Chaos will never win, but it will be ever present. Gnawing at the side of order and peace, a thorn in the side, pressing against the Imperium of Man. A thorn, but lacking any redeeming rose, but still managing to allure the weak and the traitorous.
The thing that always boggles me, as someone who is happy for every additional day in which Chaos doesn't win, is how much they sometimes seem to do average, despite every massive advantage they DO have. Chaos can flee back to a place where its enemies cannot chase; their launching worlds are mostly safe. At various times, different Chaos Gods can just spew them out anywhere, and even when they are feeling frugal, the Marines should have much of the same technology, so they should be able to exit the Warp in any number of locations, yet they always bogged down, and tried to exit via the Cadian Gate. There are whole regions where the Imperium has no sway, and any could have a world with air, good, metals, and workers, where Chaos could build up a force if they just had a mind to. Lastly, powerful as the Imperium is, it isn't usually JUST fighting Chaos; there are umpteen other factions, and all of them are at least also fighting the Imperium; the lore can really suck at making it look like most of them are also fighting each other, which makes the Imperium look like it can body all of them, without help, even as several internal factions also vie for dominance, yet even this beleaguered Imperium can fend off Chaos, most of the time. It gets silly. The Ruinous Powers should be unassailable masters of their space, and of time; able to disgorge whole battle groups of their forces wherever it makes sense, from staging areas that cannot be assaulted, who should be able to use DAoT super weapons they still have from ages past, and they don't, and I don't believe it is JUST bad writing, from GW, to keep the game world functional, and "even", to sell more models, and books.
😂😂😂 Just hearing this voice tell Abby that he needs angels tears and the sound of A feather tickling Khornes ass in order to get some bolt rounds and the old talons sharpened, MADE MY FUCKING NIGHT😂😂
This is more than science fiction , this is a story of our modern day and what happens around the world. Good way to put it covertly , only those meant to understand it will ever do.
Some HH book refers that Horus's victory will burn out the human species within centuries, so the current setting actually sustains relationship of chaos and humans in an astonishingly morbid way until the galaxy goes kaput.
this right here is the biggest flaw in the argument. its assuming that the goals of chaos are the same as the goals of the imperium. that they both have the same 'win conditions' (to wipe the other side out) but thats not the case, they might both have the same 'lose condition' (being wiped out by opponent) that they are trying to avoid, but their 'win' conditions are very different. the imperium is trying to wipe out chaos, but chaos isn't TRYING to wipe out the imperium. in fact they NEED the imperium to survive, because thats where they get their slaves, their resources, and their new recruits from. its where the chaos gods draw their power and recruit new acolytes. without the imperium (or at least some form of 'free humanity') chaos would eventually atrophy and die off. the goals of chaos are to simply spread chaos, to keep the imperium so hard pressed for resources that the populace continues to be oppressed and desperate, which inevitably that desperation leads them to fall to chaos. ironically the harder the imperium tries to fight against chaos, the stronger it becomes. from that perspective, the 13 crusades were all a resounding success, because after each one, the empire would have become just that little bit more oppressive, that little bit more tyrannical, demanded more resources and more recruits in the planetary tithes. all of which only creates more desperation, which in turn feeds chaos. the goal of chaos isn't to win, simply to keep the game going as long as possible, if not indefinitely... now, arguably, I suppose its true that an infinite goal is ultimately unattainable, and the longer it lasts the more likely that one of the other players will figure out a way to force you into a lose state. but other than the tyranids and maybe the necrons (do the necrons have emotions that feed the warp?) so long as there are mortals alive, chaos will still be around, and if your the last player on the board when the game ends, thats still a win.
Obscene freedom over righteous bondage. Chaos marines, as one would imagine, aren't very numerous and have to survive hell or worse. These are veteran brothers of ten thousand battles.
(Crying laughing) I went to go make a smart ass comment about this, and for some reason, my phone pulled it to the next video. I bet the people in the comment section are like what the hell is he making a chaos comment for, about a nid video. Ahem …. I could not help but notice the parallel between chaos and the politics in this country.
this money approach makes ever more sense when you remember that when the first plastic set was built & sold there was no money to make plastic molds for the bad guys, so they said, take these miniatures, paint some one color, the other ones other color, it's a civil was (chaos didnt exist then).
I think thats just what chaos is, its simply... chaos, it needs the imperium and the other xenos, however they seem to love the imperium simply because of their... nature, the other races more have a collective and one sided mind, orkz fight and kill, the tyrannids just assimilate, the eldars are like humans but to the emotional extreme, the necrons are just boring machines to them, the tau well... but the humans the imperium is just what chaos loves, the favorite play things, they are strong enough to resist and struggle entertaining to watch to the chaos gods. I really think they keep them around simply for entertainment. What is there left to do if you kill your playthings? If you REALLY think about it chaos already won, the seed is in each and every creature even the most noble fall, however the fallen can never rise again.
we know why they are too fuckin Imposible for the universe not to Kick them out of the warp Those gods never created the warhammer universe some god would kick them out
Chaos does not need to win, all chaos needs do is wait. Look how well chaos profited when half the corpse-emperors Space Marines, Mechanicus & Fleet followed Horus. Never make the mistake that the ruinous powers truly think like human beings or even other xeno sentients. But chaos will never win in GW's lore because of plot armor. Also never forget that chaos is older than Warhammer ... it was all borrowed
@@zeeger7141 Theres a bunch of old stuff, the most notable of which would be the Eternal Champion series of books. You know, Stormbgringer and Elric, the original White Wolf world killers. Haha Have fun reading if you decide to check it out.
If chaos wanted to destroy the imperium they would have already, but then chaos would lose because the chaos gods are dependent on men. Chaos already won and are still winning. Their main goal isn't to destroy the imperium, but to keep the Great Game going. Xzeentch actively nerfs himself for the great game, nurgle is content with his cycle, slaanesh is non chalant, and khorne is content with the simple ongoing war also.
Games Workshop had to learn the hard way that letting chaos win to add space marines to a fantasy setting was a stupid business decision. Hopefully now with the return of warhammer the old world games workshop finally learns a cardinal rule of business if it’s not broken don’t fix it.
You make many fine points... but are ultimately wrong. Chaos won Warhammer Fantasy, Chaos is the main evil opponent in all Warhammer, and Chaos have never been more dominant in 40k then now.
Chaos has nothing but time to play the game, while humanity doesn't. if one of the gods were to completely win, the others wouldnt exist and the universe would be completely different
And GW ruined the entire setting just for Woke brownie points and they're in chaos and the good lores aren't even owned by them because of legal issues like Malal , Clone Fulgrim or the Insurgent Severan Dominate yeah....... we're not getting those stories back anymore........ Sad really
No faction can EVER win 40k people have invested thousands of dollars on table top armies. They only add new factions. that's why the universe is kind of boring
