Honestly thier both good just cw has less updates and gets boreing faster than lc So in way it depends on what style game you like but their both good games that souldent be compared
Something I compared it to is the people that compare Minecraft and Terraria - They're completely different, and only by searching with a _very_ specific eye do you see the similarities... which are generally just basic game mechanics.
@@briishcabbage568 yea, that's true, the video kinda sounded like I was shitting on content warning but I was trying to get at the point that they are different XD (I prob could have done better ngl)
i agree with you for the most part but the colors in content warning are pretty cool in my opinion, it makes the old world feel eerie and uncomfortable, so when you get back home you actually feel "at home"
Would've been better if there were colors but they were really washed off. It would've given the feel that people used to live there but for sone reason they abandoned that place and left it to rot.
the main difference is that content warning was published by landfall games which makes games that are supposed to be fun and not serious. lethal company takes a more horror serious game which is supposed to be scary
what people dont get is that content warning is an april fools game. landfall didnt mean to have it be this main stream (at least im guessing) and now they are just running with it.
@@Chair_Pizza agreed, people are probably just comparing them because "oooh horror game with original ideas and cool design styles and funny lookin dudes and goofy haha moments"
@@Chair_Pizza Dude that disprove ur point. You're saying it "doesn't have the horror aspect" because well, it is not a horror game. I wouldn't even consider the views you have do get in content warning a quota, it is more like your means of earning money to improve the quality of your videos. The main goal is to create a thriving youtube channel. If some people like the game better, just let them like it. There is no real reason either game is better, they are both fun to play and unique. Also you haven't played the actual game. Your case for it being repetitive is completely false, you can buy tons of new items and skills as you get more money/progress. While it may only have two maps, it has lots of items to make tons of funny encounters. You don't understand the point of the game is to capture funny clips, so the non-camera people are basically actors playing around, not bored the whole time. They are both great games in their own category, none of your points actually prove that lethal company is better, it is just a rant about, "Anybody who doesn't have my exact opinion on these two video games is wrong and I hate them." Sorry for yapping, but this video really pissed me off.
@@JCC647 that's what I was saying, that they shouldn't be compared with eachother because they are two different separate things. And IF they were to be compared then content warning shouldn't be considered better
I think content warning shouldn't even be taken seriously as a horror game, it has some scary elements but it's mostly just a parody game of youtubers and LC, it was made by landfall entertainment, the people behind some of the goofiest games, not only that it was made in an anniversary of sorts on april fools, which they usually make even goofier games than what they usually do, (take TABG for example, it's a battle royal with tabs graphics and you can literally stick a giant magazine to a pistol) Content warning is just a really fun game for late nights with your friends, the videos are even memorable if you're not trying to maximize views what i think is that Lethal company is better at being a serious horror game and content warning is just good times with your friends i really really like both of these games they're one of my favorite horror games ever Also content morning
i know this video was probably recorded before the update, but content warning now has 3 maps and 13 more monsters which is a great upgrade. Also, a challenge system which makes the game a bit less repetetive, and in content warning you now have cosmetics that you can grind for, making the game more replayable
let me ask you this more maps? dawg we have more than 10 of those 13 new monster? big monke we have 13 monster already PLUS mods that add monster such as "moai statue, redwood giant" challenge system? dawg we have a mod that literally makes bodies be able to be sold to the company not even including content warning has no way to fight back, THE SHOCK STICK ONLY STUNS NOT KILL cosmetics? we have 6 suit, AND THAT'S NOT INCLUDING THE MORE SUITS MOD (this is a joke please don't cast testicular torsion on me this is a joke please don't please please)
After the huge update in content warning it basically fixes most of its problems also the reason it's mostly black and white is so that 1. You can see your friends better 2. Colors that are different like orange stand out
from what I understand lethal company and content warning are two vastly different games. No need to start a war over two games that have a somewhat similar premise. Just because two horror games where you play with your friends and go to wacky planets are popular at the same time doesn’t mean there needs to be a conflict over which is better.
