EXACTLY. The 2A isn't about hunting, sports shooting, even just "self defense" per say. It's about keeping the COUNTRY in check. It's about the PEOPLE being able to take back control of the government if needed. For EVERY. SINGLE. LAW ABIDING. US CITIZEN. It doesn't matter. Race, creed, whatever. The government is SUPPOSED to work for the people. Not the other way around.

The best LE departments in the country are ones that have active employment of citizens into their fold. From everything to manhunts to emergency situations. In some places they still have bounties, you can work with them by providing radio operator or armed perimeter security for police as they raid drug cartel cells. They don't pay much (if at all), but they aren't afraid of bringing the regular citizen into their fold to force multiply.

Most ranges have RSO programs. If you show up to be an RSO or otherwise clean up the range and usually pay a fee of a couple hundred dollars a year, they give you a key which lets you shoot at any time, so you can show up on non-public days. If this time investment is not feasible for you, buy a gas blowback airsoft gun and turn off the lights in your garage and do that.

Totally agree with your stance on the 2nd Amendment. Isaac Botkin from T.Rex Arms really did a good job explaining this interpretation of the 2nd Amendment should be the actual standard, because that is how it was originally drafted. For anyone questioning this, the 2nd Amendment was actually inspired by previous English common law, where not only were the citizens required to have weapons of war, they were also required to have the gear and tools to accompany it, such as armor. They understood that the 2nd Amendment wasn't just about owning weapons, it was about being equipped for war.

@felixdewinter3484
@felixdewinter3484 2 года назад
Yeah, but all of that ownership of armor and weapons and what not was used in the service of the English state when a national call up came up, it wasn’t used to overthrow the English state and that tradition comes down to us today in our militia laws and 10 U.S.C. What these gun influencers ultimately get wrong in their interpretation of the second amendment is they think it protects their right to engage in sedition or insurrection against the state. Nothing could be further from the truth and history even confirms this when we study Shay’s Rebellion or the Whiskey Rebellion.
@reaganbryant4287
@reaganbryant4287 2 года назад
@@felixdewinter3484 I see your point and I would mostly agree with you. That's why I think its most crucial to have a firm and clearly defined interpretation of the second amendment. You're right, it doesn't give us a right to engage in those actions against the state. However, I think its a deterrence for the state to prevent it to getting to a point where the government oversteps it bounds into complete tyranny. The ownership of these things don't justify the outright use of them in any capacity. But maybe we could call it another check and balance on the state from ever reaching a point of complete authoritarianism on the people.
@felixdewinter3484
@felixdewinter3484 2 года назад
@@TATargets This not a video in which to understand the 2A better as the 2A doesn't protect an armed gang which clearly are advocating for. The "militia" has always been under the control of the state whether federal or state level. This video is purely for entertainment and not meant to be taken seriously as any serious scholarly work on the history of the 2A and what it means.
@felixdewinter3484
@felixdewinter3484 2 года назад
@@reaganbryant4287 I would posit that you're looking in the wrong place to find authoritarianism as its not found in the government. It's found in places like Amazon or Google or the out of control health insurance premiums individuals have to pay to get access to what is popularly known as a human right which is healthcare. The government is complicated and to label all of the government as tyrannical is misguided and flat out wrong. Because while the government has Bernie Sanders as one of its Senators, or AOC as a Representative, it also has people like Matt Gaetz, or Marjorie Taylor Greene serving in it too. How can a government that is so divided politically along partisan lines be somehow "tyrannical" as one side is absolutely tyrannical and the other is checking that tyranny by fighting the other in Congress? And what does that say about you who voted these Senators and Representatives into office to represent your and their constituents interests?

Talking about culture, this generation seems very concerned with equality. And peoples eyes are far from equal. I want to tell a story, how profound the experience of using a image intensifier was to a dear friend. One night, I was able to convince a old friend to join me on a night walk. When we got out of the city and I tried to change the topic from politics, to the beautiful nature that surrounds us, he seemed awfully unenthusiastic. So I asked him more questions to figure out what's going on. After all it's not every night where the milky way is in clear view. And I quite enjoyed the mix of scenery with wide fields, some woods and wild animals, that seemed rather relaxed despite us in viewing distance. So it turned out he simply didn't see any of the things I see. And he basically just navigated by my voice and hoping not to trip upon anything. So I pulled out a night vision device, that I use to aid my phones camera some times. To my eye it gave no advantage, except taking away colour and details and making me blind for a bit after using it. Anyway, suddenly he described trees, fields and how he suddenly knew where he is by familiar landmarks. There was great excitement in his voice. And I had to explain how the device could see those things in the dark. I told him, that it's a rather bright night and the device just amplified residual light. I also explained some drawbacks, like monochromatic vision. The concept that the night is not simply dark, was settling in his mind. And he asked me where the light comes from. I simply told him to point the device up and see for himself. It took a bit until he realised that he is looking at millions of stars surrounding us all the time. It had a profound impact on his world view. And he excitedly talked about that night for weeks, to everyone who couldn't escape in time. And I was very happy to be able to convey my experience to my friend. Words alone simply can't do it. But that simple home made image intensifier made it possible, so he could have a nearly equal experience.

