@@Jasen-M74 Hi Brother, I appreciate your comment! The little jingle is not mine, but something I remember from years ago! Very true about the struggle in Romans 7 as well as in Galatians! Blessings on you! Dave 📖
A person can be saved without understanding the dual nature of the believer, but a correct understanding of overall scripture cannot be learned without this foundational understanding. Thanks for teaching such an important lesson while keeping it short enough that people might listen!
@@scriptureplz9045I wouldnt really call it a “dual nature”. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 Paul states that we have become New Creatures in Christ and the old has passed away. Our old nature (it’s gone) no longer has complete power over us . In saying that, what we do have is our mind that remembers our old nature and hasnt been perfectly transformed yet, thats why Paul wants us to renew our minds and we do that with Gods word. Basically before we got saved we trained our minds in the likeness of the fleshly desires and of sin, so it will take time to undo all that as we learn to spiritually grow and mature and let the Holy Spirit work in us. Our minds still have sinful habits that we need to work on towards becoming more like Christ and so our bodies that arent made perfect yet will still sin and give in from time to time. Any thoughts?
Excellent teaching. Some Christians say they are sinless because of these verses but they confuse the flesh and the spirit and they blatantly lie as they clearly sin in the flesh as we all do but our spirits are saved by believing on Christ John 3:36
@@gregory7320My family members unfortunately. We followed some guy who goes by works and not faith in Jesus. So I have to relearn all over again. The spirit warned me but I didn't listen. I see now.
When I was eight, I got saved...the next day I did something wrong, and guess what....I thought I was unsaved. I bet I was saved and unsaved 20 times (probably more lol)before I was eighteen, and finally gave up. I gave up on it all. I went to church some, but just set there, knowing what good was it for me...Because I knew I would sin again. I finally decided to wait 1 minute until I died, and then maybe I would go to Heaven. Lol Praise God, 30 years later, I became ill. I've been close to death several times, even now, But God.....He led me to, True Men of God, that knew their Bible. I was astounded, I just couldn't believe that God would give us, such a gift, and shower us with his grace, like he has. God has used something that is bad (illness) to show me the way to him. The greatest gift, I have ever been given. I often wonder what my life would have been like, had I known the truth of the Gospel. Sidenote: I can never remember, turning to the Epistles on Sunday. I can never ever remember going through a book of the Bible, chapter by chapter,. One verse from the Bible = Whole Sermon. We never knew what the Bible meant, in context, who it was talking to, or if it was before or after the Cross.
@wendy54321 you had your come to God moment or Jesus take the wheel moment. I believe that is the day we are truely save and belong to God and Jesus. when we throw our hands up and leave it to God and Jesus that is us accepting, believing and trusting in them. I had a moment similar raised "christian" and found out im queer among other things. I realized i beleive the exact date was feb 28th or 29th of 2009. i said a pray that I leave it in their hands i cant change what i am or lie about it to myself family and them. so i was gonna live my life and hope they would not send me to hell if i one day found my man to love. if it was not good for adam to be alone how is it good for lgbt folks we dont choose who we are only actions and where is it just or rightous for us to spend our lives alone with out that kinda love. But my point is that my father in heaven and my one day husband Jesus never forsaken me they always had my back and made sure i survived things i wouldnt have otherwise. they showed me scripture that affirmed who i am and their love for me. i love to hear or read about peoples true experience that caused them to realize they are his
@@bluemew88888 I pray everyone knows the love of God, not just straight Hetrosexuels. He offered the free gift to everyone, no matter our condition. God the Father sees Jesus, when he looks at us, not our sin. Sin was dealt with on the Cross. All sin, past, present, and future. God wouldnt let you go, even if you wanted him to. Your His!! I was raised in religiosity, not in Jesus. But he led me to him, even in all the confusion. I say the Gospel to myself every day, to remind myself of what Jesus did for me/us. Thank you for your words, Sister/Brother. I'll see you in the air.
Very impressed with your comments on the Lordship pet passages! This type of channel is greatly needed. It addresses common concerns quickly, yet comprehensively, without having to watch a 50 minute video. I can’t understand why other free grace preachers and teachers haven’t done this as much as you. Others have looked at some verses, but not to the extent you have. Congratulations!
