I am from Uttrakhand and belongs to the Bhutiya community of MILAM Glacier which share it's border with both Tibet and Nepal. My ancestors had a strong business relations with Tibet and Lhasa. All our earning and trade was linked with both India(Bristish India) and Lhasa, prior to independece. Because of the Chinese invasion in Tibet we lost our businesses in1959 and so the relationship. I wish to revisit my ansestoral Salt and silk routes where the trade used to happen. I hope the tension end soon between Nations and Tibet become Independent nation like before. Jai Tibet Free Tibet

I really felt sad in the last part, where it shows how many tibetians left India because of their struggles, government should make law that tibetians will get same benifits as an Indian citizen.
Actually, when H.H the dalai lama said that the next female reincarnation should be attractive, he said so as a joke. It's a line which’s meaning got totally lost in the translation process. Just as sometimes a light humor in hindi sounds weird, un-understanable in English, like wise, that line sounds sexist and materialistic in our language, but tbh it's a line to be taken frankly as H.H Dalai lama is famous for throwing jokes at how materialistic we mundane people are....
I was just going to make a comment on the same. I heard his speech where he told this as a joke , and many females were present . Nobody thought it was sexist , but some "self proclaimed feminist" who wanted media hype totally made it into an whole issue . And obviously youngsters on social media who dont check fact kept on sharing .

That is a political lie in the West and India. Two living Buddhas cannot be choosed to each other. All Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama were appointed by the highest leader of China (the emperor) and issued golden books and golden seals. The new living Buddha (must be a child) must also kowtow in the direction of Beijing, kowtow to the emperor's portrait, and kowtow to the emperor's long live（Emperor Ten Thousand Years） wooden sign. The sixth Dalai Lama was killed because of civil strife. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty directly appointed a lama in Beijing to be the new sixth Dalai Lama and sent an army to escort him into Tibet. In other words, there are two people in the sixth Dalai Lama. Later, civil strife broke out in Tibet repeatedly. Even aristocrats colluded with the Gurkhas to occupy the entire Sikkim Kingdom and a part of Tibet, and the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhunpo Monastery was even burnt down. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty sent a general, Fukang'an, led his army to Tibet again and expelled the Gurkhas. Then Emperor Qianlong formulated a new living Buddha reincarnation system based on the inheritance of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Yongzheng. The core of this system is the "Golden Bottle Draw lots" system. The famous monk found a few reincarnated soul boys, and the ministers sent by the emperor wanted to supervise the whole process. In the end, the selected children must be approved by the Central Minister in Tibet and the emperor’s envoy. Then, the emperor's messenger asked the emperor of China for approval. The emperor issued a decree to appoint a new Dalai Lama or Panchen Lama, and at the same time issued a golden book and a golden seal. Only such a living Buddha can be recognized by the people. The West wants to appoint a new Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama to deal with China. Then you have to kidnap the top leader of China and ask him to sign the chairman's order（Equivalent to the emperor’s imperial edict）. Otherwise, the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama without the imperial decree of the Chinese emperor are false Dalai and Panchen Lama. And the current Dalai Lama was appointed by Chiang Kai-shek, the former top leader of China. (Ma Bufang, chairman of Qinghai Province of the Republic of China, was selected from three children. Please note that Ma Bufang is a Hui Muslim) As for some Western forces, they say that China’s current leaders are atheists, and therefore they have lost the power to appoint Tibetan Living Buddhas. So,being highly populated India much like other such densely populated nations try to develop with large scale mass manufacturing to pull people out of small scale farming and poverty into skilled industrial work and into the middle class. But for this they need industries to be established.Setting high minimum wages seems right and good,but it leads to low industrial and economic growth in such countries and as a result low employment opportunities which leads to slow reduction in poverty or maybe even more poverty.This leads to potential workers turning towards far more exploitative informal industries or small scale agrarian work,but these two industries don't grow much and inevitably create a cycle of poverty in such highly populated nations. The argument is that temporarily keeping low wages to boost industrial growth will create a skilled workforce by training and employing from the informal and agricultural sectors and reduce pressure on the agricultural industries allowing for the rapid economic growth of both manufacturing and agriculture,which down the decades would improve the economy and could transition a low or lower middle income country to an upper middle income country which would naturally improve the living conditions of workers and the people after which minimum wages can be set when the economy is mostly made up of skilled and professional jobs with a lot of room to grow. This is the kind of growth countries like China,Vietnam,Japan engaged in and Bangladesh is engaging in,and India has been trying to engage in. [On the other hand it's good for developed nations as their economies tend to mostly have a majority of the population in professional jobs that have plenty of space to grow and their industries are already very wealthy and strong enough,and that welfare and higher wages would improve their efficiency without leading to lower employment due to the sheer sizes of such economies) [India is a lower middle income highly populated economy,which is why the question wether it is bad or not is relevant.I explained the pros of this but there may be cons that I'm unaware of since most of the cons mentioned tend to be short term other than the middle income trap theory which is not much of a con but a result of massive increase in the middle class and thereby political awareness and demands for greater welfare before an economy becomes upper middle income(which is what lead to those periods of terrible exploitative work and pressure we saw in news over middle income economies like China in the 2000s and present ones like Vietnam)].

Tibet was defenceless when they got invaded. Aruanchal not so much,although China won't even dare trying it today,If the economic,R&D and industrial gap between India and China continues to grow,then they may be able to do so far down the decades.Let's hope it narrows rapidly over the coming 2 decades. But now,it's too risky and could provoke world war 3 or Nuclear anhillation so they just use it to bully India or try to exert their soft power propaganda on the people over there.

Yeah Gorkhas had to give up Tibet because tibetians asked help from Qing Empire but still gorkhas didn't loose neither Qing won, so they signed a agreement that Nepal had to give up Tiebt but will instead get money annually
@@amritneupane1992 that is not factual. The fine was paid for one time and then it was stopped by the 8th Dalai Lama since he didn’t knew anything about the treaty. Which resulted in second Gurkha-Tibet war in 1792. Nepal on the contrary paid tributaries to Qing after the war of 1792
Long ago, the two nations Tibet and lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the hans Nation attacked.
