i think he can still hear though because he listened when cora san was secretly talking to him when facing doffy. i think cora just made other ppl not hear law but law could still hear his surrounding

@@kimchiparrapio8942 That is true, but I am talking about how the audience couldn’t hear law’s crying, meaning that, when the people watching could hear law’s mourning, it meant corazon has passed and couldn’t use his calm fruit to keep law silent. Sad way to let a viewer know someone is dead😢

When I can i always look at the news, doesn't matter what I'm doing at the time, it's a sad part of life but we owe to those people living those moments to listen to what's happening to them and try to help when we can. @@parisbrannigan1009 Hmm well, personally I agree that Oden's flashback is also one of the greatest in One Piece, but for me it's not up to the level of some of the Strawhats and Law's. Like Law's, it feeds from previous flashback stories, but I think that Oda's story telling was way better with Law. First of all Oden's flashback starts slow, most people, myself included, weren't that much into it until Whitebeard appeared, from that point on it just got better and better, but Law's story is absolutely great from start to finish. Also for me Whitebeard, Roger and the journey to the One Piece had way too much influence into why I liked it instead of Oden himself, I only grew to really love Oden as a character when he came back to Wano, you could say that the same thing happens with Corazon taking the protagonism in Laws story, but unlike Corazon Roger and Whitebeard have their own very long stories separated from Oden, Corazon is fully intertwined with Law, therefore, it feels more natural that Laws flashback is Law and Corazon story, while Oden's sometimes felt like the story of Whitebeard/Roger with Oden on the side. Last but not least, while Oden's death was possibly the most epic thing I have seen since the "nothing happened", it's not even close to how emotional Law's flashback got me, only matched by Robin, Chopper and Nami 's backstories. Obviously I'm just talking from how it felt for me, it's completely understandable if someone disagrees.

Yes to a point, but I think he's too close to be able to co-exist. He parallels Robin, Sanji, Chopper and Franky (at different points of his story), just feels too close. Also his story is pretty much done, short of a huge sacrifice I expect to see in this arc. The thing about the Straw Hats, is their stories are not done, they are all progressing both separately and together. Law as crew, would be dead weight and slow their progress

@@crazylarryjr oh yeah. I don't think he will be a Straw Hat, but his flashback really competes with them, its even more interesting than Jinbei, Zoro or Usopp's (though I think we will learn more from Zoro and Usopp, we really don't know much). Hopefully we get something similar from Kidd.

"I love you" with a funny face, his most sincere love that he ever expressed to someone. One could even argue that his love for law was even bigger than of his to doffy. "I'll die smiling. Because if you ever think of me in the future, i want you to remember me smiling" the last smile he ever did. And the narrator ends the chapter with, "a parting gift from a friend, a smile" 🤧😭😭

Some other similarities between Law's story and the Strawhats' : - Chopper: Both were hunted down and considered monsters. - Nami: Both Corazon and Bellemere were marines, both were shot dead in front of their adoptive kid, both last words were declaration of love. - Robin: Both were child survivors of a genocide, both were hunted down and considering monsters, both lost their will to live and affiliated with an evil warlord for a place to stay. - Sanji: Both were locked up, both had physical ailments (in Sanji's case, more like his siblings are too strong) - Luffy: Both saw their sibling being burn to death.

Plus Similarities between Robin and Law : this two were working under Luffy Big Bad Antagonists before(Crocodile/Doflamingo),Plus Law/Robin have purposed in the group,one by specialty in reading phonegliph to find ancient weapon and the other to be sacrificed as a reward for eternal life

In the anime Corazon's death really works with the implement (and therefore lack of) sound. Law unable to hear himself cry and when finally able to is drowned out by canon fire as if fate protecting him from being noticed by doflamingo. That and law being able to hear himself means he understands that that was the moment Corazon died. It's such a strange moment because you want to hear law cry as a sought of contentment or relief especially as you know its coming and it feels satisfying when you can finally hear him cry despite understanding that it means corazon is dead. That and the score really makes it a great scene.

You forgot both Chopper and Law both made an honest mistake which helped lead to their mentor's eventual deaths, Law seeking help from what he though was the Marines, and Chopper getting the poison mushroom thinking it was medicine.

I always feel that Law’s fear for the cage is so similar to Robin’s fear for Buster Call that you can’t help but want to save them from their fear. I also love the concept of fearing something because you experience it when you was young and became so obsessed about it because it is so relatable.

i love how corazon died with a smile in his face like he was a memeber of the D. and it was even more symbolic, cuz as opposite to doffy, he truly accepted the fact that he wasn't a "god" or really above anyone. And in his final moments he resembled the very same people that oppose gods. Also that smile might very well symbolise their lack of fear in deaths face, lacking fear of death is the greatest opposition to "gods" since they use that fear to control people's actions.