Jesus died and rose agian if you believe that he died and rose and accept him as your Lord you will go to Heaven. BUT DONT USE GOD'S GRACE AS A LICENCE TO SIN!@@renaarmstrong2838
Amen and AMEN!!! So few people know or understand this truth. They instead tend to twist the verse into "doth not [continously] commit sin" to make it fit.
I'm sure there are many people like me who were saved at a young age and are now struggling with sin, I hear these verses in 1 John and I get scared, how can I still be drawn to sin if I truly got saved? Then I wonder: "Well, how could I have been deceived all this time if my faith and trust has been in the Lord?" The Lord called me to salvation at the age of 12, the Lord does not call someone for no reason, I felt the draw of the Holy Spirit calling me to Christ on the day that I got saved, I prayed and asked Jesus to save me because He called me to do so. I didn't pray because the preacher instructed me to do so, I didn't pray in order to get attention from the people in attendance, I prayed because I knew in my heart that I needed to pray and ask Jesus to save me. So, then I go back to thinking: "Well why would God call me to be saved and then cause me to question my salvation all these years later?" The answer is that the Lord would not do that, the devil is our accuser, when we give in to the lusts of out flesh and we sin the devil is right there waiting to accuse us of not genuinely believing in Christ, telling us that if we were truly saved then we would not have committed the sin that we just did. This is where satan's accusations backfire because satan is not going to accuse someone of sin who doesn't truly believe in Christ, those who claim to believe but do not truly believe are free to live however they want because they are not believers in Christ, they do not know Him and He does not know them, the devil does not attack those people because they are already where the devil wants them to be, true Christians who have a relationship with the Lord are who satan seeks to make miserable because there is nothing that the devil can do to believers anymore other than try to rob them of their joy and peace in the Lord.
Me too, I am born deaf. I dont read too good So I am still learning what he saying because I once have not masturbrate for 3 month, no sexual lust for 3 month but I broke and I am scare that I may not be born again I am trying to follow God and his will to be blameless and spotless and stop sin continually but I somehow fall again and I cry everytime because of confusion from all pastors and teachers I am not very bright when it come to understanding but I do know that I truly love my dad, my king so much and I am trying to show him the best I can and I fall again, I am supposed to stop sinning, be spotless and blameless before the lord jesus, I dont want to lose my oil lamp when he coming Sorry for bad grammer, like I said, I am born deaf, my communicate is not on par of hearing peoples Forgive me, I have so much to learn
BE ENCOURAGED and REST ON CHRIST JESUS FINISHED WORKS ON THE CROSS BY FAITH ALONE. You are STILL SAVED FOREVER once you BELIEVE the gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV (BLOOD ATONEMENT) DEATH, BURIAL, RESURRECTION by GRACE ALONE, FAITH ALONE, ON CHRIST ALONE you are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise Ephesians 1:13 KJV, Ephesians 4:30 KJV and you CANNOT lose your salvation. TRUST CHRIST ALONE AND NOT YOURSELF ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED IS THE GOSPEL TRUTH Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV- BY GRACE, THROUGH FAITH,NOT OF WORKS The ONLY requirement TO BE SAVED is Acts 16:30-31 KJV-And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Romans 8:37-39 KJV PROVES that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. As long as we are flesh and blood, we will sin until the day we die. It's a daily constant battle between the flesh nature and Spirit nature. For me , I KNOW that I am saved FOREVER because GOD says I am saved and 1 John 5:13 KJV is my ASSURANCE of my salvation-GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES AND GOD CANNOT LIE. Don't be fooled, do not be deceived. This verse is not talking about a sinless spirit. A born again person is changed but not perfect. And you do have forgiveness in christ. The point of 1 John 3:9 is that christ constrains us, and now our sin is set against he who lives in us. We look at sin different now, though not perfect, but it showes in our lives. Read the next verse 1John 3:10
What I was told for my first 3 years but now I feel over the moon, knowing the truth haha we serve God out of Love. I didn’t even understand what that truly meant when I was a works based Salvationist
Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Great job Onorato!
