I think you’re talking about Mufti Menk’s quote which he says in a video of his. Let me Correct it for you because some people might use this quote as a justification for doing their sins by saying “I have hope in the mercy of Allah” after repeatedly committing a sin and having no plan to leave it. Here’s the corrected quote: “Jannah is filled with sinners who had repented.” Here the emphasis is on repentance which means even after falling into a sin again and again they finally took a stance and quit the sin and repented to Allah, which means they never returned to the sin again.😊
Brother please these sentences are double edge swords so they have to be explained. Allah says "Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.". You have to be a good believer to get Allah's mercy and of course you have to have faith in his mercy. Don't avoid salah and quran whilst doing all kinds of sins and say "I believe in Allah's mercy", which is good but you have to be worried that it might not be enough.

I need serious advice, i have done some research and found out i can say a sin im doing in order to get help to quit it so may Allah help us all. Basically i have been addicted to a sin for the past 3 years, last Augist/September (2023) i feared for thr day of judgement and the punishment of Allah SWT. I have taken several actions to stop it but all that happened was i would stop it for 2 days and do it twice or even thrice in a single day, my mental health is deteriorating and i need help and i did some digging into this but i didnt find what i wouldve preferred. To quit an addiction allegedly its not easiest to do it in one go, it will be repeated and the goal is to redice the times relapsed, keep a count per week and basicallt slow down. Now me personally dont wanna die while sinning or in the state of janabah but if i dont take this "push" now then it will be too late. Im just experimenting myself at this point and i want anyone reading this to please make dua for me.
Also God is giving them time again and again so that they repent before their deaths so that when they ask to return and repent but God has given them million chances but they didn't
This title isn't well representing the ayat that's been talked about. That's about disbelievers making fun of the believers, and doing kufr and Allah's punishment is to allow them to go to stray. Allah is the most merciful and no one immune to sin, but the best one is the one who repent. The more and more you sin, then you gotta more and more repent.

Allah doesn’t always guarantees you worldly victories or He doesn’t always grants your worldly wishes. He never said that when you make dua for worldly things that He’ll always grant you. So stop saying “I did this so Allah should do this”. This is not a transactional deal where you do something and then demand Allah to fulfill your wishes. We are His servants not equal partners in a business deal. If you’re worshipping Allah only for your worldly desires to be fulfilled then you’re going on the wrong path. Worship Allah because He is your lord. We are in need of Him, He has no need for our worship. He has billions of angels for it. Sincerely worship Allah and make dua for your worldly desires and especially your Hereafter which is more important and also work hard towards your goals, don’t just make dua and say, “Allah will handle it”, NO. Then without having some kind of made up expectation, sincerely submit to Allah’s plan and see what happens. May Allah guide all of us to the straight path😊
