Why 50 Cent Wants To Erase G Unit From His Hip-Hop History

Banks never really cared for the spotlight tho. But he had the potential to be a star. But at least he’s still active...

50 always says his respect for Eminem comes from em helping him when he couldn’t help himself. 50 got the leg up then did the rest himself. That’s what 50 expected from the gunit members but he doesn’t feel they helped themselves and he wasn’t going to carry them the whole time. That’s why he’s done with them.

As much as I enjoyed G-UNIT we never got to see G-UNIT's full potential.

I’m from Serbia and rap was a new thing here during the 2000’s but 50 was the man as soon as he appeared. You had local clothing stores making 50 cent branded clothing, it was crazy when I think back. Dude has this menacing aura, like he has the power to singlehandedly make or break people in the industry.

I grew up in the early 2000’s listening to them. Regardless of what people think nowadays they had A LOT of bangers back to back to back

Them G unit days was lit. Each member just had their own vision nothing wrong with it

I believe after 50 got shot up that changed him as a person. He was the next upcoming hot rapper everyone was talking about was gonna blow, he was on Colombia he was with trackmasters everyone was in his corner and his best friend life was great!! Then when he got shot it all disappeared nobody wanted to deal with him anymore and he couldn't even get anyone on the phone all that industry shit was gone. He had to rehabilitate from the shooting then use all his money to get back on his music grind and climbed his way all the way back up to being that next hot rapper. I think that experience made him cold hearted the dude doesn't get along with ANYONE he cant even love his OWN SON and almost every artist hes ever worked with hes flipped on. 50 is very intelligent and driven but hes emotionally broken he needs some real therapy but hood dudes dont do therapy so it's a wrap.

G-Unit failed for a lot of reasons, the beginning was great. They had a two hit records and they made their own fan base real quick, but imo it all fell apart due to constant beefing and infighting. 50 should have just let Game go if he didn’t want to be there or make him fulfill his Contact and then cut him loose, but it became a huge issue with G-unit putting out songs to beef with The Game and other rappers instead of actually making Hit records and Touring. Another thing was that 50 had beef or started beef with every new NY Rapper, so when the rest of G-unit tried to get features for their songs everyone turned them down. It was a catch 22 imo the rest of G unit can fight 50’s battles and beefs or go in the booth and make actual hit songs, both choices have their consequence.

50 is a ferociously ambitious individual who thrives off competition and negativity. The other members of G-Unit didn't necessarily share those traits or his vision, so there was bound to be problems.

50 cent does not know when to stop and always takes things too far, when he has an enemy he will stop at nothing to crush them. See how he can’t get past the issues with his son.

I love that Eminem looked out for D12, even having Bizarre do an intro on Music to be Murdered by. I've read 50 cents last book , he doesn't seem to have any close friends that he's known for any real amount of time. Em mentions on several songs that he grew up with D12. Rip Proof. I also hope one day 50 can make peace with himself , I felt his book was very angry at everyone . Angry at his Son , his ex , etc, angry at G Unit. Not a good way to live

He experienced a traumatic event in his life that changed how he views relationships. Of course he’d want to forget a crew that he sees as a another failed attempt at having a real family of his own. We were told on all the mixtapes and albums that Tony Yayo was gonna blow up as soon as he was released. Then he came out, went to #2 off the work they put in for him, then after that he just disappeared and nobody even thinks of him as part of the main 3 lol.

50 does have a pretty bad record when it comes to relationships with friends. Literally the only person that 50 cent has had a consistently good relationship with is Eminem probably.

It’s weird to remember how seriously people took 50 cent. Like ever since the blood on the sand game I’ve kinda just seen him as a meme, someone who’s for sure talented but someone who represented taking street machismo and pridefulness the point of parody. It’s weird to remember just how dominant 50 cent was for a time. Before Kenya came out with a more vulnerable and at times light hearted image that tough guy image was what a lot of people wanted.

You cannot deny that 50 has a psychopathic attitude, but the 1 thing i cant understand is: Yayo, banks, buck and game knew from day 1, who 50 cent is and how he gets down. They made a deal with the devil and then act all suprised, when 50 did the same shit with them, like he did to all the other people/rappers around them. And they sided with 50 everytime, until it was their turn. 50 is who he is, he hasnt changed but the g unit crew are hypocrites.

The music scene is constantly changing, old sounds get recycled into a newer vibe and old gimmicks do too. If you don't change withe times sadly you get left behind. Some people just got that unstoppable drive that many wish they had. The 90's will forever be credited for many good artists and songs.