The translations that add “Walk not after the flesh” as a condition to not being condemned was not in the original Greek. It was added in the 6 th century AD 650 .
My brother you broke this down perfectly. I was struggling to understand some of the things being said in 1 John. Your teachings made it clear. Thanks brother and may God continue to bless you for standing on the truth!
THANK YOU for explaining so well what this passage of scripture really means! I am getting so much clarity and understanding from your videos. Each time I watch them more confusion, doubt and fear goes away.
Beautiful explanation! All glory goes to God for this and for His wise Word “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 KJV
I just wish you would have mentioned that some find themselves sinning after believing and think they are not saved. That is not true as they are still saved but walking in the flesh. This is very important as a new comer might think they are headed to hell until they understand once saved always saved.
What you said is true, Bob. It happens to every single one of us sooner or later, usually sooner. We can’t help it (sin). Our Father knows this, yes I agree with you 100%. OSAS, FACT!… Otherwise who can be saved? Not one of us🙏🏻 Praise be to Abba, our Father. He is awesome🙏🏻❤️
Amen Brother! Appreciate you!! Our Spirit, Christ in us can Not sin, when God looks at us, He sees His Son Jesus To walk in the Spirit is resting in Christ, renewing our minds in the word and looking to Jesus . He manifests in us and it’s all Him doing the work in and through us, He gets all the Glory Highly recommend David Benjamin, Gregg Jackson, Renee Roland, Nolan Wheaton, Eva saved by grace, Be still and know, Nicholas Ghetty Very difficult to find true grace channels like this and the above are also!! They truly feed the sheep through rightfully dividing the word of truth, and bring the sheep in rest and confidence of our salvation through Jesus not these wolves that bring fear , condemnation and back load works and pervert the gospel Praise God Thankyou Jesus
it amazes the hypocrisy of some christians they will agree that "we are justified by faith in Christ" but watch when you tell them that you are no longer bound to the covenant of mt.sinai watch when you tell them that you have passed from judgment to life... that there is no longer any condemnation... for you are not under the law... for where there is no law, there is no transgression, where there is no transgression, there is no condemnation and where there is no condemnation there is peace with God through our Lord and Saviour their response: YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE LAW!!! OR YOU WILL GO TO HELL!!! they resist the Spirit of Grace and count his blood as "common" may the precious blood of Jesus purge away the evil conscience! No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who pardons all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy.
This is amazing man! I've been struggling with this for a while now, asking God to direct me on how to resolve the dual nature within myself. My internal monologue being: "How can I serve God's kingdom on earth as a sinner"? As I always end up sinning in some way or another. That little seed of doubt spawns into this awful self loathing that ultimately would make me turn away from God in self imposed disgrace. So today I just poured it all out in prayer, I got home from work and opened my Bible to 1 John chapter 3, and started reading and my mind being blown, I searched the scripture on YT and found your video looking for an in depth explanation of this, and I gotta say, it perfectly explained everything to me! God is so very good, and kind, and full of wisdom and mercy, and on such a very personal level it's beyond description. Thank you for making this video a year ago or more for me to find it today! And may God bless your work in his will, and your home & family, and the people you love! Amen!
You expounded this truth perfectly! As C. H. Spurgeon put it the sin nature is just as vile as it ever was after receiving the new nature upon being born of God, but the new nature must be nurtured and grow as one increases faith through learning the truths of scripture and walking in the Spirit. There are believers who believe they have been rejected by God because the old nature is still there. Romans seven is rarely taught because some believe people may use it as an excuse to sin. However, God commands teaching the entire Word! Again Spurgeon addresses this by saying more harm is done by not teaching certain scripture than we will ever know unless God reveals it to us. Sorry for the "rant". God bless you for your hard work and faithfulness! "Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.". - Galatians 5:16.
