What a couple of great policemen. I've been to the AWE and stopped at a lovely hotel called Aldermaston Manor. I went for a walk at night along the AWE perimeter fence and was astounded at the security, double perimeter fence and guard dog patrols. It's like a POW camp from WW2.
The higher trained they are, the better they are - firearms are usually the best but these were great 👌🏻 It’s the grunt who are the problem - ego driven and lacking knowledge usually but it’s slowly changing with camera usage!
I worked at an AWE in the 80's at the height of the Ireland problems. Security was so lapse that when we went to the pub on a Friday I once got back in to site holding up a cheese burger as a pass

Great Police interaction they are what we expect from our police force, Polite non confronting, and super helpful. At least 2 coppers are nice out of God knows how many!
These cops were great! Actually interested and well mannered. Not trying to "get" you. Not trying too fish hard (although that is their job to get something from you - fair enough). Seemed like actually genuinely nice blokes. Great video! Thanks lads. All round lovely interaction there. People like these videos as much as the crazy scraps on some other videos! Haha.
There’s also a small airfield called Brimpton within that zone to the north, and subject to certain rules, aircraft can fly within the restricted area to fly into and out of there.
I share your disillusionment about the weather, but the positive response from the officers will have hopefully contradicted that to "some extent" at least!!😊

For one you are really disrespectful to film people getting their car searched at the gates clearly showing their face. Those people have almost literally had to sign their lives away to get security clearance to be on that site. You filming them in a way that allows them to be identified puts them in danger of being targeted by anti nuclear pressure groups
Note all police forces in the UK are civilian, only service personnel are Military. Civil servants working for the MOD are also civilians. The civilian police often forget this !!
To great MOD Police Officers. Havong worked at MOD establishments in the past with MOD Police carrying out gate duties and pass (ID Card) checks and Vehicle inspections. Its nice to see times have changed allowing the MOD Plods to carry propet responsibilities by have civilian personnel carrying out Pass and vehicle inspections.
Some really cool people work for these government organisations. I've had random orders for the tools I distribute and staff are really helpful. I've even dealt with a real life 'Q'.

Planning applications for demolition are common and the general procedure is to place a legal notice at the site for members of the public to read them, but this info is obviously too complicated for police to 'understand' and the concept that not everyone can visit the site to read them is 'obviously' not something that they can process...
Those police officers are MOD police not normal police officers.Their only job is to police THAT establishment and they would NEVER EVER turn up to a crime that effects you. Do your research .
Hi i found this really weird as i live in Tadley ,which is just next door to this. Tadley used to be a nice place ,not so much now. Did you see our new Lidl,s lol.I thought they stopped making war heads etc here. Years ago you'd see army trucks going through on the main road but not now. I agree with the copper it is boring round their. Lol. Kingsclere is nicer . The book watership down is based on Kingsclere downs. Silchester is nice and think a Dr Who episode was filmed there when John Pertwee was the Dr. I maybe wrong lol. Shame you didn't say you were here you could of popped in for a cuppa .
It’s amazing how police come out to a person with a camera so quickly. Okay understandable coming out to sites like this. But normal business and police stations they always come in numbers for someone not doing anything illegal. But have your house burgled or car nicked you just get a crime number. It’s definitely not the best way to go about policing. It’s strange how many times you see this happening.
When will they learn that, if you're outside of their perimeter, they have no jurisdiction whatsoever and shouldn't even be calling the Police to attend unless something illegal is occurring?

A very foolish man just trying to provoke and exploiting his filming a sensitive place to get that result. Doesn’t he know that we now live in a world where really dangerous people exist and film such places as recces for potential targets ?the security and police are doing their job and fools with a camera who pose as fighters for freedom are only embarrassing themselves in their ignorance and self importance . The police were so good in not giving him what he wanted and just being polite and helpful while showing him they were aware he was there and not a threat to anyone or anything , just a fool being a fool. But that’s ok , we’ve lots of them . Unfortunately , I’ve seen video footage filmed by people of markets at Christmas full of people, train stations and official buildings that were the recording of these places for future attacks and bombings . Attacks they carried out . In any other context asking his questions and filming the police in their job would be worrying . Fortunately they knew I he was a harmless idiot out to provoke reactions and had seen his other videos .
Sorry but exposing the migrant crisis is one thing but zooming in and filming a military facility where filming is prohibited and exposing security weaknesses in the current geopolitical situatoion is bullzhit, unsubscribed.
I agree with not filming the MOD facility, but trust me there's security dotted all about and there's even armed MOD police officers. It hasn't got any security weaknesses, and if you were to try to breach security, they'll be onto you right away! I heard tales of a CND protester who lived close by to the site who would regularly try to access the site, only for her to not get very far
Delivered a load of turf about 10 years ago contractors were putting the final touches to massive shed with an opening roof was told it was for a laser weapon experiment it could be that being demolished.
