There's the episode he tortures Daffy Duck and the spy movies he basically ploted and manipulated everyone into doing without Daffy knowing (the character the movie revolved around). I think another thing that makes Bunbun a great villain, is the emotional impact of Pibby's broken promise. In the very beginning of the trailer, she says something along the lines of "I'll never let anything happen to you", and in the very next shot they are separated.
True, she's promised to make him safe, but she cannot do that because she can't do that of course, so in Bun-bun imagination, that mean she's easily lie
What if: The glitch promised Bunbun new friends that would be the corrupted characters, and on BunBun's vision he sees the corrupted characters as "new friends"
While I do like the idea of Pibby learning willpower in order to outlast the glitch, there are plenty of other characters with said willpower, like Finn, who do end up corrupted. It's going to be a bit difficult to find that balance to make it reasonable for Pibby to survive the glitch but not someone like Samurai Jack.
I think that sheer force of will alone won't be enough for Pibby; I imagine at some point she will need to advance her meta-narrative awareness (i.e. Fourth-Wall exploitation) to help outmanoeuvre the glitch. As seen in the April Fools shorts, Pibby _is_ aware of the Fourth Wall to some extent by attempting to plea for help from the audience, but I think she will need much more than that.
It's either just a weird dream that pibby is having (kinda a stretch), or, pibby has a overpowered immune system (even more of a stretch). Edit: these things probably aren't true, I know I just made this comment, but still.
Like they said, Jack is seen fighting the darkness in the end of the first short, but in the Samurai Jack series, we have seen Jack being overpowered and defeated many times. Not even he could outlast such a being.
I like how most of the special followed a theme. Rick and Morty: parasites that invade the mind Eric Andre: Murder and Taking over Aqua Team: morphing into something new It just feels right for what we’ve seen of Pibby thus far and follows its themes

What's in store for Pibby could be far worse than we expected. Warner was recently merged with Discovery and a good chunk of the heads of Warner were canned. We could lose Adult Swim, and by dint of that, the show.
The April Fools part with the Rick and Morty universe I find to be very cool! Not only does it show the corruption taking its core on its other tv broadcast like Morty, but it also demonstrates how some characters react when the glitch first starts to control over them. Unlike falling into the glitches liquid like pool, instead it actually slowly spreads onto a character without them ever stepping into the glitch
So far, the cartoon network and boomerang universes (including adult swim) are being attack by whatever this virus thing is. Meaning that the multiverse is in danger of being interfered and changed in static or corruption. Unless the remaining of those who aren’t infected fight back. Otherwise it’d spread to other universes such as nickelodeon or specific universes like an anime one from. Basically their all connected but throughout the multiverse. (Ya saw cameos in the trailer like spongebobs bathroom, Rockos modern life background and etc) The glitch seems to give The ones infected can have possibly special abilities like George jetson, transformations of limbs in the body. The theory that this thing gets the shows that get canceled isn’t really all true, Morty is in a show that has not been canceled, nor is One of the characters from the trailer that is from a show called “Craig of the creek” Bun bun isn’t specifically the villain, but either “SOMEONE” or something started the glitch, if you look at the logo thumbnail of the trailer, or on google theres a face of a monster opening his face as if its roaring. So theres a chance that “thing” is the face of the glitch, and that is the true villain.
This is just a theory but maybe the glitch represent nostalgia. When looking at the trailer I realize something that is really present in most of the characters. They are usually from cancelled cartoons like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and Gumball or really old cartoons like The Flintstones, Dextar Laboratory, or Looney Tunes. Of course there’s cartoons like Craig of the Creek and Rick and Morty that are still going on but is mostly old and cancelled shows. The glitch could be rebooting these show which is why it is controlling and changing them. There are reboots that are good but others not so much. Maybe Pibby’s show might be cancelled or a really old show because we don’t really know the context of the show she and Bun Bun resign in. Of course it could be like Cartoonito but the shows on there are kinda old like how they are still playing Caillou. It must be a metaphor of networks relying on these old shows to make them money, either having them rebooted, reruns, or selling merchandise. But this is just a theory, A FILM THEORY!
My personal pibby theory/headcanon is that the glitch is the embodiment of TV show networks trying to be “hip with the kids” an or becoming cringey which is why in the concept art it said the the glitch will say meme stuff like based or smh