Never let anyone count u as unworthy, because Jesus Christ IS our worthiness.....it's not based on our performance. Amen. It's Grace and it's a free gift
Thanks bro, clear and concise. Understanding the 2 natures is so important for correct doctrine. A lot don’t seem to get this and so try to make the flesh perfect. What point is it to try to make the flesh perfect? “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” 1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV
Amen, thank you brother. We SHOULD live upright and soberly but if you fail *which we all do* acknowledge it and move on, we are not condemned in Christ 🎉 amen 🙏
This honestly came in perfect timing because i willingly gave into lust this morning and felt overeheming shame and hopelessness because it was just beating on me that while i thought i was saved because i trusted that jesus sacrifice paid my sin debt in full, but i felt like i squashed any last hope by feeding into my lustful nature and just felt like i did a complete wipe of all of my progress i was making. Nothing felt more discouraging than what i was feeling by doing so. This helps me by giving me hope that all is not lost and to just fight harder and put more faith in jesus. I still have some ways to go. But i trust in God to help me through it.
This makes perfect sense to me. It’s interesting in this video you were talking about the difference between physical death and spiritual that I was looking online and found the words ‘temperal death’ The phrase not only was in your video but everywhere else I looked after watching. God is calming me with the truth. Thank you for all you do. I’m glad to see more people on RU-vid are standing up for the faith and rightly dividing scripture. I did a video on another channel of mine talking about being under the law versus being under grace. This person commented that Paul followed the law. So and so followed the law, trying to say we are still under law. No we’re not. We are born again and are under grace. Thank you Brother!
Brother... It seems that if a scripture troubles me it's either you, my pastor or someone else that explains (rightly divides the word) so that I can cast my doubts aside. MY FAITH IS IN CHRIST ALONE FOR SALVATION! God willing you won't get me today devil. I have nothing and am nothing without the grace and mercy of God. But I am a new creation in him. Glory be to God.
Thank you for this video brother. I absolutely love the content. While watching the video, the thought came to me, that this is a video, I'll have to rewatch, to fully comprehend and understand. I'd argue that we have to make that choice on a momentary basis.
This young man is the most consistently correct and thorough preacher that I know of anywhere. He sticks to the meat of the gospel so that people know how they are saved which is the true work of the preacher.
I’ve noticed that in the short time I’ve been walking with the Lord my mind has been peaceful and sound but since sin does more easily creep in through the heart or the flesh. Sometimes it’s the wrath of the heart, that anger that can pop up so easily and the mind starts picturing violence, gratifying the heart but the mind will quickly recognize what’s happening and I’ll think “Oh Lord I don’t know you, I’ve become the heart of the murderer so quickly” and will my spirit of anger want to feed more, my mind is a bit more free and I’m able analyze what led up to it. The mind becomes the movie theater for those thoughts, powered by that reaction of the flesh, while the mind is also where we control and regulate. Our change of mind can advance from not only going “Lord that is bad, how did I get lost so quickly?” But we can get a really good look at things, should time allow. Sometimes are reactions to things may be stronger than we’d expect, that maybe past trauma or maybe some fear or something else we haven’t looked at, but because God gives a sound mind we can redirect our mind and our spirit. We can be in the middle of a fight and just pause and listen for the calm, God’s spirit is like sitting besides a babbling brook. Sounds of our flesh can feel like a raging river or worse, but if we stop and listen for the still quiet voice, punches and kicks, can turn into hugs.
Great explanation. Passages like this can be confusing if one does not understand the difference between one’s regenerated, perfected spirit and one’s sinful flesh.
Great, just GREAT! I will def subscribe and watch new content. Growing up Catholic, so many go to "confession" for the wrong reason. Your videos have helped so much and I can now think of "confession" in another way..we go to the Doctor every year for our Annual Physical, that is what Confession really is..going for your yearly Spiritual check up. To repent means to change your mind about something. To believe in what Jesus did for us, which is a total gift, is what the Gospel is all about..the good news! If people got that right in their mind, they would find a lot more inner peace, and then use "confession" as a way to just tell the pastor or a friend how they are doing on their faith journey. A million Thank you's!
