8:29 the fact that my comment somehow made it in was a nice Christmas present! The only elf bowling I know was a 3D version that would have a 30-day free trial. The reason why we would download it every year was to take advantage of that timeframe. Although now I kinda wanna see the 2D version for myself.
My “Christmas Game” is Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. It’s not the greatest game in the world admittedly, but it has that comfy snowy setting, and hits me right in the nostalgia. I just replayed it and it was surprisingly still pretty fun. A little clunky and a little overly-easy, but fun.
Shenmue 1 is one I think about as one of my favorite Christmas/winter games. Since it starts on November 29th and you play most of the game in December. Santa also makes an appearance.
The problem with Little Inferno is it's price tag, for how little it offers, $21.50 AUD ($29 AUD if you also want the Ho Ho Holiday DLC) is rather exorbitant.
I play Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star every single christmas and it has never failed me 💪💪 It honestly brings back so many memories from when i first played it when i was younger and it never fails to make me emotional in so many levels. I think it has a beautiful story that is told in a very good way and entretaining all the way thru, no matter how many times i play it
One other christmas game I can think of is Xmas Shooting Scramble, basically a bullet hell with bunny girl santa. Said bunny (Aru) also appears in 100% Orange Juice and is often a focus of the christmas events!
Y’all really sleeping on Hyper Princess Pitch here. Greedy little princess goes to Mecha-Santa’s Workshop, and goes all Smash TV on everything. Not to mention her mom is the Goddess of Explosions. Yeah that one fighter from Slap City.
there’s a mega man christmas carol trilogy of fan games. you fight robot versions of the spirits of christmas, marley, scrooge, tiny tim, the heat and snow misers from rankin bass, and even brainwashed dr light in a santa outfit! also: postal 2: happy night mod
i like playing through Portal during Christmas time. I just happened to sit down and watch a playthrough of it around Christmas, so it's just a Christmas game in my mind
There used to be a lot of good Christmas games. That was back in the DOS days when games were much smaller and easier to make. A lot of them were just glorified add ons or asset packs but some of them were really good.
One my fav Christmas themed things is Fortnite's main mode STW where the event is months long with a whole silly story line an a temporary mode that gave me PTSD from when only me an my 4 walls save our butts haha
I just saw a switch game called “Cathulu saves Christmas”. No idea what kind of game it is, but limited run released a digital version of it. I know that’s absolutely not an indicator of quality, but idk maybe it’s worth looking into?
even tho I don't celebrate christmas my "yearly christmas game" is this one game on roblox where you make toys as elves and deliver it, I think, kid me loved it but always got confused with the recipes lol
Ebenezer and the invisible world just recently released early November One month before christmas Its a metroidvania based on the christmas Carol Haven't played it yet but I might get it at the end of the month it look great just by watching clips and gameplay footage
It's disappointing how I got no Christmas games to play in my own experience either But hey, at least you can listen to music and watch movies in this holiday!!
my Christmas/New Year's game is GTA Vice City. Seriously, I get the urge to play it every single year, on New Year's Eve at the latest (one year i had to settle for San Andreas and man that was so disappointing). Then I play it for a few weeks and taper off. the furthest into the year i've made it was early March. But god, do I want to play Vice City again the next Christmas
