Deboer is gonna be working with 4 years of sabans recruits. Sabans assistants the past 3 years have been horrible hires. Deboer hired a good staff. Bama won't fall off. You will know more in 3 years when deboer coaches with his own recruited players
Maybe I am bias as a bama fan but I fully expect them to continue and make a deep run in the playoff. Saban is out but Deboer knows how to win as well.
Gotta remember saban isn’t completely out. Also might have some hiccups this year with the transition but I expect nothing but a championship. Then again like you I am bias but anyone with eyes and a brain can tell kalen deboer is a winner everywhere he goes and with sabans recruits plus his transfers they are gonna be dangerous. Not to mention the coming years when he starts recruiting himself if he hasn’t already.
A Tide fan since 1963 and my thoughts are if Bama coaches can coach as good as the talent we have we may not lose a game. We have to play the games to see. JMHO! RTR!
Little Bias as 28 year fan of the tide, think with the talent as long as they buy in and Deboer does a good job we will have a good season. Think Georgia will be a tuff game and could go either way. Think they beat UT, Missouri, and LSU not by a ton and could lose one. Think they go 10-2 or possibly 11-1 but wouldn’t be surprised if they go undefeated as Milroe greatly improved, Georgia being early in the year hurts as it does seem like any freshman that get to play take a few games to get up to college speed especially on defense. Excited to see the season Deboer did great things at Washington and if that translates to the sec with the talent we have then the sky is the limit.
I'm ALSO NOT a Bama fan but not a hater. Trust me, Deboer is a phenomenal coach, he plays an exciting style of football which the players will love and only make them recharge their commitment to the game. It's simple, they WILL GO UNDEFEATED AND WILL BE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. I am from Seattle and I wouldn't call myself bias rather appreciate Deboer's game. I started to follow him in Fresno and all he does is win
I'm a life long Bama fan. I remember the Bear passing away and how it felt losing on a regular basis. After Saban came to Alabama I found myself expecting to not just see Bama win but destroy who they played. I'm smart enough to know we will have growing pains before the team and coaches settle in.
i'm 100% biased as a bama fan but that doesn't necessarily make my prediction wrong. bama undefeated, milroe heisman winner, deboer coach of the year and bama wins the natty. rinse and repeat for the next decade. bama is so loaded with talent. deboer was the coach i wanted if saban retired and it happened. zero drop off from saban. oh and saban still has an office in the stadium. in the future this transition from saban to deboer will be studied and mimiced. saban is such a detailed oriented guy as the first coach to really maximze his staff with the addition of all the analyst, advisors, GA's etc... that's only going to help deboer with all those guys still in place doing the grunt work so the coaches can stay on top of the more important tasks. add to this having saban as an advisor to deboer on all things sec from the best to ever do it. i'm on a lot of various college football related boards and there's an unrealistic amount of predictions by other fan bases that bama will suddenly suck and lose 4 games. there's just too many things on deboers side to just drop off the way others seem to think they will. the main reason i've heard for bama's decline is the new coach and all that comes with change at a program but bama isn't like other programs (this isn't my bias creeping in so much as an objective observation) it breaks down like this. with the way saban has set up the program with all the support staff to help the coaches, saban staying on as an advisor, deboer's track record of winning everywhere he's been with much less talent than alabama has. he's like 104-12 as a head coach. that's a ridiculous stat and on pace with the addition of some championshis to his resume to crus saban's record. never has a program been more prepared to transistion from one coach to another and never has the best coach in the history of the game been replaced by a coach with deboers resume. the flip side of this is bama being predicted to drop off because of the unknowns but that goes the other way too. all these teams familiar with playing bama also have unknowns on their side. it's literally a perfect storm and i'm here for rolleth tideth
The other fan bases at least some of them know bama has always been relevant in football before saban and they know we will be more than that afterwards with kalen deboer. They are just hating as always cause bama is the standard at least in recent times.
I'm a Bama fan too and while I agree with some of your points. There is incredible bias seeping through you comment. Bama undefeated, milroe heisman winner, deboer coach of the year. That's definitely bias oozing through. I totally expect Bama to make the playoffs. Probably with 1 or 2 losses. I think undefeated seasons might actually get more rare with the new conference allignments. Especially with the way the SEC is set up currently. But even the big 10. It was one thing for Ohio State to have to play Michigan every year if they were good or maybe a Penn St. But now you could possibly also have to play Oregon and USC on top of that. I do think the Tide will continue to be in the mix in the playoffs year in and year out from here on out though. Especially with a 12 team playoff. They already will get the nod most years in a 4 team playoff with a blemish on their resume. Who are you picking as an 11th or 12th team in 10-2 Bama or 10-2 TCU? It's Bama, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia and all the other blue bloods every time.