What I mainly like about Law is that his yin-yang dynamic with Luffy. Like Law, Luffy have very similar backgrounds. Where they differ is that Luffy had a choice for the most part. Law's entire life in a simplified matter was "do this specific thing or die".

I would compare Law's flashback with Robin's really. For both characters, they have unknown intention that goes on many arcs before their own. Their arc is tied to the lost century in a very direct manner. In the flash back, they both met someone from the enemy side which will protect and care for them. They both are saved by a hero marine that wish them to live freely and with a smile, they end up dying with a smile too. Both their arc ends with them, fleeing a buster call... as kids in the wild... alone but fighting to survive. Their whole life decisions and journey is explained by the past they were carrying.

@@andretorres700 To me, Law's is definitely a lot better. Oden's was pretty meh (minus Roger/Whitebeard) until the last 4-5 chapters and even then it is most memorable for boiling in oil if not really Roger's part. And there's the sad problem that Oden is no longer with us so it's probably more accurate to call it the scabbard's flashback.

I recommend you trying using the Reportbutton that youtube indeed possesses. Law’s and Robin’s backstory are similar yet different and also my favorites. But outside of the straw hat backstory it would be: Law, Oden and Doffy (even if he is such a villain and we love him for that)

I hate kid law's voice, he is a kid but sounds like an adult. Senor Pink's was the most unexpected flashback, the guilt of hurting someone you love is the worst feeling. Some think it's being selfish, but when Senor Pink said he wanted to see his wife smile just once more, it was too much to handle.

Even Robin's flashback was also pretty good but with Law it provides more context to Law as a character and to the overall story.So I think it indeed is the best flashback for me.

Robin would rather die and protect the ONLY people who treated her as a friend than wait for the inevitable of betrayal that she suffered for 2 decades. Law was ready to let the disease end his life while destroying anyone out of anger and emptiness since losing his family, friends and people because of the disease and the World Gov./World Nobles. Different persons but share similarities. And Luffy did listen their pain through their voice and decided to stand beside them as a true friend. Thanks for this video and enjoy the last month of 2020.

Please make an analysis video of the brotherhood between Luffy, Sabo and Ace. One of the most heartwrenching episodes for me was Sabo finally remembering everything and then his reunion with Luffy. Too many tear jerkers all around. Oh. And other character analysis/break-down videos which I think would be super interesting would be on (if you haven't made them yet): Smoker Dragon Sabo

One piece has so many great and good written flashbacks that anyone can be content with having any as favourite. The choice of quality it gives, man. My favourite as many others is Oden's boiling (not that you asked). Great analysis!

@@pas-kal6823 This. Oden's flasback could have hit harder, but I personally wasn't invested in his character or the scabbards, so it failed to touch me emotionally as it supposed to it seems. Also, to me Oden's flashback was a bit rushed in some parts. Maybe anime will add some flavour when it gets animated, we'll see.

I Love this series! You Made rewatch and reread those moments and now with the knowledge it feels such much more amazing! While rewatching the enies lobby arc, I noticed how great the "usopp leaving the crew" scene was! Maybe could analysis this moment. I mean we see how much Luffy grows as a leader, Zoro stays "literally " behind luffys back all the time and how alle the other strawhats react! I would love to see your analysis about this moment!

For emotional impact , no one can beat brook's flashback at least for me but storywise is oden's flashback. Overall all of the flashbacks are top tier

Brook's backstory is unique in the manner that Brook wasn't a kid when he sailed off to Grand Line. While everyone had to lose their parent figure and some their whole country, Brook lost all of his friends he had sailed for and cared for a long time. Also, as an adult, Brook knew of sadness and death beforehand (the crew even had coffins at ready if some of pirate members were to die) but it doesn't make it any less dramatic to lose everyone you love and care for.

Ah yes. This is indeed a masterpiece of storytelling, and I don't think it has been topped yet. True, the big revelations further down Wano shook me to the core but in terms of the emotions evoked and the overall style with how this backstory was "painted", it still settles there right on top.

I just watched Law’s backstory last night, and it was honestly the first time since Luffy’s that even after it was wrapped up nicely, I wanted to watch more. I already knew what happened beforehand, but Corazon still immediately became one of my favorites. I could probably watch an entire story based on Law’s perspective now.