Me and my friend played both games and agree that content warning is better, this might be just our opinion. I just feel like being able to record yourself interacting and running from monsters in this scary old world and then view it later is so cool and unique. Also just the contrast between when you're in the old world (where you're terrified) and when you're watching the footage back (when you're laughing your ass off) is perfect.
i feel like the main difference between content warning and lethal company is their use of RNG. lethal uses it for replayability, while content uses it to remove skill
@@MATEITHEBOY not seeing it personally- it's a very rare mob that has distinct and loud sound cues that would alert you of it's presence; and it's not even highly perceptive, so you can just hide from it. Although if it does see you, there is not much you can do, though there was once that I survived an encounter with it seeing and attacking me. Also you get a very good amount of bonus views for filming it; and filming it attacking is even more profitable, which you can use strategically by dying to the Slap Man while filming it and then getting the camera on the next day (except of course if it is the final day); or you could potentially sacrifice a teammate, if you have a spot that the Slap Man somehow won't reach.
I think now with updates Content Warning stands more of a chance, 13 new monsters came, new maps, sponsorships, and more came out now. I think a big thing is that because Content Warning is newer, it doesn't have all its updates, so who knows, maybe it will get better than Lethal Company.
If i had a quarter where someone made a video that said lethal company is better than content warning, i'd have 2 quarters, it isnt much but weird it happened twice right?
Well in content warning the fun comes mainly from the social interactions between people and their reactions to what's going on lethal company comes mainly from the monsters/environment
Content warning should add smaller cameras you can buy that have like 50% of the og camera lifespan so you can actually split up and film more monsters. Oh and the disc isn't processesed until everyone throws their cameras in the extractor. At the end there will be a bigger movie with the clips simply stitched together. To not make the mini cameras broken, the maximum you can buy depends on how many people are in the lobby -1 (2ppl = 1 camera, 3 ppl= 2 cameras, 4ppl=3cameras) and you cannot equip more cameras at once, no matter the type. It also costs 500$.
Lethal company was made by one person which makes it a lot more impressive, plus it’s fun, and content warning is original with its AI patters (also more frequent updates). So listen, they are both good games and content ain’t the new lethal but it ain’t worse either
Yeah content warning shouldn’t be compared to lethal company. It’s like the Anton blast and pizza tower situation. Both are beautiful and really fun games! Though similar, they each and different and have different factors, they shouldn’t be compared as one being better or not
Both games are absolutely awesome, it generally just depends on the player itself. If you want a fun, wacky and semi-scary experience with tons of monsters and customizability of your character then content warning is for you. If you want a more a serious, scary and a varied horror game with each maps having their own difficulty then Lethal Company is for you. In my opinion I lean towards the wacky and fun side so content warning is my thing, but that doesn't mean that content warning is better than lethal company and vice versa. Either way keep up the good work chief
A big factor for me as to why I enjoy Lethal Company over Content Warning is that, in Lethal Company, splitting up is generally seen as a good idea, to find more scrap. While on the other hand, in CW, seeing as the camera is the main asset to protect and bring back, splitting up is highly discouraged, as there's no point in going anywhere alone. I think being alone in LC ushers in so many opportunities for the environment to take control and make you uncomfortable and afraid. Being alone gives you that sense of "I need to get out of here with what I've got before something gets to me" which can make a LOT of the atmosphere. In CW, yeah it's fun to mess around with your friends, but the 'horror' aspect isn't really there. The monsters are more shocking as opposed to scary. Not to write an entire review here, but I see criticism to your vid and just wanted to piggy back off of some things you said and give my take. TLDR; LC has 100x the atmosphere, horror elements, and fear factor CW ever will.
@@Chair_PizzaMy sentiment exactly! I think you hit the nail right on the head in your explanation of that factor in the video. It works for their game, sure, but it's unfair to compare this game to LC, let alone say CW is better, when objectively, LC is better every time, largely due to that aspect. Great video, keep it up! Love your editing style! Only change I would make is the duration of the title cards in between topics, I'd maybe crank it down a bit.
splitting up is discouraged but the slime monster is specifically the foil to that and the reason you can't just leave your buddy behind is because you lose money
i think maybe content warning is black and white because you are so deep into the ocean that colour doesnt really even exist unless its brought down there in the form of something like an LED
I'd say the only reason I enjoy content warning more is simply for the goofiness I have with my friends. lethal company had, and still has it, but the ragdoll physics in content warning just make it so much funnier when playing both are their own games, and have their own things.