@___m7425 No, they don't. They have equal talent. Last you Georgia fans thought the same thing last year. And Alabama beat Georgia, again, in Atlanta. Besides that, Georgia hasn't played a single down of football this season for you to know that. Milroe outplayed Beck last year.
@@oscarevans3966 all false...beck had more passing yards, tds, higher cmp% than milore last year, just cause bama beat uga in the sec title does not mean he is a better qb and pertaining to the title I feel like nick saban was the biggest reason bama has owned us..now that he's gone the coaching advantage goes to kirby,I don't see bama falling off to much but they will not be beating uga
Not a Bama fan but i do think they will have a great year. Coach Deboer is a great recruiter and because of this i feel like Bama will keep rolling along. All the way to the playoff
One nit pick on the video. Looks like Wilken Formby appears to be in the driver seat at right tackle as per the scuttlebutt at practice, but I thought you did a great job not being a Bama fan. As for your Bama vs GA game, I think this could go either way. If you look at UW vs Oregon last year you will see how DeBoer offense does vs. Saban defense. It is honestly a fascinating matchup. If it wasn't year 1, I would give DeBoer the edge but very hard to get everything right your first year. The Film Guy Network's youtube channel does a great job of explaining why it is so difficult to pressure the QB vs a DeBoer offense. Most of the press comments this year after having seen the team in person were about how physically imposing they look compared to former teams. One analyst said he hadn't seen a Bama team this scary since 2011. I thought that was an interesting comment since Bama has had so many good teams since then.
As a Bama fan, I think you are on the right track for sure although I see it more likely that we lose to Georgia but bounce back very strong, winning until we get to LSU. I have seen a lot of people think that LSU will not be that good this year but I think they are going to surprise people with some "upsets". Two tough games at Tennessee then home with Missouri - they will be close, competitive games but Alabama gets the win. I find it much more likely that coming off those two games we are a bit banged up and stumble in Death Valley, losing a game that many people will expect us to win going in. Also, Auburn is a mystery every year so who knows how that will go but I think we finish strong against them and Oklahoma and sit at 10-2. I am still not exactly sure how the playoffs work in terms of who gets in depending on certain circumstances, but I can see Alabama sneaking into the playoffs as a 3rd SEC team behind Georgia and Texas (Georgia beating Texas in the SEC Championship most likely) Alternatively, I think Alabama has a really good chance at beating Georgia early and taking over the SEC alongside Texas and both Alabama and Texas then playing each other undefeated in the SEC Championship game, but that is definitely biased and what I hope will happen lol
I'm a BAMA fan and I feel like our team and coaches are going to prove a lot of these haters and Nah Sayers wrong I think their GOING to shock everyone like they did last season I have faith in our guys their going to L.A.N.K ROLL TIDE 🐘💪🌊💯💥
with bama having a bye before georgia, I think they go into that game healthy and strong, win by 2 points in OT. A real close game down to the last minute
I think the Georgia game will go one of two ways. It will either be coach Deboer's "welcome to the SEC" moment in defeat. Or it will be coach Deboers "New Sheriff in town" moment in victory.
Nice vid Scott. I remember watching ur vids in 2020 when u covered michael penix and predicted he would be a star - and u were right. Hope the rest of the vids go well. U should def make a video about Agiye Hall and what happened to him, also what happened to Jacob Copeland, Kadarius Toney, etc. Wish u the best of luck!
They’re only one team that has a chance to beat Alabama in the regular season and it’s Georgia but we’re beat them again breaking their hearts again like last year
That's not much of a hot take. Their new coach just went to the national championship and they still have Bama-level recruits. It's highly likely Bama “goes crazy”. This ones a reach brother. Still love the content! MIZ
Alabama is a real mystery because Kalen DeBoer obviously. Being a Washington fan I want to be pissed at him for leaving and I hate Bama, but he’s a really good guy so I guess I’m a Bama fan now. DeBoer does an incredible job with his QBs wherever he goes (remember Jake Haener at Fresno State and Michael Penix) I think he will get the best out of Milroe. He likes to have his running backs catching the ball out of the backfield so look for a bruising RB with good hands to play a lot. I think the key is will DeBoer miss his former OC the great Ryan Grubb (now OC at the Seahawks). He’s been with DeBoer forever so may be some growing pains there. I pretty much agree with your assessment. Probably 2 losses. He picks up a better defense than he had at Washington so that helps. What he will miss, like you said, is standout receivers. Germie Bernard was pretty good at Washington but was stuck behind the best receiving trio in college football in a while. I’ll be interested to see how he does and Josh Cuevas was a back up TE who did ok and made some good plays at UW.
This guy has won everywhere he has been with good players. He has a sideline of great players at different levels. I think Bama puts up insane numbers and Kiffin will lose his spot as the offensive guru. The real test will be in the draft. You will be able to determine Bamas longevity with this guy by the draft. All these kids want to play for the guy who can get them into the NFL.
