family got a little too invested in, especially Clearsky. Thunderstar is also a cat who is very much guided by his heart, not necessarily to the degree Squilf is, but enough that him giving her a life is relevant. I really hope he gives Squilf a life for either strength or courage. Honestly the reason I probably associate them is because Thunderstar is literally just Lionblaze 2. Honestly I’m just glad Squilf’s arc didnt end with her dad dating her love interest like Thunderstar’s did lol.
I think it would be a fantastic callback to have Honeyfern give Squirrel a life. Like she died to save a child from a snake, imagine her giving Squirrel a life for sacrifice or making the hard choices, one tragic female who wanted to be a mother to another tragic female who has been and has lost babies

Ferncloud ( it’s possible but not the most likely. I just really like Ferncloud and like to think she and Squilf were friends.) I have yet to read the latest book (dgaf about spoilers) but I swear to god if leafpools life is about her being a mom and not a sister i will strangle god. The best love in that series is the love they have as siblings. Eta: if firestar shows up with graystripe instead of sandstorm i will cackle cause yes.

I really hope they do is make her leader and redeem Bramble. Most of us who loved Bramble hate what he became and switched over to Squilf. I still hold loyalty to him for his old character but I’m ready for him to die before they can defame his character anymore. Genuinely if a fox attacked Bramble and Squilf on the way to the moonpool and Bramble gives his last life to save Squilf I think everyone would be happy. Squilf would be leader no questions asked and Bramble would’ve finally had a moment of redemption to make Al of us old Bramble lovers happy
As someone who hasnt caught up with the books finding out a couple of these characters that are DEAD was kinda heartbreaking 😭😭😭😭😭 Really interesting we could possibly have one with nearly all dead family members being there. Mother, father (probably paired into one) sister, children and adoptive child. And even a mentor could be considered family even though its a stretch. Nobody's had all the boxes checked so if she does all of them very interesting
Tbh I don’t think she will get 9, because if you remember the Pinestar situation, when he stepped down and Sunstar took his place Sunstar only got 8 lives. So since Bramblestar, soon to be Brambleclaw again, steps down she should get eight cause he is still alive.

i know it's probably for sexist reasons vs nuance, but i wonder if goldenflower's life was moreso telling brambleclaw to forgive squirrelflight for doing what she had to for a mother's love and/or hinting they'll have kits at the end of bramble's storm? then again, the books don't like to acknowledge her as a mom of the 3....... so.......

I’m taking where I got this information with a grain of salt, since and especially because it’s from the wiki, but apparently, Hollyleaf was at Bramblestar’s ceremony but couldn’t give a life since she murdered Ashfur. Again, I’m taking this with a SHAKER of salt, as I do not always trust the wiki, and it was Vicky who stated this, so the new team may not revisit this, but I don’t believe this to be the case, since we’ve seen cats who have offed other cats in StarClan and THEY got to give lives. Hollyleaf being singled out for that is a little weird, given how we have cats who attempted or outright killed cats give out lives like candy. Again, DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR THIS.
