I don’t collect Pokémon cards but enjoy watching your content. I logged into whatnot just to watch the Pokémon streams and it’s insane how much people spend on those mystery games. Funko shows are starting to become that as well, a lot of mystery games and I never understood how people take a chance on trying to get a chase/grail when it’s probably easier to buy it off someone else. You should have a whatnot scams show too, It’s really interesting

I was buying singles and product on whatnot, mostly from the streams Buy-it-now store, some from live actions. Ever since I started watching your videos, I’ve just started buying singles from online and chasing packs in the wild. Definitely saved more money and have gotten more of what I personally wanted. Whatnot was just too easy to spend and waste my money.

Phanny packs are the only ones I've seen so far that where truly worth the money. He claimed he didn't make any money off them and I believe it.

@@Poke_anonymous Me too. Considering he had to make them, package, and pay for shipping if you bought more than 4, which I did! The only downside is the vintage packs were not box breaks, so possibly weighed by a previous owner.

I (like alot of people I’m sure) have absolutely no issue whatsoever with people making decent side money from their hobby, but there simply MUST be a threshold abided by; as well we shouldn’t stand for being put in a position where needing to take out second mortgages for a fucking Charizard to complete a set is something we are actually considering, haha. The vast majority of us are totally fine having our binders filled with strong PSA 6’s condition wise. As long as the art isn’t grossly obstructed, we are pretty easy to please!

I enjoy rev’s and the others mystery bags, it’s not too crazy expensive and the odds are really there. They are exactly what they say they are. I would bet my collection that Rev and vault don’t weigh packs or rip anyone off. It’s 100% random and they shouldn’t have to video it and prove that.

Problem is that a lot of the buyers of Mystery Packs are kids who tell Mommy I want one of those because they saw it on youtube or my friend has one I want one too...... Or even worse, stole Mommy's credit card and do it themselves Little kids don't understand concepts like odds, value added, overhead, retail vs secondary markets, grading costs.... The worst is people like Pokerev on their videos always say the prices of that card graded as a PSA 10........ A raw card is probably 10% of that....... and the way PSA is these days it's practically gambling too.

Especially the people from our generation that used to collect Pokemon when they were kids. Times are way different nowadays from the 90s and early 2000s. A little off-topic here, but I feel like when buying Pokémon cards, Walmart 3.78$ sleeved booster packs (the price in my area) are like the baseline of buying current modern cards for a good price because honestly that's not a bad price for a pack. Yes, you can hunt for even cheaper $ per pack, but for a casual buyer this is it.

I finally came to the decision to limit myself in ripping product because I basically had a gambling addiction lol bit now woth the way the market is it is actually easier to open a bit of a set on release and then wait for the prices to drop and get the ones I didn't pull.

I shop around from my LGS or Pokémon Center OR a trusted streamer. Sometimes a stream has a deal based on the others being out of stock or a connection to those tasty Japanese sets.

The community in my area is straight up trash and to be honest I have only ever had great experiences on whatnot I can see the trash for sure but it's like anything else if you can make money off of pokemon I see no problem just like you rattle you post and sell things on ebay your not a bad guy but you are making money off of pokemon so I am not sure what the problem is either way you have my support but so does whatnot lol

I’ve actually seen revs mystery stuff have old packs that you can actually pull out. Lol them other boxes are literal trash. An almost impossible to pull anything crazy out of it. it depends who you watch and what you go for. I have won plenty of auctions, mystery bags and pull games. I am way up in profit margins. Its a gamble yes, but that's why people do, for the chance to hit something for cheap. I spent $90 on 3 151 booster bundles from walmart and didn't get a hit and lost money. Ive spent $90 on mystery bags and pulls and hit $120 or more on average. So the return for me personally has been amazing as opposed to buying packs myself. If someone likes to gamble, thats on them, atleast with whatnot your gamble you still get a tangible object with your gamble opposed to just throwing money at a casino or something and get nothing in return.
