Why Are They Talking To Her About The TV Licence Fee? 

It's so simple… if you don't watch, don't pay. Job done!

I had a letter this morning telling me that it was the last chance to pay a TV Tax before a goon visits. It got put into the recycling bin, after the removal of address. After being here for two years they still don't know who I am. Great investigation

Don't give them any money in the first place, just don't engage them what so ever. Don't even contact them to say you don't need a licence. The less info they have on you or your household the better.

If it was good value for money then it wouldn't need to be mandatory. Customers would willingly pay for it, like they do with Netflix, Prime, Sky etc. By making the BBC license mandatory, they are openly admitting to it not being good value for money.

Don't watch don't pay. No bill, not breaking the rules and above all not subjected to propaganda, DEI and "THE MESSAGE". I'm all the better for not consuming that garbage.

Did you know that Capita (the company contracted to "collect" the licence fee on behalf of the BBC), was involved with Fujitsu in providing the Horizon computer system to the Post Office? Wonder what Capita knew about the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history! Fujitsu apparently gave them the boot in favour of HGS and the staff were re-allocated to their other business.

I had a visit from a goon a couple of weeks ago. To my horror and crushing disappointment I did not hear him knock the door, he obviously didn't notice the black doorbell button on the white doorframe or he'd have pushed it, in which case I would not have missed him. Instead I had a note pushed through my letterbox stating that another visit is imminent and an investigation is now underway because I haven't responded to their letters! I am truly gutted that I missed an opportunity to greet the lovely fellow and answer ALL of his queries!

Cancelled mine got £53 refund, no more BBC for me, cheers John 🎉❤

Remember: all their letters, threats, visits and PR is trumped with two words (or no words).

The TV licence fee for the British Box-ticking Corporation should solely go to making programmes. Not to line the pockets of PR agencies, consultants woke training away days and any other jollies they can waste the licence fee on. BTW I stopped paying years ago, so I don't care one jot about what this ghastly broadcaster spends/wastes it on.

The BBC has lost 25% of its audience this past 20 years.....if it was the Private Sector, that would mean a reduction in Income....but this is Britain, and so they will actually see an INCREASE in the Licence Fee !!!!! The supposed Tories seem quite relaxed about this.....and apparently support the appointment of a new Chairman - who is a foreign-born Muslim !! Good 'ol Tories !!

Finally cancelled my telly tax about two months ago, it was the most satisfying phone call I've ever made and to make it even sweeter I got a £80 refund.

Why is it referred to as a TV licence? It's a BBC service tax.

Those " In the Know " , fully understand only Legal advice and tips can be shown on RU-vid. The reality is, why would you ever talk to a single person about your Licence Fee ?. I learned over 15yrs ago that as long as you " NEVER " utter a single word to "ANYONE " involved in stealing your money the is not a damn thing Legally they can do about it. Even if , commissioned based Capita Salesman, knock at your door and can see you watching TV, nothing can happen to you if you just ignore them & the only words you use are " No Thanks " and shut the door in their face. Your troubles only start when you open your fat gob. Keep it simple & keep it real 😁.

Give it a couple of years time they'll need to find an alternative to the current funding method .

When my mother died they gave me the rest of the year free as I was living with her at the time. They even transferred the licence to my new address when I moved. After a year I did not renew and told them in the "No licence required" and have not received any visits nor letters, apart from a polite letter asking me to renew my "no licence" status.

How are the BBC gonna collect the fee from abroad? Or is it just US they harrass? I don't pay so don't watch. #DefundTheBBC

There isn’t often anything I want to watch on TV nowadays. It’s all such Raving Lefty rubbish. And I despise the BBC. So I don’t have a TV Licence. However I did want to see the ITV docudrama about the Post Office scandal. Guess what? I found it on catch up, on the internet, and as you have explained to us, Jon, that we don’t need a Licence to watch programmes that are not “live”, I watched it with a clear conscience. Thank you for teaching me that. 😊

When I stopped paying it (I went in the bank to cancel my DD), my bank manager made a fuss saying "Well when and how do you intend to pay your licence fee?". I was gobsmacked.

If the bbc stopped paying capita to do this stuff then their budget issues would be resolved. Imagine the Co2 emissions that can be saved if those letters aren’t printed anymore?

What I love is the fact that you realised halfway through the video that it was just a scam ad for the agency. Yet you still felt compelled to post the video. I'm not having a go really I'm not. The video was still great to watch. And actually informative as to the amount of scam PR the BBC employs.

When I went to do my "no licence needed" declaration, nowhere on the last scary letter I got could I find a phone number to ring. I ended up having to do it on line. It obviously worked, as I haven't had a scary letter in months now. When I did it previously, I did speak to someone on the phone, who was helpful and friendly. Haven't had a TV licence for 15 years now and won't be getting one ever again.

Look Jon, if you can’t SEE your telly, it’s effectively a radio isn’t it. And radios don’t need a Licence.

I had a strange experience yesterday when I had a visit from a TV licencing representative. Following a brief but polite interaction on the door I went to my Ring Doorbell app to made a copy of the video for future evidence of nothing said other that ‘no thank you’ The representative didn’t use the Ring Doorbell he knocked on the door; however motion detection records the visits to my door. When checking my history of events all activity before and after the visit was recorded but the visit itself was missing. My suspicion is that a jamming device could have been used. I wonder if anyone else has had this issue.

They are definitely ramping up their threatograms (must be because of increased amount of non payers). I usually get a letter every 5 - 7 weeks, however I had two very close together - 18th December & 5th January. The January one had a stamp "enforcement visit authorised" by someone by the name of Jane Jeffers.

Bottom line this crowd are not giving you information that we don't already know. In the past you have explained how to avoid paying the license fee as many times before.🤔

When my dad died he was paying direct debit he should have got a refund for about 6 months the f ing solicitor advised us to pay it ❤x

A certain political program gave you a shout out on Monday. I can't write the three letters of the show at all or even give you a clue as YT keep deleting the comment. They put out programs on Monday Wednesday and Friday hosted often by Mike Robinson and Brain Gerrish.

I was conned into thinking I needed a license because I have internet immediately got a refund but they had an administrative charge I was extremely angry !!!

What a effed up system you have in the UK. In Canada there is no licence to pay for TV. Why should there be? You can buy many extensive TV packages via cable, fiber-optic or satellite TV subscriptions. But you can also receive many free stations via an antenna which many people already do. Public stations like CBC are paid with general taxes. No one in gov't has the moral right or the audacity to charge licence fees to watch TV. That is a distopic nightmare by arse holes.

Capita employees will generally be helpful as they are poorly paid and have bad terms and conditions of employment, so will be understanding of cancellations.

It was on one of your vids here I said I will not be telling them that I do not need licence again , i have usually had email and just replied saying this , but today I get a letter through post , so I am hoping i will get a visit as i will not be notifying them at all

Hi, I received a letter today 1/11/24 saying that I need a licence if I watch basically the same a thing from the Internet from you tube I need a TV licence. When I first stopped heaving a TV licence most of the services were OK to watch, now they list everything. I'm a bit confused that the BBC now has control over Internet content.

I used to pay by payment card, where you top up your account as and when you like and they take the license fee at the end of the year when due. I phoned tvlicensing and had no issues getting a refund, they sent a cheque straight to me. That was 2 years ago

Talking about adverts what's all the interruptions we keep getting halfway through playing videos, it happened on this one It's annoying.
