I heard an idea lately that stories/novels and what have you, are life itself, only stripped of the trivialities that reduce the grandeur of the highs and lows of ordinary trials we face. You don't remember the grinding work hunting, you remember the chase, the kill, and the meal.
This is such a sight for sore eyes, as I've been conditioned all my life to believe that the only thing that is important are the endeavors that bring in money and that overwork is a badge of honour.
I think some of us, maybe many of us, "need" to make some sort of art to express something about where we are in our lives, but I do not believe that most people need to watch "other people get their kicks for you." That falls into the "want" territory.
Nah. Art is a luxury. I've never seen the aurora and when I researched local art courses it costs $500+ for THREE days of art lessons. Life is hell and art is bullshit.
I hate these unnecessary drawing hand programs. The words are plenty enough, without some cockamamie animation. It's the hand pretending to draw the illustrations that is annoying. The drawings by themselves would be fine.