I just wanna say one of my biggest problems with content warning is progress isn't intuitive its never clear what kind of camera shot actually gets more points or what is better or worse so getting better at it feels intangible and makes playing the game less intrinsically fun. but when you scan an item in lethal and you found a rubber duck worth 80 a painting worth 100 and two brass bells not only is that progress tangible but you have a whole new strategy to getting back like if its stormy maybe those bells aren't worth dying for compared to getting the other stuff back or maybe you'll risk going back for more etc there's just a lot more engagement and thought going on there and I feel like I can get better at the game tool add an edge to whether things pay off or not. Playing content warning all I feel is, what am I doing, am i aiming the camera right, how the hell do I make consistent jumps. when you jump with object physics instead of a set height I'm just fumbling in the dark and there is no consistency or variety to get better or strategise around. It has vibes sure but that only lasts so long it needs a level design you can engage with more than just fumbling it all having good control and clear goals and rewards makes those moments more tense because you want the new equipment because you know you can use it and there's no chance the physics ragdoll screws you up trying that new equipment then you just feel stupid for buying something that doesn't give you an edge and it going wrong isn't your fault its just because of the ragdoll physics screwing you over. My point is that lack of Control makes trying to be good at the game like trying to ge good at slinky racing. The fact it doesn't have that control makes it more like throwing toys at a wall and seeing how they fall but the progression framework is copying lethal when that only works when you have concise control. If content warning wants that sandbox toyboy feel it should just make all items free to try out because nobody is going to have consistent runs when they can't even run consistently on their own two legs.
I’m just gonna say this contact warning is basically a parody of Liesel company and they are both good games by themselves and have two different objectives and different interactions with players and monsters
Yeah that's kind of the way I ment it, I probably said a little bit too harshly. But I like both games I just don't think the game is worthy enough to be called the new lethal company
people aren't left out in content warning, it's the job of the non-camera operators to do lighting/boom mic or just getting themselves into the action. it's just a different job, while lethal has 4 people doing the same thing (maybe a ship bossman), which is why i almost prefer content warnings gameplay loop. though lack of map variety really sucks
funniest part of all of this is that landfall didnt make content warning to kill LC. they made it as a parody of the game and it blew up IMMENSELY. Then again that's what happens when you launch a co-op game for free as a relatively popular indie company
L take, the monsters in lethal company are so much more creative’ interesting and complex. In content warning the monsters only really do 1 thing while in lethal company the idea is fleshed out and explored to its fullest, which leads to more interesting interactions with the monsters.
???In content warning, their is huge variation with monsters and how you avoid them, interact with them, and how you film them. For example, the grenade guy vs the fire horse. The grenade guy throws grenades or explodes themselves leading to you to either bait him into blowing himself up, or keep a safe distance. You can even pickup the grenades and throw them back. While the fire horse will burn you into oblivion and all you can do is run... Have your opinions on which game is better but the monsters in content warning are much more unique.
Honestly, in my opinion, I like Content Warning more. It generally has a more active and friendly player base, (not saying Lethal Company DOESN’T have one, and yes I know more players are on LC than on CW on steam.) they have a discord server for good communication, great updates, (which are quite constant) and you can generally get about 100 hours (on both games) out of it.
I agree, never played content warning, but it seems cool, but i don't think that it's a "new lethal company". It just doesn't have the magic that lethal company does, but it's still a nice game, the fact that monsters can blend in is so cool. that also can happen in lethal company with giants blending in in trees or bracken in the darkness, but its not really the same as the content warning ones, still I prefer lethal company overall, but content warning is good. just not better
@@Chair_Pizza There are two locations where you can find scrap. A factory and a mansion Practically the same as content warning but without an annoying map in the way
Honestly, I don’t really like how people compare the two games all the time. While they both have a similar premise of going to scary places to do stupid things to meet a 3-day quota, I feel like the two games are very different beyond that. Lethal company feels more like a horror game with comedic elements, whereas content warning feels more like a comedy game with horror elements (at least that’s what I think). Also lethal company has been out for a while now and was being developed for a good bit and has had multiple major updates to make the game better, whereas content warning has only been out for 2 months and has only had one major update, so content warning is bound to get better as more updates come. There are tons of other reasons why I feel like they shouldn’t be compared too much at the moment, but I just feel like saying ones better than the other is not a very fair comparison since they are both going for very different things, and they are both technically unfinished, since lethal company is still in early access, and content warning is bound to get a bunch more major updates down the line.
