Nature (Doffy because of Trebol and such) Vs Nurture (Corazon Because of Sengoku) Edit: lol i commented this before i watched the video and i just got to 4:18 soooo lol i mean i was right but XD
Corazons death hit real hard in the anime when he used his fruit to silence law and you see him cry silently and his voice comes back and I was like damn he's really gone. Definitely one of the very few moments that works better in the anime
And he also tattooed a heart to his chest… and he also named an attack after Corazon’s devil fruit ability… he really misses him, and he’s a little bit obsessed too 😅
You mean "sad", right? You didn't really look like a cruel person who would say "dead" to such a beloved character. Or are you really refering to me as dad? What are you, my son from the future? For now, i'm not planning on marrying anybody, meat does come to mind, but meat doesn't last long enough for it give birth a son, and so far, my relationships with meats have never been romantic nor sexual 🤣😂
Donxijote Rosinante/"Corazón" was a great character who linked the backstories of Law and Doflamingo. His nonchalant and comedic timing was well done. And his Devil Fruit abilities were a rare Paramecia power that many wish to have. Wished he met Luffy. Now that's a crazy combination.
Saaame i knew he was gonna die but then again i was spoiled on who was gonna die and live, like ace's death and sabo surviving the bomb, and i still cried
Law reminded Doflamingo of a younger version of himself, and Corazon may have seen Law seen as a younger doffy too. Which may have been another reason for Corazon to care so much about Law initially as Law gave Corazon the opportunity to save that younger doffy that he couldn't do before.
Corazon is such a well written and lovable character, idk anybody that doesn't love him ❤️ When Sengoku told Law "Do not try, to justify a person Love" that quote him so hard 😢
I don't remember who said it but I completely agree with Corazon being one of the most liked Character in the One Piece Series Despite being a Celestial Dragons himself . 😭😭😭 .
Lowkey want to punch a wall to express my joy from hearing that you will make an analysis of Law and Corazon's relationship, but I am a reasonable person
I think sanji's backstory is sadder like cmon sanji was getting knocked out and has broken bones on a daily basis and he is treated worse than a animal but law is the 2nd saddest have your family killed from soldiers because they think the disease is infectious?
You know what I just realized? The IRONy of Sengokus being Corazons father figure. The reason Corazon died is because of the Celestial Dragon system that he protects, and hasnt taken any action to defy or break it down. The very government and system he protects (well, protected), led to his own suffering and pain.
The only problem i had with his character is I couldn’t understand the sudden love and kindness he had for law. But, when Sengoku said, don’t try to find reason to anyones love, i kind of understood, and i started crying 😭.
I'd say it was because he's kind. He empatised and didn't want him to die, he says he only could feel compassion for him even when he stabbed him because he understood the pain and knew law was worse than he'd ever be. He doesn't want anyone to suffer, Corazón's heart is just that big. No wonder then why his name is corazón, heart.
Lits himself up by accident Its all part of my role you know,i do that because i want to...not because i do that by accident *goes down star, slips and lands hard on the ground, now fully burning*
that last scene you used, the 愛してるぜ one, hurts so much because Corazon really loved Law as his own child. When I watched it first I didn't understand the differences between 大好き and 愛してるぜ until a couple of years later that I decided to re-watch this part. Thank you for this, Corazon is of my favorites charas, easily top 3
Beautiful video. I think you did justice to Corazon's character and sacrifice. I sometimes debate whether Law or Robin had the most horrific childhood and always lean toward Law. After seeing this, I think it's because of Corazon. Law had two families that loved him -- his birth family and Corazon -- and tragically lost both.
There are so many little details (story vise, DESIGN vise, etc.) in this flashback that linger in the main story even now, it's amazing. I don't recall much of these in the other SH flashbacks so vividly aside from all of them being SAD. Law's flashback is a writing masterpierpiece (I'm probably sound biased but who's going to stop me, right? haha)
What made Ace's death sad for me, was seeing Luffy breakdown the way he did. The whole ordeal and the lead up to it. The relieve when Ace was freed, and the despair after.
These two are literally my favorite characters in One Piece and this is my favorite backstory Beautiful video Ohara, I feel like crying for Cora-san all over again❤️
These videos are so well done, I'm really glad I found this channel the other day, now I can give further examples and explanations of why one piece is the best anime in my opinion!
I also think that Corazons DF applies to the "heart" theme as well; When words cannot be used to comunicate then one must FEEL the answers. So by being silent he could speak with his heart more clearly. Plus as an additional barb against Dofy... "Silence is Golden, while Duct tape is Silver" and what does Duct tape have in its making but strings (mesh like and coated but still there); literally placing a barrier that Dofy could never surpass that made Dofy "2nd place". While that would not matter to Corazon an ounce it would be unacceptable to Dofy to be linked to that comparison... also this just struck me, but Dofys first compatriot was Mr. glue right; so string and adhesive being on the same side helps drive home the whole comparison more right. Oda and his puns, where can't you find them.
@@nothere3982 Can't help it sometimes. Had a Fridge magnet that said "Silence is Golden, Duct tape is silver" some sort of shortened version of what I said. I do wonder still if Oda is aware of the word humor that I have personally only seen in English?