So basically, taking the best theory of network television, when Bun Bun gets infected, he sees the so called paradise in streaming services and urges the cartoons to follow suit Which means that the Streaming Company Balls (I really think that the Polandball franchise can contribute to this theory if true), are basically enslaving Bun Bun to find and enslave the other cartoons against their will. This is ought to get creepy… Edit: After watching this video over and over again, and implying the network theory and the Rob theory and my thoughtful addition with the company balls AND the info book leak about how Bun Bun uses Internet Slang from the glitch… I think I got my story for this: With the rise of streaming, the company balls needed to take over the world of cartoons to keep their business afloat, at first, they asked politely to let them occupy them so that they can have it running for the people in the real world with network tv dying, but they refused since that means they would have no free will anymore and would have to work for them. And because of this, they get pissed and decided to do something about it. Together, using internet technology, they created the glitch. And they needed a perfect place to start it. They eventually found Pibby’s world with a very easily manipulative Bun Bun that is perfect to spread its takeover. And so, they told the internet to send it to that show for a takeover and the glitch does start to take over and spread The glitched eyes on Bun Bun is him seeing the company balls telling him what to do and spread its propaganda to other people to convince them that they can get ultimate paradise if they let the void consume them. And when it does, the cartoons get met by the company balls where they will infect the mind control glitch on them against their will and force them to go help Bun Bun with their streaming takeover and advance the glitch further to consume all of the worlds. They even get to use internet slang to manipulate the hero’s and force them to give up in order to consume them Then the all the events plus Rob theories will occur. And when the glitch consumes them all, even Rob, one of the most powerful cartoon characters with the remote in hand. The company’s can finally remove mind control and delete the memories of ever meeting together. And place them back into their home planets, but will never meet together nor have any free will since they will think and manipulated by these balls that they stay and work all the time unaware that they are being slaves to these streaming balls while the balls watch from a far as the cartoons get work done, proud for what they done for the entertainment of millions If the story goes this way, then it would be more serious and heartbreaking that this is what it looks like when cable dies and that the only thing left for these characters to go to in order to call home is streaming. The message of being forced to move on can be that the fact that these companies are protected by their respective country balls. And with their diplomatic immunity, there is no chance that the people can rise up and say that this is wrong… and so their fates have been sealed forever… Let me know if anything feels off and I’ll fix it. But I think this is how the story can play out if we take many theories mentioned at the start and apply them

Ok I have 2 theories. First. Bun bun is took by the glitch right? And pibby is going world to world. I think the glitch is telling bun bun that evil is good. For example they are from a preschool show and they don't know much about stuff because pibby doesn't know what blood is. so the glitch could be educating or telling bun bun that corruption is good. And also you see In the first pibby video that pibby has been to lots of universes and running from the glitch and fighting back. Maybe the glitch thinks of pibby as the hero and since it has her best friend bun bun it thinks it can bring her down by her fighting her best friend. So even if pibby stops the corruption bun bun is still a young kid. So he believes what it said. And may start becoming evil himself
one idea i think. bun bun is all about learning and being taught while many cartoons are static people because they're episodic. Bun bun learns which lets the glitch learn so by not fully taking bun bun it gets to learn and figure out how to improve itself.
I think this might be the void after all. Rob talks about ignorance too. And in the void, there were dark parts that did have colors in them that looked like the original glitch but a little brighter. Also there are parts where you can make out that rainbow colored screen when a channel gets shut down. Maybe it is the void. And the gumball movie might be learning with Pibby.
I think the Glitch is using Bun Bun as some sort of power source since he was one of the first people to be corrupted! Or the glitch is probably using Bun Bun as done sort of way to make pibby feel upset and lonely so she can give up….
I would have to agree on the perfect anthithesis of Pibby Vs Bun Bun. Regardless of Bun Bun's true nature, whether it be that he is a far too trusting child or relies on those who love and care for him for explanations of the unknown (I mean, regardless of a person's age, how else are you supposed to explain something like a dark, glitchy energy being turning everything into monsters and destroying the world around you?), the concept of the one who grows more mature throughout the hardships and the more influenced one losing their free will to the inevitably...it works way too well, especially if Bun Bun is as young and easy influenced as this theory would lead us to think.
I think pibby would make a great Skylander, would you think so, I mean, it’s the perfect way for Pibby to act more maturely while still retaining the child innocence, and I think she’ll be either the magic element because of her appearance, the 4th wall powers on a kid’s level, and of course her power of love, or the light element because of her light hearted personality (pun attended) and also her power of love, and maybe her SED talk would be to “not always use violence first and use the power of love last!” What element would you think if Pibby became a Skylander? And what Skylander team she be in? Would she make one out of the goodness of her heart, or would she be added in another team?