Yeah, I went a little bit off track with the video, but the main point was to explain how they really shouldn't be compared to each other and that content warning shouldn't be considered the new lethal company
@@Chair_Pizza god dayum, I know it's the summer, but like that was hella fast; also what is your favorite content warning and favorite lethal company monster?
content warning shouldn't be compared to lethal company you say in the comments which is right. ill read off some things at the stamps "intro" "objective" "opinion" "monsters" and the other stuff you mentioned "Atmosphere" and "repetitiveness" ill start with your intro you are right content warning isnt the new and better lethal company, lethal company and content warning arent the same game, but the same gimmick. lethal company: spawn on ship with friends, route to different moons, get in facility/mansion if you arent on march which has 100% facility. dont make quota you die. like you said. Content Warning: "also go on a ship" it is not a ship its a diving bell, i know you think its the same thing but diving bell, goes underground. ship (or space ship) flies and routes to moons and lands. that doesnt sound the EXACT same "your goal is exploring the ocean" its the old world beneath the actual world, you record monsters for spooktube, and you dont make the view count, you wake up and try again. intro is done. lethal company DID come out before content warning. content warning is inspired by lethal company. lethal objective (ill say to shorten): meet quota, collect scrap bring them back to the ship and launch off to a different moon. Warning objective (ill say to shorten):meet view count, record and face monsters and survive and repeat other people in warning can get a chance unless the camera man spams and take the camera for himself the horror element does get creepier because each day you find more places and more monsters, and other people can help the camera man by guiding him to the diving bell or give the camera man light to see without using the camera film I Might Explain more later or tomorrow to continue what im trying to say, also you were a bit harsh at the beginning, but its alright your just trying to say that content warning isnt the new lethal company. i already explained to a longer video about the same topic but the other guy says lethal company is better. THEY ARE NOT they are the exact same thing, go to spooky place, do your job, go back, repeat 2 more times, sleep redo for a different place. also in lethal company. you do get bored after you play all the moons, even artifice or embrion. you dont have to continue reading after this point Edit: this is also what i said to the other video i watched: i like both, they're basically the same thing, and if i could or i was smart which 99% of the time im not, i could tell you how much they are the same thing, and content warning had a MASSIVE update that did ruin some things but added more fun to content warning (plus there is mods on content warning so with mods you could tell whos dead and even if you didnt check if they have any oxygen or if they are moving) i just disagree but i do respect your opinion, not everyone likes the exact games. i like both but lethal company i play more because idk its easier to play? edit: content warning is a fan game of lethal company, not trying to rip off, thats why its such different, its inspired so it has the same gimmicks, but different layout, theres the little friendly man on the ceiling, he catches you when his "catcher" is invisible or transparent, and is let go by throwing the object at him, it may be inspired by the bracken, the bracken sneaks up (transparent catcher) it snaps your neck (killing you while it holds you) and if you look at it, it walks away (throwing the object to release victims and also i know if you look at the bracken for too long he'll get mad) im not making a point im just trying to say that content warning isnt lethal company, it isnt bad or not fun, its different. not entirely though. sorry i have a degree in yapanese. neither do i know what im talking about i just made this entire thing for one point sorry for making you read all of this its mb
if the game (content warning), wasn't free on the first day, i would have bought it. i dont wanna get the game because i missed the day to get it free. since i didn't get it free that time bc i didn't know, now i do not want it at all.
From what I can tell Lethal Company has WAY better sound design than Content Warning. The monsters also seem to have significantly more variety in their mechanics in Lethal, granted I haven't seen the new ones for Content Warning, but from what I've heard they often end up fairly similar in how you deal with them. Although I do genuinely hope Content Warning can grow to become an amazing game as well.