@@kodytiffany5686 I'm not sure if he is of this saying specifically, but oda has always done word puns and added double sense to a lot of his work (probably you already know as you've addressed it, but it's so cool). I used to follow a person who translated and broke down many pages of his work in Japanese and let me tell you those are damn loaded, he even did puns between English and Japanese translations making both have interconected meanings while also tying it to other several events or meanings. Also, he is really really knowledgeable in literature and history (and more subjects), all of his characters have names of renowned people, many stories are based on ancient literature (Jttw is one), philosophers, historical events. It's amazing, I hope this does not sound fanboy-ish because he's a real prodigy that decided to put his efforts on making a fictional tale of this caliber for us to see. Also I am glad you shared your comment, I love Cora and it made my day. Ty
Even before watching this, I was so so thrilled to see your take on my all time favorite character in One Piece. I never expected to see an analysis of Roci, but I’ve loved your takes on other characters. He's smart, caring, funny and as determined as any of the D clan. More than that, his actions and relationship with Law show one of my favorite lessons in life. The kindness of one person can change a life. Law wouldn’t be who he is now without Roci's unwavering love. Rosinante is such a good egg and this video made my day. Thank you Ohara. :D
Cora-san will never die... I always have him in my thoughts.. I cried so much when I saw him saying I love you Law.. I cry whenever I see his beautiful smile cause he was such an angel, such a lovely character that I couldn't protect T^T We love you Cora-san, you'll never die cause you're always in our hearts T^T ♡
Corazon is one of my favourite character's in all of One piece. I love his character , personality, comedic moments and power. His relationship with Law and his death were brilliant yet heartfelt. Plus I loved his voice in the dub by Ray Chase . The man who voices none other than Bruno Bucciarati
@@Ohara-the-Fox cuántos idiomas hablas?😱😱 Y en que ciudad de Alemania estás? Adoro tus videos! Son super geniales! I noticed things which I would have never notice in one piece without your videos! Great content! I already loved one Piece but with your analysis I started to love it even more 😊😁
I loved him since he was first introduced. Thanks for this video, It’s perfect! I can’t wait to show it to my nephew. He just finished the Corazon arc.
Law can easily betray the mugiwara if something goes wrong But thanks to his experience with Rosinante, he will sacrifice his own life for Luffy (and understand the meaning of D. in the process)
Oda really is a writing genius and it shows with his support characters that add such weight to the narrative. You really feel it with this flashback amongst MANY more peppered throughout the story.
0:13 Something about Corazon's finger snap with the music felt like such a good sync to me. Anyways, I loved this man. It's a shame the good die young.
To me Trafalgar law is true brother of Rosinante than than doffy ever was....even in such short time we fell in love with corazon ...with such a short screentime he give us very important info ...even in his death he protected law... I think many had underrated corazan death. If corazon wasn't there Law could end up becoming just like doffy full of hatred & evil personality
I don't see Corazon's character's as a father figure to Law as well. He is more like an older brother to him or an older good friend (as an alternative). It doesn't sit right with me when someone mentions they had a father and son relationship, I don't see it at all in the way they behaved around each other or talked to each other.
@@padrenuestre, it’s more like how Shanks was more of a father figure to Luffy than Garp ever was because in both the Pre-Timeskip and Post-Timeskip Luffy tells everybody he meets how much of an impact Shanks has had on his life growing up whereas with Law’s and Corazon’s relationship he was more like an older brother to Law in both the anime and the manga.
I literally started reading One Piece a month ago, and I have decided to pause for a bit after binge-reading 802 chapters. After reading everything at such a fast pace, I feel the need to stop and actually process the big picture. And your channel is perfect for that. I love how you analyze every character and their importance in the story. The way you analyze every character so deeply and heartfeltly just made me love One Piece even more. I have watched your videos for three days straight, and I keep getting amazed at all the details you drew and how you form every sentence so beautifully. Just wanna shout out to all the hard works you've made! Keep it up!!!
Just right now I finished watching reaction mashups of this arc, and you upload this video! this is a sign.... I WILL REWATCH ONE PIECE STARTING TOMORROW!!! (one pace) ワンピースが見ろうと思います!!
Ohara, you are doing a phenomenal work and I wish to you the very best. Your editing skills are lit and the analyses are fantastic. Rosinante is one of the greatest of all times, and even with minuscule appearance, he managed to leave a long lasting impact to the readers/viewers. Another character that appears very little, but leaves an impact (obviously I am not comparing them to the slightest, yet still I loved his character) was Señor Pink. It would be great to have a video of him as well. I think this type of narratives bring readers and mangakas a bit closer, because the readers understand -like in Katakuri's story too- that regardless the side one is called to fight for, several factors and motives lead up to the formation of one's character. Theoretically Kata and Señor were both enemies, yet the honour, integrity and care they are depicted with certainly puts them on a different level to other enemy-villain figures. In Naruto one can see something similar, and without spoiling anything for anybody, Naruto's father is shown only briefly but is so kind and genuine that steals our hearts (like the legendary Rosinante) and Zabuza is such a superb villain that gradually one considers him an exceptional character, even though he's an enemy. Keep up the fantastic work and thank you so much for your contribution to the community, your level-headedness and your content.
