This is literally the intro for the new season of Money Pit. Every car can be its own episode/s. Its a win-win.. we get videos, you get good content and your cars running again!

This channel is unique in that it truly highlights how things will go wrong with cars, the work and guys here are way more relatable because of it. Wish I had these guys when I was doing everything to my first car... Frustration lol

I think Zach's s14 would be a good first fix, lots to cover and a great car to have fun with when finished EDIT: dang this blew up, Donut better be looking at how much support our boy Zach is getting. Let's see that S14!

Even the “boring” mods we’d still like to see. Episodes being longer aren’t a bad thing at all because we enjoy watching you guys together and the cars.

I always wanted to get into car mechanics but was daunted by all the information. You guys have always done an amazing job explaining everything in a fun and easy to understand way and can't wait to see future content. Makes me want to get started and put in work on my car!

I'd love to see a DONUT REHAB series where you fix up all the cars around the shop and then do some big top-gear like challenge among all the hosts. Maybe assign cars to teams like so and so gets low z so and so gets Zach's Silvia and make them compete to make the most drivable, livable cars. Not a top gear challenge for who's got the fastest car but rather for who's got a good daily

Seeing Miata and S14 made me nostalgic.. Money pit was a great show

One of the best parts of this channel is that you show, things go wrong. problems come up, even with kits made to fit. I remember watching Nolan when they were having so many issues getting the Nissan going and he lost it. He was human, he was us, the audience. Being relatable makes you a better channel than shows that just gloss over the issues and problems. We love cars, but things we love will cause problems, its the passion to make it better that we all share.

Intercoolers and baffles aren't boring. Don't dumb down your content - we want detail!

I remember you having a positive opinion on the digital dash in the "is it worth it" video that featured it. It would be cool if y'all did a "long term update" on some of the mods y'all have done to see if any others have proven not so great, or better than expected over the years.

I like the idea of a series about fixing all of the old cars. Someone mentioned doing it in chronological order, which would be cool and easy to map out

Doing a fixing series where you purely work on fixing them would be a great series as many others suggest.

I love watching these types of Donut videos. I always have to fix things on my cars, and I also tend to beat on them.

Some of my favorite donut videos are the ones where you guys are upgrading or fixing your cars, so I'd watch any video where you're working on any of these. Especially when you go into detail on how its done and what its doing for the car.

The next highlow should be making the Tacos into some small trophy trucks. Give them some more power and do some brake mods, even more suspension mods, and some chassis reinforcements. Sort of how you took the original HiLow Zs and made them even better the second time around.

I had the same problem with my MSM with the Megasquirt. Take a look into the acceleration enrichment settings. Helped me smooth things out a ton, no more bucking.

More Money Pit please. I learned a lot from the miata season, there was a number of great practical lessons.

i learned a lot of stuff about the boring parts from people who didnt wanna waste the time removing them from videos. you have the platform to teach so many without trying.

When projects stack up, you're always best off to start with the one that matters to you the most. Once she's fixed, it's like finishing a good book and it's onto the next.

I've been waiting for a follow-up on the Silvia for what feels like forever. PLEASE, can we get more content on that car. I want to see this thing become the JDM drift monster we've been waiting for

I think the s14 would be a good money pit project, especially for people who want to get into the RB family engines. And even some personal cars of the team, i think seeing you guys speak with joy about the cars that you're connected to is the best type of content

You guys should try to do an episode or a series where you guys start out with some cheap hot boi cars and mod them to your preference with a budget. Then track them against each other as you mod them or something I don't know I didn't really think it through. It would kind of be like Hi-Lo but instead of picking top tier and low tier upgrades, you would be able to modify whatever you want within the budget for that episode or maybe you could put a restriction on what upgrades would have to be getting upgraded per episode like power or handling. IDK just spitballing. Love your show and love your podcast.

i just like seeing you guys fix anything because it makes me feel better about some of my "fixes". i've been building a factory five mkiv and there have been quite a few questionable decisions... lol

Zach's S14 is my favourite car of the channel for some reason. Not much spotlight for it but it looks so damn clean!! Make a video series of restoring it back!!

For the Miata; put stock cluster back in and run a windows tab in the dash. For the stuttering you could look into the accel enrichment or the tps calibration. Both of those are the first thing I look at when that stuttering problem comes up.

I think it's important for people to see this, and not get the wrong impression of what modified cars are like to live with. Especially with the "low" cars some people might get the idea that they can make some serious performance gains for cheap but it's never that simple and quite often, even with expensive high quality mods as we see with the "high" cars, these cars spend more time being worked on than being driven. Taking a 300hp sports car, giving it 500hp and keeping up with supercars down the straights is relatively easy. Making that car start every time you turn the key, making everything that's not the engine still work as it did before, and having it run smoothly so you can drive it home after the race is easier said than done and quite often these modified cars are never completely sorted out and just end up as track cars because the owner has just had enough and bought something else (stock) to daily drive.

