Finance RU-vidrs should learn from this guy cuz they usually just interrupt whatever RU-vid video they are doing to promote the sponsor - but that crude approach only annoys viewers

For a lot of these teams, there's also a lot of cost involved in operating the team. So, you have to take that into account. In many cases, these teams operate at a profit. But some do so at a loss because of very high player/athlete salaries + luxury taxes. Bottom line, don't just look at the acquisition cost then the present/future valuation. This is not like a stock. It's more like real estate that you have to maintain/renovate with tenants who may or may not pay rent to cover the costs.
