We have to learn to use our heads instead of emotions when it’s time to vote. We can’t vote for someone because of personal feelings, if they have a black agenda that’s suitable and meet our demands then vote if not don’t give it to them. Tbh I feel like if it’s not done by us (black people) it’s not worth much. The government gives bits and crumbs to everyone (except lgbtq , white passing Latinos &&’ Asians, respectfully) to make us feel comfortable or think we’re satisfied. If you don't have the power of the purse, a veto proof majority, and the guts to take it there, then not much is going to be accomplished. I am African and I live in Africa. Any group that votes up to 80-90% in block WILL be taken for granted. Political tribalism won't get the people anything. It only serves the interest of political powers. A political party already have total power over you once they convinced you that voting for the other party is never an option. Hadn't checked all the comments but more parties in the mix will likely set our community further back even if we changed the system of government to say a parliamentary one. The end fighting between smaller factions would help the Republican party dominate for a few more decades to come. My wild recommendations that would illicit immediate positive changes off the cuff are as follows in no particular order: Join the Republican party in droves to dilute or completely dominate their 'exclusive' current personality, Have Congress expand the electoral college to the state level (meaning the adjusted equity of minority votes AND absolute death of gerrymandering), and finally Getting a reparations bill though Congress that includes all the stuff owed, taken and destroyed in addition to future benefits such as a full exemption from all U.S. and state taxes. These can actually be done if we can find common ground. I basically put these on for the trolls already here antagonizing the already pissed off and playing on our frustrations to keep us divided. They basically said the law making it more difficult for Native Americans, Navajo in particular, to vote in AZ was legal after even admitting it did impact the Navajo. Roberts has a long history of not being friendly toward voting rights, especially for Black people. He then struck down VRA Section 5. That's a valid part of the law if you believe in the 14th and 15th Amendments, and was approved by over 95% of Congress just years earlier. So much for judicial He claimed there was Section 2 of the VRA was in tact and now has weakened that. See AZ. He voted with the majority in weakening it. They affirmed radical gerrymandering, but that's still the court. Trump appointed justices that claimed Brown v Board of Ed is not settled law.

November 1, 2021 I changed my voter registration from Democrat to Non-Affiliated. This is after being a registered Democrat from 1982 when I turned 18. In other words, without taking away the power of white nationalists to legally criminalize, to physically brutalize, to economically cripple, and to politically isolate and neutralize us, reparation money will have little effect if any at all, on how we live!! No party is totally right, some democratic actions I agree with and some Republican actions I agree with, the party system is Archaic and need to change.
We should create our own party with our own candidates, if our candidates dnt win the nomination we pick the candidate no matter what party that will run off our platform, our agenda and our needs

The issues black people want are embedded in the constitution. Attaching all those amendments dont change its fundamentals. So, rewriting the constitution is the solution.

This is a long time coming. When 90% of a group of people always vote for a party that most don't know why.... it's time. Black Americans are really seeing and feeling the affects of bad voting over and over.

The main issue is that most political "experts" like Mark Hill, other professors, dudes that work for cable news networks and entertainers take money from one political party to push certain candidates. The average citizen doesn't understand that when you see these dudes telling us certain candidates will make change, they are paid to push them. Stop supporting candidates for pay. We need to hold our Democrat leaders accountable NOT leave the party. Republicans are faithful whether they feel like their party has met their needs or not. If we leave the Dems, we split the votes and Reps will ALWAYS win- local, state, or national elections!
What you are suggesting is what we are currently attempting. However blacks continue to be neglected by the Democratic Party. This is in spite of the undying loyalty to said party. I would rather keep my vote in my pocket then to continue being the Democrat’s chump nor do I fancy becoming the Republican’s chump.

Frustration of what hasn't materialized is firmly rooted in the thousands of laws and socially accepted actions of prejudice (by either ancestry or financial class) since the inception of this country. These continue to favor the relatively small minority of so-called elite while actively sowing division among the rest, whom are largely in agreement as she stated. The current Democratic party's a socially/politically inclusive entity, as opposed to one that's primarily an exclusive one. That means it's tougher to attain and successfully maintain consensus. These previous statements are the problems in a nutshell. With that said, let me drop a positive suggestion instead of the usual complaints about the same things over and over. I suggest building local interests in government and legislative participation. The earlier people are introduced to/knowledgeable of how these things work/came to exist, the better benefits we'll achieve with a more solid foundation. There's obviously no 'easy' button to solve these problems quickly, but encourage everyone to brushup or learn the branches of U.S. government, the individual positions within the branches and what they are responsible for, especially those at your local level. Doing so should cut some of the 'Why can't they ...' and get to proactive actions like regularly voting/vetting & supporting better candidates/running for office locally plus making every announced local/midterm elections/legislative voting as important if not more so than presidential ones. Finally, let's better help each other by challenging others to bring a solid answer with each complaint they have about how things should be going. We need more do'ers-A do'er btw is a complainer willing to show up and lend an actual hand to help. Sending a huge thanks to all the do'ers out there-Thanks for everything you do✌🏿
Neither party serves us any good, as proof positive of this last election. I learned a valuable lesson and I do not need to be re-taught it. We need separation and to seize our power.