My big pibby theory would be that pibby and the gang find out that bun bun is the main host for the glitch, and the only way to stop it is to uncorrupt bun bun. Pibby finds out she has a slight immunity to the glitch, cause the show is named after her. She can survive inside it for about 15 minutes. She would have to go on a daring rescue mission to get bun bun out, while not becoming corrupted herself. She can either fail or succed on the first try, hence she would have glitches arm.
While this would explain how characters like strongwilled Samarai Jack or intelligent Darwin manage to resist the glitch and characters like spineless Porky Pig and gullible Fred Flintstone got corrupted, it does make ponder why certain others got infected and didn't. How did Muriel manage to resist? I mean, she's really sweet and between her and Eustace, she's definitely the smarter one, but the entire schtick of the show is that she's easily manipulated by the various monsters that visit them, and Courage has to help. And how did BUGS BUNNY of all people get manipulated? It's completely against his character to do that! Could this be giving hidden depths to some of these characters?
Ok, i might be crazy, but i have a theory. So Rob and the computer are working together to destroy the TAWOG universe (there was an episode where they show random videos or smth). Thats when Rob got the remote in an episode (the episode where Rob was given a remote by a man in a Van). Skip to the end of the 2nd part, Rob goes back in time, and destroys the remote. Meaning, that Rob remembers everything. While gumball and the others don't remember it. After that event, Rob realized that he has been wrong. And wanted to save everyone and warn them about the computer's upcoming attack. But he couldnt tell them directly, thats why Rob pretended to be mr evil. And Turned everyone into human forms. So he can bring them all into the real world. But his plan failed miserably, and when he was about to tell them, Tina smacked him with her tail until Rob passes out. The computer knew that Rob was going stop him his plan, so he sent Rob into the void again. So to cut it short, my theory ia that the computer and Rob were working together, Rob felt guilty, then tried to warn them but failed. Then, Rob falls into the void. But hey, Thats just a theory, a film theory

In an era with the Skin Suit phenomena becoming mainstream in all sorts of big media franchises, Glitched Bun Bun is basically the embodiment of such a concept.
What if bun bun sorta becomes the glitch’s host, sorta like something like venom. It uses him as a life force, the others might sustain it for a bit, but they resist to much, and therefore, it needs to attach itself to something more innocent to survive
I still think that everyone who gets taken over by the glitch thinks that things are not just normal, but extra happy. Thats why they have the smiles on their faces. Its interesting that of all the rick and morty episodes they could use for a pibby moment, it was the one with the parasites that can only create good memories. The glitch is similar, but more in the present. Bun Bun wants the darkness to take over, because that grants him a kind of false world of happiness.

The glitch can do more than three four to be exact making cartoons taller and borderline in the first one in the carnival with the Scooby doo characters so I think this is wrong
Im thinking the glitch is like one of those upgrade changers. Like its trying to make the cartoons different whatever they like it or not. Once it successfully corrupt all the cartoons. It will be able to upgrade all of them at once. This is my theory.
I actually have a cool theory what if the writers did the same situation as Monika from Doki Doki literature Club. They could have it where Pibby would be aided by a writer who her power to stop a dark glitchy plague that throws cartoon realm laws out the window. The only drawback to my own theory is that it would be a hidden way of saying you can still find the easy way out with help from a more powerful being. I also could see Pibby harnessing her corrupted arm with the power of courage and will to adjust some of the glitched code or visuals to call the writers for help as a sort of modern way of someone praying, but to a lower degree because humans pray to an almighty being for answers and aid to their problems. Also humans made the Cartoon universe and that could be the cartoon character praying to the humans to give them a fighting chance to stop the Darkness from fully devouring a full 114 year art of media that has a really big place in our hearts.
I love this theory!!!!! It's not just some OoOoOH! so and so is EvIl when they're shown as the good guys BS! It actually has good evidence and I fully agree with of how Pibby and Bun Bun evolved in different ways. Pibby for good and Bun Bun for evil. Imagin patrick/finn doing a video on this: Since he said that the less mature and easy to manipulate, they can morph there bodies even more, but what about mentally, is it possible characters that are mature enough to not trust the glitch, could become Anti heroes, and change there mindset when they are able too (which probably not gonna be all the time, i'd suspect the glitch would try to gain back control here and there).
I have a theory for pibby the theory is that Bunbun was originally intended to be the star of the show before Pibby was created. However, as the show's development progressed, the decision was made to make Pibby the main character, while Bunbun became a side character. As a result, Bunbun resented Pibby for taking over the spotlight, since it was originally his show and not hers. And so as the darkness consumed him he made a deal how about you help us with corrupt people and we will bring you back your show like it was originally intended so he took and began to corrupt people for the darkness so he could get his show back.
Well the truth is that the corruption is the metaphor but toxic people online when you finally defeat the toxic people you're able to enjoy what it was
