The thing I don’t understand is that people are referencing AI as if we are living in some dang movie. No shit there will be downsides but I personally think there may be more goods than bad

I mean really think, how can AI gain consciousness when WE, who is feeding the AI knowledge to begin with, have no idea how consciousness even works

The main issue I see with AI is the take over of jobs, but this is where I feel like new jobs could just come in. Like being a cashier wasn’t a job in the BC’s, that’s just the process of human development.

Well now that I think about it, AI could really get people addicted. Like the AI sex robots could get people hooked and as a result less reproduction. I think that’s the biggest problem, maybe some restrictions could be programmed cause whether we like it or not with the rise of AI, the creation of a sex robot is inevitable

If instead of an artist or translator you use AI, then you take away someone's job. But if you pay for access to AI instead of human labor, you contribute to increasing inequality. You pay a large corporation that already has a lot of money and take earnings from those who have little money. This is a clear money movement from the middle class to the wealthy. We are putting all the economic capital of the middle class into the hands of those who don't care about us. I think genocide is coming.

I mean, people are still doing the whole ai presidents play thing and making memes of people saying weird stuff, but that’s about it as I know for ai atm. I feel like once people had their fun with it and tested it a little, they dropped it because most if it was boring, required very little effort to create what you wanted, and you were dunked on if you used ai to make art or whatever else, so it wasn’t even worth it.

I want to work in the morgue as a coroner or mortician. So far I think I’ll be ok, no one wants to work in this field and it’s hard to get in because of mental instability this job causes. We would have to make a machine that would scan everything in the human body down to every atom in the body and so far that is near impossible. We have machines for certain things but it’s all it still requires a person with years of experience to work the machine. People die every day and I’ll always have a job because of that. Or until ai takes it away.
