We bought a class A just last year, they are absolutely amazing. Class C RVs have smaller holding tanks, that is why we avoided them. After a month long trip driving from Florida back to Alaska, we wished we could just live in our RV. Even though we now have five children, we still fit comfortably into our RV. Thanks to families like yours, we have been inspired to become a full time RV family as well. We are looking at trying to start this winter, after downsizing and selling. Our Channel will be 'The RV Vikings', because my Grandfather came to the USA from Norway.
That’s awesome!! Love that name!! And yes the Class As have a much larger fresh water tank than Class C’s which is a big deal for us and boondocking! Thanks for watching and glad your enjoying our videos!!
You guys are just so awesome. I love the way you are bringing up your kids. And Laine, I absolutely adore you for being so affectionate with your kids. So many today are not like this. I was and now I am seeing it through you. Don’t change y’all. Keep having fun. Love you lots!
I can imagine that with a fifth wheel and four children, packing, breakdown, travel, bathroom stops, set-up, and unpacking must be a challenge. My guess is that you're going to transition to a Class A. The kids will have something to do while you're on the road, and the pit stops will be less frequent between destinations.
Bless you! We’ve been struggling with what class to buy. We want a Class A or C but felt like we needed to get a 5th wheel due to our kids. We will only have 1 teenager in 2 years so we wanted to go straight into what would make the most sense for the future, but was to concerned about his privacy & making sure he had his own space. You’ve given me so much to think about and insight into this.
We did the same thing in March 2019. Sold our big house with 4,300 sf and bought a new Grand Design Solitude 380fl. Kids are grown but also homeschooled for years. Been full-timing it for six months and trying to find our next place to live. If I understand it, you went from the Montana to the Imagine and now the motorhome and Jeep. Does this feel like a setup you will stay with for awhile?
Excited for your enthusiasm. I am new at this RVing thing. There are five of us in our 5th wheel. The difference is that we are adults - BIG adults. I would say that as the children grow up and fill out, the size of the camper may matter. I am dealing with closed in spaces and the lack of cabinets, but overall, we are liking this new adventure we are on. Glad you are praying about all your decisions...gotta be doing what you are called to do and be where the Lord really wants you b/c your light must shine where He plants you along this journey called "LIFE". Couldn't find out exactly what you are getting so I look forward to your next RU-vid video. Gale Flowers
We own a class A and my daughter has the camper, very similar to yours and I have to say we are almost the exact same length. But they have so much more space for a family. I am so curious to see how this works for you all. And I'm excited about your ideas for the class A as mine needs some serious remodel. Love watching you and your family. You're so genuine!
Very cool y’all. A new chapter. I think as long as you’re together on the road, it doesn’t matter what the vessel is. I’ll be praying for you. Safe travels and God Bless y’all.
Making our big(small) purchase this week! We are going from 2,200 sqft to a fifth wheel. Now I'm questioning that after watching this. LOL!! Our goal is to make the living room our "master studio" with no need for a bunkhouse floor plan by giving the kids the bedroom in the rig. Best of luck to you guys. We can't wait to see what you end up doing!
Hello Party of 6.. Just Subscribed!! We aren't RVer's YET but we do plan on getting a class C. & it's just gonna be the 2 of us.. Kids are already grown/have they're own place & have they're own kids. So this will be our time to ourselves & our time to enjoy GODS world... Good Luck on your journey & nice to meet you!!! The 3 kids that I saw Oh My Gosh they're so CUTE!!! HUGS.....
The breast cancer ribbon stuck out to me the most. My cousin had a double mastectomy today. Found cancer under her arms too. Pet scans later to see what it’s looking like. Rough days ahead. But my daughter (first girl in my family in over a hundred years), turns one tomorrow!!! NICU survivor. Rough entry to the world, but GOD IS GOOD
We went from 2400 sq ft house to 30 ft travel trailer (with 22ft dually) to our 24 ft Class C total (no tow car) and love it. With kids we would go a little bigger class c and pull a Jeep. Class As are nice and can carry a ton of stuff but the tires and engine aren't easy to find or have worked on. Always PROs & CONs to any type of RV right? Safe travels yall! -Thomas
Thanks for the comment Thomas! I’ve watched y’all for a while now and enjoyed seeing y’all make your transitions! We also like that Class As have a much larger fresh water tank vs Class C’s and seem to be constructed better.. at least on the diesel pushers.. which after having a diesel truck and towing in the mountains, I want a DP! But yes pros and cons to everything! Just have to find what works for that season of life and just like life, things change! Thanks for watching!! Safe travels to y’all and hope to cross paths someday!! - Michael
I love this. We downsized to 1000 sq ft condo 2b/2b for 4yrs with 2kids/my husband/me/mother-n-law in Denver. That was easy on our kids who were real little. You go with the flow in life of where you are and what your dreams are. So that’s changed for us now as we wanted a yard to grow food, space for husband to do art and room for my retired mother-n-law. So, We just moved from colorado to Texas to afford a 4b/2b w/ pool for just little more than price of our condo. Kids are in 2nd and 3rd grade and recently moving in past 2wk was hard on them to leave friends more so than when they were younger. And things will probably change again to downsizing, but we hope after kids graduate from high school 😊
I met a couple in Washington State. The mom dad and SIX kids in a large converted B van that had probably served as airport transportation. Full time and had been for two years. Only vehicle.
