Why Climb Pidurangala Rock? Amazing Views of Sigiriya 🇱🇰 

Imagine seeing these spectacular views of Sigiriya and then realising you’ll need to get up at 4:30 in the morning. This is the view from Pidurangala rock during sunrise. If you’re staying in Dambulla or Sigiriya then this should definitely be on your bucket list.
If you’re wondering why so early? Well it’s because we have to drive from the accommodation to Pidurangala, which is only around 10 minutes, then a fairly challenging hike to the top ready for sunrise at around 6am.