Uk,I hate the way ppl dogged BAMA and the naysayers caused us to come out with the LANK Shirts and Jerseys, and we went the distance and won the SEC NATTY AND beat Georgia AGAIN AS WE DID LAST TIME THEY GOT BEAT,WE DID IT! so you'd think we shut em up but nope. They never quit hating! ROLL TIDE YALL
I think Milroe gets fully let loose this year, and it turns the B+ offense into A or A+. With the O-line better, Milroe/Haynes/Miller rushing trio could win games on its own. I see it being like the ravens offense last year. You have to defend the handoff, but the QB can take off as well. RRPO.
You said they'd go 2 and 3 in the midseason trio of games. You meant 2 OF 3. 2 and 3 means they have 2 wins and 3 losses, which clearly can't happen in a 3-game span.
I still think Milroe is a running back that can throw it a mile. No short or intermediate passing game but he sure can pull it down and run or loft it 50 yards down field. Ty is the more pure pocket QB AND he has the wheels. I just like the way Ty can get through his progressions before taking off.
Did you ever watch a Bama game after Jaylen found his Rhythm he was like that and that why we lost to Texas while his highlights are full of long passes cause that’s is flashy but he figured out his short and mid game
I'm not mad that you picked Tennessee to win...just confused how just a few seconds before you said something along the lines of you don't see anything like 2022 happening. Instantly contradicting yourself there
Not looking good. The only way that was going to happen is if DeBoer couldn’t recruit (would then take a few years to fully fall off), BUT he’s now proven he’s an elite recruiter as well. Talent + great coaches + great program and support structure = elite program.
As a Bama fan, i find your comments actually non biased. No Bama fan will EVER agree that a loss to the vols is on the table, but your assessment is well thought out. 3 losses are possible, lsu, uga, and the let down/unprepared, suprise game. Thanks for your content... RTR!
Only loss I see bama having is either against LSU or Oklahoma, both give bama hard games at home , Tennessee had one good team and Bama still almost beat them , I’m not worried about Tennessee, Alabama will win that game by 1 or 2 touchdowns
I heard Jawja was the Pinnacle of College Football but their trophy case looks like Poly Tech Institute to our East. What a World we living in, lol. 8 losses out of the last 9, 26 wins all time vs 43. Yep, we top tier. In our own minds. 😂😂😂😂 What a claim to fame!
But please Jawjun Scientist of Rockets, make it sound logical to the rest of us. Your fanbase is next level. You’re the Kamala Harris of Football fans.
If Bama never won another SEC Title, it would take you idiots 50 years to catch up. Natty’s, lol. Maybe when your Great grand cousins are living. Quit comparing Jawja to Bama. You will never be Bama no matter how hard you stroke it.
a few notes. beat the #1 team and a close loss to a CFP participanmt does not mean "Sneak in" I think Bama's offense will be good. THe secondary is a question mark so not sure how good the D will be. I think Bama will vie for the SEC title and playoffs spot. I also agree UGA has a better roster by a tiny bit. I can see your pick vs Tennessee but I think Bama's only regular season loss is UGA . LSU is not going to be elite this year. I cant say your picks are wrong they are plausible.
I am an Alabama fan. I predict there will be no fall off. Bama will be as good as Saban's last season. He has grace, saw that, and all things considered stopped the heavy lifting. Let's see if Milroe can be elite, in spite of fake sports newsspeak licking his boots. Texas and Michigan revealed not elite. Now? Will DeBoer replace him if same ol'? Or will team pout like USF last year?
With the way Coach DeBoer has recruited Bama will stay at the top. The coaches are better than what Saban had the last few years. This year Bama makes the playoffs at 10-2. They will start to gel at the 2nd half of the season. RTR
DeBoar is a winner! PERIOD! A lot of people don't know, he won 3 National Championships in the NAIA level. YES i know thats not the SEC but football is football. He has won right away EVERYWHERE he has been. He played for National Championships with a bunch of 2&3☆ kids. He beat Oregon TWICE! And he beat Texas with a way lesser roster, and thats not debatable. He has not let his ego get in the way of the transition from Saban to him. I just think this is the guy to replace the goat. I think we may lose 2 games this year, but they will be a dog fight. Our secondary is showing that its going to be a lot better than what most thought. I still think Georgia is the best team in the country and I think they win it all. Ohio State 2. Oregon, Texas, and Ol Piss, in pretty much whatever order. Then Bama. But don't be surprised to see Bama win a game or two that they probably will be underdogs in. Most exciting season EVER!!!!
Ok NOW BUDDY YOU LESSON HERE IM A HUGE BAMA FaN ROLL TIDE WE ARE NOT LOSING TO TENNESSEE WE ARE GOING 13 AND 0 OR 12 AND 1 SO DO THAT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not gonna hate on you or try and mutilate you for your predictions. It's if you get all of these right! That's when this Bama fan will pull a "Seek and Destroy"