Love the update video. I think it'd be interesting to see an update on the cars of the hosts as well

The Miata issue is likely due to vibration loosening the connection Using a heatshrink wrap or coating the bitch (connection) silicone/epoxy (you want to be VERY sure it’s well seated in the connection if you’re gonna epoxy it though) should work pretty well for that I’d go for heatshrink because you can always take it off easily without mess tbh The inelastic nature of the coating epoxies have a very high resistance to deformation( i.e. high young’s modulus) but they don’t have much capacity for elastic deformation before they plastically deform (i.e. change of shape that doesn’t revert upon removal of forces); so over time it’d potentially fail and need to be replaced depending how hot it gets and how bad the vibration is plus some get decently hot as they cure and you don’t want to fuck the coating of the wires or you might get a grainy picture or signal issues from the magnetic fields of the wires in proximity to each other That elastic nature helps hold the connection in too when the materials heat cycle during and after use (and expand/contract) Not knowing how fast you’re going easily would make it hell for not getting pinged be speed cameras

I have a 03 Mustang GT I daily drive. Last week the clutch cable shredded so I spent 2 hours replacing that. Yesterday I replaced both front lower ball joints. Next week I’m replacing the rear passenger axle shaft with a TEN performance axle shaft. I have a 1990 Wrangler outback that needs the head pulled and gasket replaced. We are all in the same boat. It’s love/hate. But the reward when it’s all going well even if it’s a short time is overwhelmingly satisfying. ✌🏻

A fix series would be awesome explaining what went wrong and what you’d have changed sounds like such a cool video idea

Super awesome video guys! Honestly love to see money pit episodes of you fixing them! With that said, there is one thing this video affirms for me when it comes to donut. If there's one thing I don't like about donut its, No love for the American cars. Not saying you guys don't like American cars or that I don't like JDM or Euro cars. Loving seeing all the imports on the channel. Just think it would be cool to see an American project car on Donut!

Low Z's shifter boot: Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva Rum. Comes in pretty a leather bag. That bag? Makes an EXCELLENT shifter boot. Cut a hole in the base for the knob. Slide it over and cinch in down with the drawstring to the boot base flange. If you're feeling fancy, you can use a leather string and cinch the boot to the shifter itself, too. Funkiest dang shifter boot y'all ever saw.

Miata: Tip-in / transient throttle can be tough to nail down. check the wideband logs and overlay tps with O2 observed and O2 target. I bet you'll see it going lean. If the MS has channels for proportional and integral output for closed loop O2 control, lay those over the lean area in the log. Probably needs more I but, it's good to confirm with data channels if you have them.

I feel your pain, i got a 2006 Dodge Dakota, 3.7l V6 4 speed Automatic RWD Extended Cab. It has almost 300k on the odometer It needs a complete new suspension, it burns oil so needs a engine rebuild or a new one, it has no reverse so it needs a new transmission, because of the oil situation it need new exhaust, also needs like new sensors and such, it probably needs a new rear axle. Basically needs everything from the engine back. But she runs everyday and has never left me stuck, so even with all her flaws i love her

In future hi low seasons I'd love to see more of those things you guys "cut out" I like the extended cuts of the older season sometimes because I love seeing you guys work through some of those issues, that's why I watch the show. Like yeah it's cool to see the outcome of the cars but I also really enjoy the process aswell, and I wish we got to see a bit more of that

Currently restoring a 94 OBS F150 single cab short box. I’ve done an instrument cluster, thermostat, VSS sensor, throttle position sensor, and flushed the entire cooling system. This weekend she’s getting a water pump and fan clutch, as well as a serpentine belt

With you guys talking about possibly wanting to make some changes to some of the cars like the Tacos makes me think that you should do a HiLow Revisited where you go about fixing/adjusting/replacing and redoing the final challenges. Do a comparison between the updates and the original.

I wanna see low-z neatened up and all the loose ends taken care of! It's my favorite build series car on donut! Such a cool car, and the kind of car most of us would build. Fun per dollar, hard to beat! And I think the nose is cool, it's got that hot rod vibe, but you could fix it if you wanted to.

10:21 its easy fix you need to take the door panel of then take the window off of the window actuator then take that black ish glue thing off of the place where the windows get put on to the door then put on the black ish glue back on then put the window back in and the door panel and done

I found on ms2 to do a 2nd ve table that is throttle based and some acceration enrichment tricks and most the time I can fix the tip in fueling cruising.

Awesome episode! It feels so much more relatable when we see both the successes and the failures. We're not all a professional car shop, some of us just love cars!
