Whoopie sling with tie off close to the hammock The built in tie off works good as a UCR line too...see here... • Hammock shuttle (UCR) ... #hardwarefreearoundatree #myerstechhammocklab
Everyone that tells me they don't like whoopie slings mentions the that need more space between trees. I saw Shug larks head his whoopie to the CL which keeps the CL available for narrow tree spacing. This is an innovative way to combine those features. Very nice.
Always appreciate your innovation......but left wondering if you just use a continuous loop or an evo loop threaded through the hammock, you maintain the capacity to short set and enable easy connection of what ever hanging system you desire. Also would love to know what advantages you think whoopie slings have over ucr' s?
nothing has any advantage over anything really , its all preference. Just look at the features and benefits of UCR and Whoopie and pick a favorite. As far as putting an evo loop in there, obviously that is a option. This just makes it even simpler and adds nearly zero work to the job of making the whoopie sling with plenty of benefit
Ah, yet another really nice invention from you. Thanks! But just one question; What made you abandon the version with a knot, from last year? Thanks again for all the great videos! :)
I think I've achieved the same result by making a continuous loop, threading that through the hammock, then adding a stainless steel ring onto the loop. I can attach a whoopie sling onto the ring, or attach the ring to the tree hugger using a soft shackle. The ring also acts as a water run off point on the suspension.
What is the correct length needed? I've listened to the video 3 times and keep hearing that we need 12 feet, 14 inches. Of course, I am old and so are my ears.