I agree that it is all about opinions because content warning can have specific types of people who love the black and white atmospheres which is a huge addition to their gameplay, lethal company has colorful colors which may fit in the category of horror the game has chose. 🗿🍷 mhm I officially spent 3 mins on a yt comment...
content warning is better as a stupid party game then actually trying to play it,If you actually try to get high quotas it gets annoying way faster then lethal. The idea of you watching the movie afterwards is so genius tho it feels cozy
My biggest issue with content warning is the movement. Its so fucking scuffed it litterly gives me a headache. Walking is painfully slow and once you bump into something your camera instantly gets thrown in the dish washer. Sprinting is a bit better but after 2 seconds your stamina is out and you need to wait like 10 seconds before it comes back. Slopes are just strange, you ragdoll randomly and unbinding your jumpkey is better then accidentally pressing it and ruining your momentum. I know its a small april fools game but movement is my fav part of games and if its cluncy and stumbly in a game about running from danger whilst still remaining close enough then it might have failed a bit
clunky ragdoll physics is landfall's signature it can be found in so many of their games and brings a charm to their games few others can match it's not meant to be taken seriously it sets a goofy and lighthearted tone
Here's my thought process. Even though the two games are roughly similar, they are different enough to where you can't really say "This one is much better than the other, and if you decide otherwise for even a second, you are a fool" For example, Bioshock 1 / 2, and Bioshock Infinite. 1 and 2 takes place in a claustrophobic, underwater city that is really dark most of the time with messed up creatures like splicers and big daddies. Infinite takes place in a much less claustrophobic city in the sky with regular old robots and police officers. You see a vantage point in 1 / 2? You gotta take the stairs that are far away. See a vantage point in infinite? Just jump on a skyline and you will be there in a few moments. So in other words, while Lethal Company and Content Warning are very, VERY similar in some cases. "Take a ship to a scary place to gather stuff and escape alive." it's different *enough.* See a monster in Lethal Company? Stay away from it if you know what's best for you. See a monster in Content Warning? "HEY FRED, SEE THAT THING? POKE IT WITH A STICK!" In Lethal Company, you can trip a fellow crewmember or abandon some heavy items if you are running from a monster. In Content Warning, you must keep the camera with you, and if the cameraman dies, *go find it* Keep in mind that I haven't played much Content Warning, only did singleplayer, but I think I understand what the general gameplay loop would be.
To be honest, the only times I actually get scared of seeing monsters in LC is when I play solo, when you're playing with friends, seeing monsters is just like seeing them in content warning, solo or not, it's funny because your friends will probably die in some goofy way that gives everyone a laugh, same for content warning in multiplayer
Both gud (edit:tf you mean players with no cameras are bored you can just goof around you take things too seriusly also the monsters in content warning dont just have a certain spawn point they random ITS ALWAYS FUN I DONT EVEN HAVE IT AND IM ALREADY HAVING FUN WATCHING PEOPLE GOOF AROUND AND FALL INTO THE VOID YOU ARE JUST PUSHING BIASES (i think) also did u play content warning? Cuz sounds like u didnt)
I have played, also I said nothing about the spawn points of monsters not being random . But yea their both good and shouldn't be compared to eachother
I mostly agree, although I think you we're a little harsh on Content Warning, especially about the colours. You literally glow a couple different colours because of the screen on your face, allowing other players to notice each other at a glance. The colours are also meant to make you feel alienated, like you aren't supposed to be there, and like life hasn't been there for years. I also believe that Content Warning was at least a little inspired by Lethal Company, if it wasn't obvious. Even if it is Landfall, the similarities are just really uncanny.
I mean idk, I just think the video camera alone makes it way funnier and goofier. I never really played Lethal Company because it's UBER scary, if I wanted UBER scary I would play like Alien Isolation, but if I wanna run around screaming at the top of my lungs with my friends, Content Warning is way better for that.
I like how everyone in this comment section are just shit talking about Content Warning when the actual purpose of this video was to talk about those people who kept saying that this game is the new Lethal Company
Yea, the point of the video wasn't to say that content warning was worse than lethal company it was meant to say that content warning shouldn't be compared and called the new lethal company
