Getting to drive the Mercedes-AMG E63 S on a race track in Europe was an incredible experience. But as I don’t live next door to a race track, the E63 can feel like a little too much power for everyday driving. That’s where the Mercedes-AMG E43 comes into play.
The AMG “43” range provides a nice in-between level of performance that builds on standard Mercedes cars without going to the extreme track-ready power of hotter models wearing 63 or 65 suffixes. In the case of the E-Class sedan, that means you get 396 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque - more than the base E300 but less intense than the 603-hp top-dog E63.
Providing both luxury and sportiness, the Mercedes-AMG E43 is my favorite of the three current E-Class sedan models. But what’s it like to live with every day? We put the E43 through our Why Buy? test regime to find out.

I just bought an E43.. WOW.... just WOW. The interior is insane, 400HP is PLENTY of power, the drive modes work incredibly well, the side bolsters adjust when you go around corners, the Burmester audio system is RIDICULOUS, the ambient lighting is incredible, the massage seats actually work.....well. The car is simply best in it's class AINEC. If you need the extra HP, by all means, get the E63, but for anyone who just wanted a sportier, faster E300, the E43 is perfect. Anyone who says it's not a real AMG has never driven it, is talking out of their ass, and probably can't afford one, anyway.

You did a very good choice sir!The E-43 is the best in the segment!It combines everything perfectly balanced and it offers much better quality that it's competitors.The BMW used to be called the king of the driving and handling,but with E43 Mercedes managed to improve this too and now the car handles even better than BMW as they say...Imagine how much best things you get in a single car.This is Mecedes.This is e43!

Love your vlogs but being a Veteran and a double amputee, car manufacturers must provide accessibility vehicles for us or provide options! I and others would like to see them, I used to do overlanding before I lost my leg and foot so since you are on Benz a 4x4 sprinter review would be awesome!

@@TheGamingAudiophile this lease won’t expire until April of 2020. What I did step up on was paying these bills to up my credit score and decrease debt to secure it ☺️ It was difficult especially with this covid situation but possible with a crap ton of discipline. I went without my other luxuries to secure that one.

So the E43 is really the old E550. Only a LOT more expensive if you want leather, quality wood, and the P packages. All the Assist features make it almost a $100K car if you tick all the boxes. That used to be a new E63 price!

You talk so much about the E300. Is there no E400 in your country? Since the E43 is a AMG-tuned E400, the look to a E400 should be given. Bi-Turbo and 500 Nm at 1.200 rpm take the cake pretty good.

The only thing I cannot understand is how poor the fuel economy is. My old my2000 e55 used to do easily 36 mpg on the motorway and it was a proper v8 with 5.5 litres.

Yes, exactly. The "How's it look?" makes it feel like one of those awful safety presentation that was filmed in 1989 that you have to sit through at work. The presenter can just as easily add, "so, how does it look?" then carry on with the looks.

The only thing that i don't like about this car is the small interior, you have a feeling that you'r driving a C-class not a E-Class, there was a huge difference in the past but now is just a bit.