Amen brother...perfect explanation...First John is written so BELIEVERS would know if they were in fellowship with Christ or not and to show us that there is part of us...that does not sin because the Holy Spirit is in us and cannot sin...but the old man is not done away with until we receive our new bodies at death or the rapture...First John is one of the books that people that are not believers go... to try and show that we have to do our part to be saved and stay saved...but it is not written for unbelievers on how to be saved...but for believers to show them that we have to strive to be Christ like if we are to be rewarded by God in this life and the one to come....Thanks for the very clear explanation of this book that seems to confuse many people...God Bless you and your ministry...:) Salvation is still... Ephesians 2 8-9 For by GRACE are you SAVED through Faith, and that not of yourselves...IT IS the GIFT OF GOD NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
Very true and accurate.. This is so powerful.. Those who belong to Christ have crucified their sinful nature.. If we still struggle in Sin it's mostly because we are lazy to do even the very basic spiritual needs of our life daily. (Praying in Spirit , Reading and meditating on the Word of God, Worship, Fellowship, Sharing the truth) We cannot do anything until we desire and are eager for it. Word says those who are thirsty let him come and drink.. Not every one.. Let us get right with God.. So that His whisper will be loud and clear to us.. Be willing, passionate, let the seed die completely so that it sprouts🌱 with a new beginning and revelation.. God bless you all..
@OnoDiamante How should I reply to my pastor who states it is unbiblical to say we shouldn't look at our works to determine genuine faith? Here is what he said. You pointed out in your letter, the Apostle John said he wrote so that people would know that they have eternal life. So any question, according to many who adhere to the doctrine of Free Grace, that might cause someone to doubt / question their salvation is problematic. The issue is that the same guy also wrote: “This is how we have to come to know love: He laid down his life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has this world’s goods and sees a fellow believer in need but withholds compassion from him - how does God’s love reside in him? Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth. This is how we will know that we belong to the truth and will reassure our hearts before him whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows all things. Dear friends, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive whatever we ask from him because we keep his commands and do what is pleasing in his sight. Now this is his command: that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, AND love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps his commands REMAINS in him, and he in him. And the way we know that he remains in us is from the Spirit he has given us.” 1 John 3:16-24 Thus, John tells the believers that it is possible for them to know and reassure their hearts by examining their actions, namely, how they love and care for one another. It is important to distinguish here that the Apostle John is writing to believers, those who have already trusted in / believed upon the Lord Jesus. Yet, to these believers, John writes and gives them instructions on how they can know they “belong to the truth.”
✝️ Before we were saved/born anew, we neither had the DESIRE nor the ABILITY to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God (i.e. in holiness & rightness)--However, AFTER we were saved/born anew, we have BOTH the DESIRE & the ABILITY to do so, through the POWER of the Holy Spirit that is dwelling within us--the SAME POWER that raised Christ Jesus/Yeshua from the dead, He will give LIFE to your MORTAL bodies" (cf. Romans 8.11) How does this work? Paul continues, saying, "So then brothers, we are debtors--not to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if BY THE SPIRIT you PUT TO DEATH the deeds of the body, you will live. (Now GET THIS)... For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God" (Romans 8.13-14) So here, the apostle Paul qualifies just WHO the sons of God are, & WHO are NOT sons of God. Namely, if you are walking in the flesh & NOT "putting to death the deeds of the body, by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you," then you are NOT sons of God. Likewise, Paul tells the Galatians, "Now those who belong to Christ Jesus/Yeshua have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" (Galatians 5.24) The apostle John writes, "My little children, these things I write unto you that you may not sin. And if any man sind, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus/Yeshua Christ the righteous; He is the propitiation for our sins--and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world" (1 John 2.1-2) Of course, when we sin (& we all do) we can go to our 'advocate' Jesus/Yeshua, where we can "confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us of our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1.9). Truly, "He is our merciful and faithful high priest," "Who can sympathize with our weaknesses," "one who has been tempted in all things--just as we are, yet without sin." (Hebrews 2.17; 4.15) HalluluYah! Agape❤, Grace & Peace
One problem is that people are stubborn. Most people delight in unrighteousness. Most people are unsaved. God hasn't given them a hunger and thirst for righteousness. What does God want unsaved people to do? He wants them to seek Him. Earnestness and wholeheartedness is what is needed. Searching in the right place is what is needed. The New Testament is the right place to search for God. Say yes to God, the teacher, for He can increase your level of interest in Him.