I wish I could be as kind hearted as Korazon or as good of a teacher as Ohara, I learn a lot from your videos and I wish I could teach the ones around me of the one piece psychology that you teach us
Well said, your video soothe my heart about the characterization of Corazon. It triggered me so much last time in TotallyNotMark's One Piece review vidoe when he said he found Corazon's story "not that interesting" ;(
Corazon is my favorite One Piece character ! He just realtes to me so much. On how much i care of others. No one should have to carry that pain. And Corozan held his own even with his brothers malice that could corrupt anyone
I'd just like to point out how amazing Corazon's design is, he looks like The Crow and has a black feather jacket with a heart theme that works perfectly as Doflamingo's brother (bird brothers) and his card suit executive title. Also Mona turned into a "harpy," just gonna throw that out there too.
Sigue adelante.👍
Bro... It's crazy how the Don Quixote family was a reference to that one book from the 1500s Don Quijote (The crazy old man) and Rocinante (The horse/Pawn) flip around a few letters and you get Rosinante and Don Quixote...
Hey man. Your videos are from the very first one I saw instantly my favourite videos about one piece on youtube period. I love how much you see in my favourite anime that I didn't. There's so much to learn and so much more depth in the series, watching it through your lens and i love it so much. It's as if I can not point to a physical location cause I don't have the arms or fingers to do so and another person helps me pointing there for others to see the beauty. You do that for me with words. Regarding to one piece. I also love the music so much! but there's also something I want to critique. For example, I really REALLY wish you would not only put the sponsor of the music into the description but the actual titles of it as well. I think it also serves your channels since I would Download the music then and listen to it while riding my bike almost daily, which would make me think about you and your channel during the day. Basically it's some form of marketing for you for free if you did so. The other thing is that you build up SO much Emotion during the videos. And then, you strategically put ads exactly in that, so people keep watching. It definitely serves the purpose there of gaining what is to be gained through ads. But it also downgrades the absolute super quality of your work! I really hope you understand that. For example right now I was so deep into it, it was unreal. Then the ads popped up (~20-25secs) and after that I didn't even finish the video. I began typing this comment here if I think about it. In my opinion the ads are placed well for short-term financial gain. But it disrupts your viewers and with only the click of one button it diminishes hours and hours of work you put in to a way smaller experience than letting people get into it even deeper. I would really suggest you either start an online shop with merchandise and start or end your videos with talking about that. Or put the ads in the end of the video, mainly because there is not that much of a loss in audience from 50% of the video watched to near the end. But the experience of the viewer is a much more intensive one, therefore giving you more watch time in the long run and i would also say in the large scale it makes a difference in how many referrals your channel gets. In each case, you really do great work. PS: I really love how you give us the opportunity to fast forward to the real action in the video. Given this freedom, i find myself watching the whole video from beginning till end in each and every one of your vids. Knowing myself, i think I would have skipped a summary about what I already know if I weren't given this freedom (this freedom of choice is especially felt cause you put the exact time where to jump to in the vid and make no secret about it. You even mention it with your voice, not only through visuals). Aaaand last but not least, your casual jokes are Gol D. It's awesome. I can not even point my finger on it. You do so much funny stuff in there. Being it with your voice, or how you interrupt yourself man hahahah. Gotta laugh even now. I love it. You make the video as if it was a dialogue. And you also read our possible reactions very well. So it really feels like that. A dialogue. I bet there is so much more going on in your videos and if so, I'm sorry that I didn't see it all. In any case. I loved every single video of yours since I found the channel a few days ago. And i watched quite some hours already :D What I want to say is that you better remember that when feeling pressure or stress to keep up that quality consistently with your next video. Understand that even your personal lowest would be awesome to the viewer. High quality content here. Glad I found it. Peace Edit: The main reason I think an own online shop (or even talking directly about a sponsor of the video) is that YOU can then control the smooth transition from ad to video. And knowing how much consideration you personally put in your work, having actually absolute control over how the ad is presented, i could swear you will find so creative and nice ways to do so. I can already imagine that you presenting a sponsor will be entertaining as well. And, it would definitely serve your strengths!
I keep coming back just to watch the first minute of the video (and cry a little), pure masterpiece. I'm not saying the rest isn't as good, it IS good. It's that the first 60 seconds touched me the most, probably the choice of music helped with that too. Anyway, this is my favourite video of yours!
Ace died in the arms of his brother in the bosom of his family, saving his brother from death while Corazon died at the hands of his brother, gradually dying alone, trying to leave a little time for Law to escape and poor Law, who again lost a person dear to him. He was not some kind of superhuman who could restore a broken heart he did not have some good devil fruit he could not use haki he died from his brother and a simple pistol just like a real human and a real hero
All of these good things have always been present in almost all the good characters in one piece. But the main thing that made his death hurt for me was his joyful and happy nature. Through his strawhat-ty nature he just seemed to fit in one piece. (This is also my major problem with jimbei).
