The fact that Aqua's current self and his past self come to merge as things are happening is really something else, it's like even if he keeps his adult logical side, he's starting to give into his young emotional side, like literally. Even if he's reincarnated, he became a boy, so it makes all sense that his body starts to interfere with his own mind. Most animes don't go that deeply on that, so I loved how the author did it.

I have always been on team Akane but the anime make Kana so cute and everyone is so cute they really go all out for the eye in this one but I guess the eye is a big part in the manga so make sense

Well... they are supposed to be celebrties. If you look idols and actors in Japan the main reason to pick them by agencies are their looks and in second or third place their talent. Japan is a very shallow society in that respect. (Well it's not like Hollywood is that different)