Amen brother! Great teaching showing the contrast between "he that sinneth (the sin nature, the flesh) VS he that sinneth not (The New Nature, the Righteous Nature). The dual nature of the Believer is surely a foundational doctrine which must be understood if a Christian is going to understand the Bible. Especially the book of 1 John. The New Man is born of God and born of the word of God (The King James Bible). Therefore the New Man does not Sin and Cannot Sin. Just as God and His word (The King James Bible) does not Sin and Cannot Sin. Now of course, every Christian Still sins. In thought, word and deed. And when a Christian does Sin, it is because he yielded to his old, carnal nature. That's all that is. If a Christian was yielded to the Holy Spirit 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, then that Christian would never sin again. But no Christian is yielded to the Holy Spirit 24 hours a day. Every Christian eventually yields to his old Sin nature, and hence, they sin. The sin nature can only do that which is contrary to God's law and word. The sin nature can only produce bad and corrupt fruit. The New Nature (Inner Man) can only do that which is good, Holy and right. Just as God and His word (The King James Bible) can only do that which is good, just, Holy and Right. Keep up the great work brother Norm! You are an encouragement to the body of Christ and your channel and teachings a great help!
the context in john is about confessing our sin if we live a life not confessing our sin we are of the devil if we confess our sin he is faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, this shows we have the spirit because the spirit wont allow us to live a life of unconfessed sin
What has passed away then ? as written in herefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Not making this distinction prevents so many from understanding their sin nature, how that no matter how much they try to perfect the flesh it will never maintain or earn them salvation.
awsome explanation brother, i had been looking for a vid over this the last few days but you explained it the best, can you make a vid on how to walk in the spirit or explaine what walking in the spirit means , thats one thing that confuses me, but everyday is a battle thats for sure, but praise be to God i know im going to heaven , all thanks and praise to our lord and Savior Jesus Christ Amen !
U dont walk in the Spirit, He walks in u! “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:1-6 KJV the fruits or the walk come from Jesus, He does them. Without Jesus u dont do nothing good! the good in u that comes from the within is the God in u so listen to God and do what He says for it is your choice to do and to approve of doing, but it is His doing and His action, u only nodd your head and approve. lets reverse the rolls, if the flesh needs to pee, u say in yourself deep down “ok i will pee”, yet its the body that pees and not the inward man. So is Jesus doing the fruits and the walk and u approve of it, but for when u do not, there will be chastisement as it is said, “the Father PURGETH the branch that BEARETH FRUIT”. Either way u put it, everything comes from God, and u can say in this case that even your free will, but i would not cuz it may lead to doubts and these doubts into calvinism, you get the point tho, its God that does and u that believe the Gospel.. definitely pray about this for a vaster explanation may Father bless u bro ❤❤
Theres Gods own salvation Gods own Grace Gods own work Gods own commandments and Gods own fruits Gods own Keeping the Law and Gods own producing and acting the fruits! If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” John 15:1-6 KJV all glory and merit goes to God!!!
The only thing this guy did not discuss in this video (maybe others he does). Is what does it mean to walk in the Spirit, because most Christians say they received the Spirit yet still sin. If the seed of God is in you... it comes down to who you listen to. Do you hear the Lord and obey him. Or not. No man can be set free of sin by trying really hard. We must be set free in truth, and the Lord is the truth. If you do not hear him and obey him you will not be set free.
What about 1 John 1 verses 5-10? “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” How do you reconcile this with the free grace belief?
was wondering the same thing. We are called to practice truth through the grace we received through faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. Grace will empower us to see evidence of change and a new birth.
This again is the teachings of Discipleship... This is the process of Sanctification (becoming more like Christ) also eludes to abiding in the vine and producing good fruit. The fruit is for the lost that sees our new Christian life and walk so they can come to the Truth; the fruit is not for us and our assurance of salvation. Believing on him and Abiding in Him are too different Doctrines.