Thanks for sharing your honest view, I'm planning to go full time by next year, and I'm dreaming with a rig like yours, especially because I gonna need a private room to work while the kids can play inside/out with no problem. So good to know the cons of a rig that size. Hope you find a better fit for your family. Love you guys. God bless you all.
And everyone thought we were crazy going from 3 bedroom home to 36ft RV. We only have one child and I couldn't imagine going smaller. I do think that a Class A or C would make travel days with children easier, but I'm thinking they will be even more restrictive on undeveloped roads than your dually. Interested to see how things go for you. Liked and subbed to support a fellow youtubing rver! Also love your rapport with your kids!
Thanks! We do plan on towing a 4x4 vehicle that will seat us all for our off-road adventures. And the new RV will just get us close enough to that while providing a much better travel experience.
We left SC a week ago and we are presently in Texas. We are in a 2018 26ft. Class C. Just my husband, myself and a little dog. Works great for us we do tow a small jeep. We are headed to Oregon. I just need help with packing too many clothes. I know whatever you decide will be right for your family. Loving life, that's what it's all about.
Bless her heart x. All better now x. Let the Air get to your arm. Tough kid x Bless you all. I am so happy for you. I will see what you are going to. next when i log in on FB x
Let me start by saying Happy Belated Mother’s Day Sorry I missed y’all but my boys’ including husband kept me spoiled. My in-laws have a Class A and they love it. They have plenty of room for the grandkids, it has 1 1/2 baths, bedroom, living, dining, kitchen laundry. Built in generator washer/dryer combo. They tow their car behind. Good luck with whatever y’all decide. Have y’all found a buyer for the 5th wheel/truck yet? Laine, I love your t-shirt Michaels too. As always thanks for sharing and have a blessed, safe day.
I just love you guys! A sweet God centered family. Baby girl was very brave and I am proud of her. I think you will enjoy a shorter class A or a large(ish) class C and have a flat-tow car for day use. If I had a family, that's how I would do it.
I have been dreaming of having a fifth wheel like this. We are a long way from that. I was browsing craigslist and happened upon your listing. I love what you have done to this trailer.
Feeling too settled, time to change it up!! This is totally me but Kent doesn't always embrace change as quickly and easily. I love that you're all on the same page with this and can't wait to see where this next adventure takes you.
When we had young kids, we chose the motor home over 5th wheel due to travel ease. Best choice, guys. Great call. We just changed to 5th wheel now that they’re teenagers. W// the motor home, young kids can nap on the road, get comfortable, and go potty and eat any time. So happy for you!!!!!!
Yes we believe it’s the best move for us at this age with our kids! We are excited to get to traveling!! Still at our home base working on getting everything done! Thanks for watching
Enjoy your new adventure! You should keep track of your pros and cons and maybe after another 9 months or year look back and see which is more practical and which gave y’all the freedoms you want. That said, as the kids get bigger you might end up like us...tow rig, 5th wheel, family SUV...
You two are the most adorable couple and I just love all your precious babies! I think what you're doing is wonderful and good for those children! When people are in love and love one another and happy, sharing adventures, especially with God at the helm, it's all good! God bless you all, I have subscribed to your RU-vid channel and I look forward to seeing all of your adventures in the future!
I wish we could have bought your rig! We've been binging all kinds of RV tours and your set up was the best I've seen!!! I love love love how you decorated it.
If you haven't bought your new camper, a guy in Ring gold GA has a new and used lot parkway camper sales, you get a 90 day warranty and 21 day's free camping with an option to extend your warranty. The website is pawkway auto sales. Love your videos.
You guys are so inspiring. We meet with a realtor tonight to discuss selling our home and going full time. Like I said on Instagram, I wish I had saw that your rig was for sale a little sooner. Hope to see you on the road one day. God Bless and Safe Travels.
We can't decide between a Class A or a 5th Wheel... Our list of priorities change every week. You make a great point about where you spend the majority of your time. Can't wait to see what your next rig will be. Who knows, maybe your adventures will help us make a decision!
We have been following you guys on you tube!! So we haven't yet seen your grand reveal on Instagram but I told my husband on several occasions after watching your videos that I thought you guys would probably downsize to a class C eventually! Super excited to watch how your transition unfolds! We got turned on to you guys about Christmas. We have sold our house and purchased our Coachmen Freelander 32bh. It's a 32 foot Bunkhouse model Class C and we love it! We are Towing behind our 14ft gmc suv and our journey begins in sc on May 24th!!! I vote you guy's check out a class C! Good luck!!😍many congrats!!
