Aaaaand he’s really fit so. I think he was in love with him. Bradley Cooper v Brando!! Come on mate. Casting folk sometimes see someone’s talent as an extension of their own ego.
He was the last to give the world of Hollywood true class and recognition. He polished up the negative image that the industry had and just focused on the actual art and talent that goes into every project and actor/actress involved in it.
Yeah, that's what's missing from the current discourse. Spotlighting the craft. Award shows, celeb gossip and the like, really perpetuate this parasocial cycle that makes actors and film people more insular and audiences more prone to spectacle.
I had no idea James is 92! Woah, I thought he was in his early 70's at most. He really carries himself well with good spirit and life. So cool and I love how he cares so much about his students. Best wishes to him and keep on rockin! His skits with SNL and WIll are hilarious. I need a stack of blue cards!
I remember this interview like yesterday . My 88 year old Pops passed 10-28-2023 Mins Blowing how great human beings are here 1 day .... after accumulating a lifetime of mementoes. And information they leave it here forever RIP Hopefully King & Lipton are doing another interview in the next realm 😊
I also remember Bradley Cooper asking Robert DeNiro a question at the end of his interview, bob said ….oh yeah good question……and 3 years later they’re in a movie together
Two giants! If you haven't, please read James Lipton's book "An Exaltation of Larks." It's a fabulous book on the terms of venery and the development of a section of the English language, e.g. a parliament of owls, a colony of ants, a pride of lions, etc. Masterpiece!
@@beardleyjames I just wanted to thank you again for being so supportive and following me on my journey, I love inspiring and encouraging others. People like you help me to keep showing up! Hope you have great day. It’s nice to be able to satisfy you if I may ask how long have you been my fan and where are you from..
I wish I knew what he meant when he said "a unique acxessibility to the self". I got refused from a drama school where I live. They never told me why. They told me at the audition I did well. Maybe they didn't see what ever James is talking about.
It just means Bradley was in touch with his true self, unfiltered, unguarded and allowed fellow actors/directors and the audience access to himself with no shield or false front/protection. Living in the moment, attentive and present.
I thought that phrase was marvelous. Chained Rider got it, I think. We all have moments of this state of being, I think. But living it! Living in the continual Now, not burdened by the past or fearful of the future, simply accessing the True Self- that is the goal.
In 10 years as a Dean of the School. He didn't had that many students. They also have to achieve and be recognizable so he can invite them to the Actor's Studio.
sophie75 I was thinking the same but if you think about it. Not many actors become huge like him and go on to be amazing directors also. There are probably thousands of schools and very rarely do they come out with such success. So this is a win for them for sure.
It’s not just actors, there’s writers, directors too. And just because they’re not A list Hollywood, doesn’t mean they’re not on broadway or other forms of success
no one made it to the statut of A-LIST ..... many others went to a successful career in different field but they are not A-list doesn't mean they didn't succeed ... It's like you are saying that Jeff besos' college is not great cause it took them X+ years to get someone like him ....
