Sigiriya is one of the wonders of the world it's amazing . It's hard to describe how old and big it is. Went there in 2014 took some wonderful pictures. Would go back again.

Don't get me wrong, because of your title is 'Exploring Sigiriya', I thought you have been really explored that. But you guys have only explored that from pidurangla rock 🤦🏽‍♂️. I know it's $30 dollars and expensive, But you don't climb to Sigiriya for just a nice view. Sigiriya is an unisco world heritage and one of the best archeological site of the world. There are lot of things to explore. There are ancient paintings, Mirror wall with poems and statements of people from 8th century to 14th century, Ancient pools, gardens and many more. And it's more worth than what you have to pay 🤷🏽‍♂️

I Bet you cant climb sripadaya (Adams peak)🇱🇰🇱🇰

love your series of srilanka 😊❤ but i must say if you want to have experience more scenic views in sri lanka. do not go with typical touristic locations. there are lot more beautiful places. i suggest you to do camping night on top of mountain. If you want to know more about unique locations let me know. Stay safe enjoy your vacation ❤

Pidururangala is better than Sigiriya for tourists Sigiriya expensive, Sigiriya is good for those who want to learn history etc 😊

Great video . But its really sad that you didnt climb the Sigiriya Rock (Lions Rock). It is the main attraction of sigirya and its called the 8th wonder of the world for a reason . The architecture , frescoes , cooling system, mirror wall, water supply and drainage system and the Kings Palace is truly incredible ..😥

I'm not sure about the price of Fried rice , but until last month Wheat Flour was in short supply due to import restrictions. Every food item prepared using Wheat Flour was super expensive even for a middle Class Sri Lankan as many restaurants had to purchase from black market.

The astonishing view from the Pidurangala rock top and its surrounding hills in the early misty sky and then the sunrise between the misty clouds gave us the most scenic beautiful sunrise from this rock hill along with the Sigiriya rock. Kudos for both of you guys to see this moment in the dark and chilling dawn of the early day.👍👍🙏

Please try to go safari in menneriya national park you can see soo much wild elephant and also be careful walk in jungles becouse wild elephant also in sigiriya area

Just my opinion. I dont even have a tuktuk ..im student ..Not all tuktuk guys aggressive or bad.. if you can bargain with them you can go with them for a fair price.. they are charging high prices from locals too. No surprise..But because of fuel pricing increasing and fuel quota...And considering their waiting times in queues ...It's reasonable that they increased the price and they can't go to the limited price for per kilometer.. it's their only job. Past days it was one of most comfortable and easy way and used by many public..But nowadays don't go bcs of the price etc. Bargain and help them too. As far as I know their are more than 800,000k tuktuks in SL.. if half of them hire it ..You can guess how many families depend on them ☺ nice video guys.. invite your friends to visit SL ️ too.. thank you for the lovely video ... : )

Pidu ran gala means Offerd golden rock When king KASHEPA accqared the sigiya rock form budhist monk to built his fortress and Palace ,budhist monks has to shift their monestry to the golden rock . (RAN GALA) BECAUSE KING KASHEPA OFFERD IT TO MONKS, AFTER THAT RAN GALA BECAME A PIDURANGALA. Sigiriya area ,lot to explore very historical and one of the best lands scaping & city planing techniques used in the ancient world. I said this every tourists channel that they are visit to pidurangala instead of sigiriya.. price is too much for tourists even its world heritage site. I think local price is rs.100 (less than 0.5$). I think government has to be rethink about tickets price for sigiriya(lion rock).

really beautiful video as always!!! unfortunately I haven't been there in sigiriya because it's on the way to anuradhapura and you definitely need two or three days to explore all the surroundings and I never got the chance to visit there because of that!!! that restaurant is of course too expensive you could have got two huge fried rices that will feed four people for that price and you will even have change for an EGB 1.5L mega bottle!!! 😖😖😖😖 but none of the less it's the experience as you say that counts!!! and that EGB is a Sri Lankan classic drink!!! in our childhoods our parents gave that drink to us to cure stomach ailments!!! but nowadays it has become a mainstream drink just because of the marketing an all!!! there is another elephant house classic called orange barley that you should try!!! it has somewhat a smooth and unique taste it is sweet but not that sweet that will bind your lips together and if you have some acid reflux or something like that orange barley is the drink to have in Sri Lanka!!! it's not hyped as much as EGB but I really love that taste!!! brings back so many fond memories!!! if you have a chance definitely try an orange barley you will not be disappointed!!!😇😇❤️❤️ PS - there is another drink called Orange Crush that's not it it is really acidic!!! ask always for orange barley that is the drink you should have!!!

Great vlog!!! Was there electricity when you were climbing pidurangala in the dark? Very brave to face the monkeys, insects, possible stingy creatures hiding under the rocks, uneven slippery rocky narrow pathways, overhanging branches all of it in the dark..! 🤗🤗🤗 must have been quite enjoyable 😊

Considering it's a fairly difficult & in places a very steep climb, I have always wondered how those dogs don't seem to have any problem getting to the top of Pidurangala rock. They may very well know a secret route.

You must go to lions rock, its one of world's wonders,, there are beautiful paintings and ruins of a castle at the top,, It's a wonder how they managed to get water to ponds at the top of the rock from water sources below without pumps,,,

I don't believe it is legal to list prices in dollars rather than rupees. Because you can't own a restaurant that targets just to tourists. Locals have the right to eat at whatever restaurant they choose. As a result, prices should be in rupees. Tourists do not need to pay in dollars, therefore they convert money at the airport. So please avoid such places.

Dabulla cave temple is a very useful place to visit

I do worry about the food..normally for the roti there should be 2 to 3 curries at least.normally any restaurant served two to three curries..i do appreciate your thoughts about trying Srilankan food......yeah, if you're in Srilanka you need to try Srilankan food as much as possible....enjoy guys🙂👍

unfortunately, we cannot recommend elephanthouse EGB anymore as the quality of the drink has gone downhill. EGB now taste like watery sugar solution. five to six years ago you can feel the kick of the dissolved ginger when you drink but now it is just a sugary solution.

Not climbing Sigiriya and climbing only pidurutalagala is a mistake I see lots of vloggers do. The ancient gardens/ruins at the bottom and the view during the Sigiriya climb as well as the 360 degree view at the top easily beats Pidurutalagala. No comparison.

It's made not by any kind of god. But à King named kashyapa. It was his refuge to get à way with his younger brother who wanted to kill King kashyapa. I am sure there is a way in site thé rock. As King I don't think he has to do like us today. But à english man , he has got some fortunes of thé King and closed thé entrance.

Now you have paid 1000 rupee and did not see all the beauty, culture, and even science that lies in Lion rock. However I do agree that lion rock is much too expensive!!