@@LoftisPartyofSix completely understandable! We just bought a used Class C from a private seller that isn't too old. But we had a great family in our church with four kids by a regular size Class C Bunkhouse and two of their kids slept up top in the bunk above cab!
I bet you are upgrading to a motor home! Makes more sense, then the kiddos can play and move around while you travel, or get school out of the way as you travel on down the road. I would love to do what you all are doing, it seems so freeing and less stressful💕
Just please be careful with the seats in the RV. They aren’t like vehicle seats. The seatbelts only get bolted to ply and not the frame in the car/truck.
Thank you and yes we will make sure it’s safe! I will say that our RV will definitely be safer than a school bus where kids never where seat belts every day they go to and from school.
Yes smaller is better I went form a 20ft TT to a toy hauler 30ft (36ft total) much harder on travel days and finding spots. Once there the more space is nice. I do miss my smaller 20FT TT. Laine is a super mom.
LOL the kidos! love the kidos, what will you do when you guys are like us. older the kids are grown and gone living their own lives. Are you taking notes? photo memories? We are just two, we use a Jeep wrangler unlimited and a small travel trailer, our ministry is disaster relief. But in our down time off road off grid boondocking what ever you call it is ......challenging .....but worth it. We hope you guys get to see what we mean. our thoughts and prayers are with you both, very cute couple and kidos love it.
I think it’s great to go SHORTER and be able to go more places. I am sure that alone will decrease your driving stress. You’re right, kids are very adaptable. As long as you’re together, that’s the important part. I will say though, the smaller you go, the more outside time you and the kids will have 😳. Big noise in small spaces might test your nerves....lol.
Best wishes. I'm assuming it may be a little more cost effective? I can understand your stress. You have four mouths to feed and responsibility for their health and well-being. God Bless from Austin Tx.
Hey, that’s so exciting your getting a motor home! I was just wondering how you are putting the car seats in it. I was told kids can only sit in car seats facing forward not sideways. (Like on the couch and dinette alone the wall) Does you motor home have shoulder and lap belts for the booster seats? Also does your motorhome have the rear tether hook behind the seats to connect the car seats rear tether strap? My parents have a motorhome and my kids really want to do a camping trip with them. Unfortunately I can’t let them because of the car seat safety issue. Maybe other brands and types are car seat safe. You would think all the motorhome companies would think about kids and car seat safety.
Car seat safety is a concern of ours obviously, but it will definitely be safe and legal! Oh and it’s way safer than them being on a school bus 2 times a day with no seat belts!
I know right! I’m so nervous about my kids getting in an accident on the school bus. I tell them to buckle up but I know they don’t do it all the time. No one checks to see if they are buckled. They just have lap belts in the bus. I don’t understand how that is legal.
WOW! Do it! 👍 So your going smaller or shorter? You have to come back to Arizona in come to Sedona and campsites in Oak Creek area. Miss you guys when you were near Page Az.
What economical Gimbal to you recommend to start out with? I have been wanting to step up my game with videos and pictures. After being contacted by a business about my photos and videos. Wanting to see more.Been looking at that newest Gimbals out there. But some are just a little bit to pricey. But the features are just what I need. But I need a economical priced one. Needing your opinion. We have the same type of RV that you are getting. But we are wanting to downsize ours. We would have sold you ours. Then we could have gotten a smaller one. Lol
How do you guys work out doctors apts? As far as like, the kids' yearly check ups or whatever? Just curious. Do you schedule them for like once a year and head home at a certain time of year for those or what?
In my opinion, I'm sure you've thought hard about this, going smaller may begin to sacrifice privacy, which may increase insanity. Just think about the long run. I don't know that you're crazy but I think you are just trying to find the niche!
not over in length.. lol .We have a 45ft fifth wheel toy hauler, I understand about finding a place to get into for camping .We had to buy a truck camper also so we can boondocks to Alaska. so now we have 2 campers lol ...we will be doing a renovation on it before Alaska. glad you are happy and travel safe take care
Loftis Party of Six - weROAM Yes it is life changing I help run media at Ashes to Beauty. I feel everyone should get a chance to go. It is life changing!
I tried to find out on your Facebook page couldn't find the answer. So if I had to guess I would guess a motor home with maybe hauling a minivan. Love watching you guys! RV for life!
Lol! I can understand that. It may not have read this was in my text - but I was truly just teasing with my comment ♥️ I’m sure you are all very excited for your new traveling home!
Are you going to find a Class A or C with that many seatbelt locations? I know it sounds convenient to think that you could get up and go to the bathroom or fix a sandwich while traveling down the road at 60+ mph, but the safety aspect of that is a bad idea.
Yes we have looked at ones with enough seat belts. Yes we understand the safety concerns but it will be safer than sending our kids to school or on a school bus with no seat belts. Thanks for watching.
Please settle down and build a home and a life for yourselves and your children. May I suggest watching Out In The Country. They are a young family converting a manufactured home into an actual home, one room at a time. You should consider doing the same.mthey bought a 27 yo manufactured double-wide on a lot of acres for the same price as ur 5th wheel.