Amen on this one brother. and I am curious. Do you plan to do a video on your view of a pre vs post trib return of Christ? I saw your community post got a whole lot of attention. I am post trib myself after reading the scriptures without any preconceived ideas and just let the text fall where they would. Keep on sharing the gospel and good teachings brother as it does encourage others to do likewise. God bless you and yours.
There's a book called maximum joy by David Anderson that explains 1 John really well. This take on 1 john is not popular at all. I've tried many times to explain the believers duel nature and most full on make me feel like a heretic. But this take on 1st John is the correct take. How in the world would we be able to look at ourselves honestly, and not lose all hope if we thought 1st John was a test for salvation rather than a test of fellowship.
Great videos mate, may God bless you! Please help me work out this: Isn't Galatians 5:16-17 talking about the Holy Spirit? It also has a capital S. How would that work with 1 John 3:6-9 though? I think that this is still true based on Romans 7, but idk how Galatians can be used? Help me work this out!
Onorato what about the verse I John 5:18 which states the same as I John 3:9 but adds, "but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself". Is this a reference to Christ or to us regarding sinning not?
1John 5:18-21 'God’s sons do not sin' 1John 5:18. John refers back to “that ye may know” in 1John 5:13, and sums up three points from former portions of the Epistle, describing the true consciousness of the Christian. Each begins with “We know.” Sinneth not.-There is no reason to supply “unto death.” 1John 3:9.) John means strongly to insist, in the close of his Letter, that the true ideal Christian walk or fulfilling of Gods will include the absence of wilful sin. Stumbles; yes there may be, even maybe needing the prayers of friends, but intentional lawlessness there shouldn't be. 'But he that is begotten of God keepeth himself'. Rather, (he that is begotten of God keepeth him)this is, the Son of God preserves him. John 6:39; John 10:28; John 17:12; John 17:15.) 'And that wicked one toucheth him not'. The last mention of the devil was in 1John 3:10. The devil and his angels attack, but cannot influence so long as the Christian abides in Christ. 1Peter 5:8; Ephesians 6:11; Revelation 3:10. Personal assurance that we are God’s sons 1John 5:19. Next after the cardinal point that righteousness is the characteristic of the new birth comes the necessity that the Christian should make up his or her mind that he or she has been, or is being, born again, and is really different from the world. The proof will be seen in 1John 1:6; 1John 2:3; 1John 2:5; 1John 2:29; 1John 3:9; 1John 3:14; 1John 3:19; 1John 3:24; 1John 4:7; 1John 4:13; 1John 4:15; 1John 5:1; 1John 5:10.😮
there are believers who stated Job was blameless and did not sin...some even argue that perfect sinlessness is possible because Job fits that catagory...so there is no excuse...
You must first go to the beginning of Jobs story. Satan said he would curse God if he allowed him to do such things as he did to Job. But Job never did. The distinction of what you are referring to was Job sinned not with his lips to curse God or blame God or anyone for what happened but continued to trust God. It did not mean he was sinless. Rightly dividing the truth is important...
Onorato, mankind is Spirit, Soul and body, only the spirit is born again, the soul, (Mind will and emotions) need to be renewed. Rom 12: 2. The body is waiting redemption, Rom 8: 23. So the body and soul will sin, but because our spirit is born of God, we arexa new creation, created in righteousness and true holiness, a partaker of God's Divine nature, so WE, (The spirit man) the real us, cannot sin.
Jesus died and rose agian if you believe that he died and rose and accept him as your Lord you will go to Heaven. BUT DONT USE GOD'S GRACE AS A LICENCE TO SIN!
The first time I watched this, I didn't get it. It makes a lot more sense now. He is telling us that His Spirit in us cannot sin. Our flesh can. While we are in these bodies, we war between the two natures. It even seems to go so far as to say "do not be deceived, your flesh cannot stop sinning". AKA you need to be born again.
For example, if I say "John does righteousness". Am I describing his character by what he practices? This is why the verse properly translates to practicing, because it is a present tense verb. Syntactically in means to practice