it doesent matter if you should or shouldnt. nor does it matter what you intend to use it for. it shouldnt even be a topic. if you want it, you should have absolutely no issue aquiring it or using it. there should be no dirty looks or questions pertining to it. it needs to be as mundane as asking someone if they use a gas or electric weedeater. that it matters not at ll to anyone. it should be a non issue. Question you’re from pa ? I’m looking into getting nods but I don’t wanna blow 8k for something I’ll only be able to use at a range that allows night shoots would I be allowed to shoot at my buddys place at night or would I wind up in trouble thanks if you end up replying
@TATargets
@TATargets 2 года назад
It 100% depends on your location. Some places it won't matter. I really can't say because it varies wildly and depends how populated your area is.
@tackytrooper
@tackytrooper 2 года назад
There are plenty of ways to train with nods that don't involve shooting. Go on hikes at night with them, to get used to using them in dynamic environments. Practice dryfiring and weapon manipulation with them in your house...things like basic loading ARE different under NV, and need practice. The actual shooting portion is probably the part that requires the least practice, ironically, since pointing a laser and pulling the trigger is quite an intuitive process even for noobies.

Dear friend. I have a few subtle questions if I may! I'm asking before I know how much the bino NV cost but if I just has my helmet and bino NV could I still be well equipped to fire at any threat both foreign and domestic with my iron flip sights for my son's rifle?
@tackytrooper
@tackytrooper 2 года назад
Irons are, generally speaking, not usable under night vision. The reason is the sights just won't focus correctly. You need, at the very least, a night vision compatible red dot (something with good light transmission AND dedicated night vision settings, such as an Aimpoint T-2 or a Holosun AEMS.) Beyond that, if you can afford a laser aiming module, so much the better, they are easier to use but come with their own tradeoffs. These modules generally also include IR illuminators which are frequently also necessary for identification of longer range targets.

Why would a civilian need such training? A civilian would need Night vision training if he or she has planned to be capable of having the ability to see In any threatening event during non daylight hours. Especially if that includes armed conditions with rifles or pistols training is a must..Given that over 200,000 hours of our life is spent at night. I don't see why anyone that has any type of valuable possessions) or even wants to protect his or her family wouldn't want the capability to see at night. Its an edge that gives you an advantage. Dont let Civ,leo, or Mil tell you how to protect yourself. After all its you that is going be the target or the one in the middle of a crisis. So train and prepare as you feel is most applicable to your situation with no shame or second thought. God luck God speed

@@nelliedawg82 It's a lot of money but it depends what you believe about the future. If you believe a shtf situation isn't actually likely in your lifetime, or you don't plan to engage whatever the threat is when/if it comes, then yeah it's a literal toy. And so is your rifle if you're training for a situation you don't believe is likely to happen. You personally, are playing pretend. For those who think something could happen, and want to be prepared, being able to see in the dark is a literal necessity. No less than a car. A good car is more than 4k and comes with repeated costs, yet we consider it a necessity for daily life. A one time purchase of 4k for the average person, should they believe it a reasonable cause, is doable. Not emotionally easy, but doable. I'm currently watching vids on the subject to see if I myself deem it necessary for the same reason you're scoffing. I see your reasoning, but I also see theirs. None of this, not even the affordable Ballistic eye protection and camo clothes, or the fun hours of drilling at the range, is supposed to be pretend with literal toys. We're wasting THOUSANDS if a shtf event doesn't happen. It better be something the citizen actually believes if they're dedicating all the time and money because this is a "hobby" where $100 sounds cheap. If your goal is to be cool, find a different way. Because not only does no one think this stuff is cool except other uncool people, but it will break your bank when you have a real life to live.

@@nelliedawg82 You're going to keep your head down at night. And so are those with morals, and the timid. But the strong people without morals aren't. Even strong people with morals will be corrupted by the testing of a true shtf situation. Night vision, being popular now, will inevitably fall into the hands of the bad, and the bad will inevitably prey at night while the good are sleeping. If you don't have night vision, you'll die to someone who does. And no, you won't be able to fall back on your training or prior service in that moment. Strategy and tactics beat skill, and being able to see when your enemy can't means you don't have to do much to form a good strategy against them.
