The other brand is quite pricy which is an iRig stream. You could use a lightning camera adapter which does not have to come from Apple Store but different connection thru the OTG port. It has to be compatible with your device or it will not work.
For me, i think there is a problem with the v8 connecting with iphones and android. I used my iphone as the accompanying instrument and used my laptop to stream live and everything worked perfectly, the filters, video and audio came out perfectly. the only issue i am faced now with is the quality of video i record with my laptop which is not best for me.

Hello I left a comment on your other video. Sadly my V8 soundcard na yata yung may problem kasi when I tried video recording on my iphone and android phone, it had both defects: 1. yung sa iPhone, I used the original adapter pero it did not capture the vocals(may konti pero super hina, like whisper) and the instrumental is inaudible. 2. used the android (samsung) phone pero it only captured the vocal recording pero ung minus one hindi. 3. I tried using the ipad, the iphone and the laptop as the source of music pero lahat failed to capture ng video recording using theV8 soundcard. Funny thing, when I am recording, ung sound from the condenser mic and the accompaniment is playing well, nabinggi na nga ako dahil tinodo ko ung volume sa V8 haha. pero kapag nag-stop na ung video recording to se the results... para akong mime na nagsi-sign language lang. hayst :( sorry for the lengthy post.

hello! I have tried to record only my vocals but the track behind still sounds for making a song, how can i hear the song without it being recorded behing
I do that sometimes. I do record the vocals but not the music. Easy way is I would use 2 earphones using just 1 side of the earphone to each of my ear. One is connected to the sound card to record the vocals while the other one is connected to the device playing the music. Complicated way is- If you can use garage band would be good. But a bit complicated coz you have to download song from You Tube then convert to mp3 then import to garage band then you can record your vocal while music is playing and you can adjust vocals and music separately. Connecting a sound card to garage band is another set up.
My mic condenser is working while im singing, i can hear echoes and it’s all good and when I review my recorded video, i can hear the minus 1 song but my voice is flat like no echoes, it just sounds like it’s been recorded from my phone’s mic not from the microphone condenser. I’m not sure why.
What phone did you use for recording with the V8 sound card? Did you connect the background music with the cable or Bluetooth? If you used with cable to connect the music, did you connect it to the accompaniment port at the back of the V8? Did you turn the record volume, mic volume ang background music volume knob up when you record?

Do you mean not being heard during live streaming? If so most likely you’re friend isn’t using the right lightning adapter. Why are my audio recordings to my iPad 6 and galaxy s20 through the live pods and the interface port to c port (on galaxy) choppy with hisses and hums but sound good through my old fire tablet 7 through the live pods with no hisses or hums? It records best over Bluetooth to any device. I want to use the live pods for wired audio capture to back up Bluetooth connection. I am starting a podcast and need some assistance. My mic condenser works thru my headphones i can hear the echo etc and i can hear the background song but when i try to record with my iphone i cant hear the mic the echo its just picking up my voice from the iPhone speaker pls help!!
Very common issue is the lightning adapter. Most likely you are using an lightning adapter headphone only and won’t record. I bought my adapter from Apple Store.
Hello!What about using an android phone for recording?i have used three different phones and none of these could record with the v8.i think that happens because only iphone can work with the small jack with three points of signal.That's why you can hear your voice without reverb,because you hear the recording only from the phone.Can you please make a recording video with an android phone?
I presumed another device is used as a source of your background music. The most easiest way to connect them via Bluetooth. Open setting and go to Bluetooth of that device where the music is coming from then V8 should be on the list- tap and pair them.

You only download the “Open Camera” app for android if your phone does not work with this sound card for recording or streaming. Try first using the built in camera of your phone as it has better video resolution.

Yes you can and you can connect it to the sound card using bluetooth as most of the sound card has bluetooth function. Go to your setting from your ipad, turn on bluetooth and you should see V8 or V8 sound card then pair them. So whatever you play from your ipad, you should be able to hear it from the sound card.
Yes. Whatever you here should be the same your viewers can hear. There might be some delay due to signal or internet connection issue. I believe in facebook live at the end of your live streaming, an option appears asking you if you would like to download the streaming you just did or post it and you also have an option to post it in public or private, etc.

Thank you so much for video. By the way i heard another way to connect sound card and phone in order to make a lossless sound record. You can make a connection between charging port of sound card and usb port of cell phone to make a better record. But in this case you should activate your usb entrance from developer options in the settings menu of phone as a audio connection. I Wonder have you ever heard and tried it?
@@jenuds Yes a little bit complicated but if you record from a keyboard you record sound lossles like a professional studio record. there is no any hiss noise in recorded sound or video
Unfortunately i dont have. But not so complicated. Only you need to find a cable or adapter to connect charging port to usb port of your phone. One end usb type b other end usb type b-c or apple lightening depend on your phone. Then you can record with your phone sound recorder or open camera by selection record source as external mic.

Kele AMvibe unfortunately there is no direct monitoring in V8. As far as I know, you can do that in Focusrite. What you can do in V8 recording is Record your vocals only from v8 (don’t connect an earphone from v8 while playing your background music from a phone, tablet or iPad. Once you’re done just sync them, audio output is better.

Same here, I also bought 2 lightning cable from amazon and they’re only for headphone and doesn’t work for Recording so I bought directly from Apple store. My iPhone 8 Plus comes with it and it works for Recording.

Please follow all by the connections then open the built in camera of the iPhone, Set to video then record. That’s what I do in most of my video samples.

Not sure if same thing happened to my husband’s samsung s10+. When I tried to record on it, it did not work at first but when I removed the phone case it works, in short the cable/cord doesn’t fit properly. Please try this first and let me know if it works.
The next video I am going to upload is something like what you are doing but I used an iPhone to record. So setting should be the same, except you don’t need an audio lightning adapter. And you have to connect from live 1 or 2 of the sound card to the headphone jack of your s9+. I will be uploading the video this week or as soon as I am done editing it.

This is very informative po. Salamat po! I am using the V8-II with both apple products for backing track and for live. I tried to use iphone XsMax pro and ipad pro 12.9. It captures the music and mic when I am not recording or going live however, kapag nag try po akong mag live wala pong nag wowork. I am using usb hub to connect the cables to my ipad and i am using a lightning adapter to my phone and everything else failed when i attempted to go live. Ano po kaya ang naging problema po? The 2 red cables normally comes when a sound card is purchased. One cable is to connect from the sound card live 1 or 2 for recording or live streaming. The other red cable is to connect from the sound card backing track or accompaniment then to the gadget as your source for instrumental music. Please note I am talking 2 gadgets, one for live or recording then the other gadget for instrumental music. You can also connect the instrumental music using bluetooth.

It could be the cords you used. Please make sure the Record knob volume is up. I always set mine to the max record volume. Were you using an android or iphone to record?

Sorry to hear that. I am sure it won’t work for iPhone 4 and I have been using iPhone 8+ for my videos. In between there I honestly don’t know what version of iPhone this V8 isn’t compatible.
Option lang po ang audio splitter. Pwede nyo pong deritsong isaksak ang portable speaker sa headphone port at yong headset na gagamitin nyo po ay sa earphone port.

You don’t need an application to download, as I only use the built in camera of my iphone to record or live stream. As long as you followed the connections and Record volume knob is on high, it should work. I am hoping to make a video this weekend using v8, iphone to record with macbook air as a source for background music. Was this your set up?

Did you test your lightning adapter? I suspect up have the adapter for headphone only - which means you will only hear everything but it will not record or no audio on your streaming. To connect your headphone or earphone wirelessly using Bluetooth you will need Wireless Bluetooth transmitter.
