Why Damon Never Wanted To Be A Vampire 

Damon is my favorite from the show😍 ..I always felt so bad for the stuggles he faced and the fact that he came around to making amends with his little brother always brought me to tears cuz that took serious strength of character

Yeah it sucks what Damon went through dude spent 145 years trying to save Katherine and she was perfectly fine she didn't give a damn about him, some people say everything Katherine did was for survival but what she did to Damon and Stefan was not survival, she destroyed their lives and turned them both into vampires just because she could, yes the circumstances on how the Salvatore brothers became Vampires is a little complicated but the fact remains Damon and Stefan wouldn't have become vampires and went through everything they went through in their unlives if Katherine had never snaked her way into their lives but also maybe you can thank Katherine because if she hadn't shown up Stefan and Damon would have died a long long time ago and would have never met Elena so there's that

Damon was always the most interesting character. We watch him do terrible things, but still wish for him to find happiness.

He did want to be a vampire of his own free will to be with Katherine and then wanted to die instead when he thought Katherine was gone completely in the afterlife.

Damon has always been my favorite from T.V.D He survived being punished (burned) from an abusive father over missing money he didn’t even steal thanks to his cowardly mother Lily who eventually abandoned him..after getting over heartless selfish KatherineDamon finally fell in love and was happy with Elena/vice versa I.M.O he is sarcastic brutally honest bad ass brave character which is fine with me!!

Damon never wanted to be a vampire… if Katherine was dead..Damon had no choice in giving up his vampirism.. Stefan made that choice for him!! The books. All 9 of them are so different than the show…

Okay but I’m not sure why people are feeling sorry for Damon. Katherine NEVER told Damon that they would be together. She never told him to wait for her. He knew she was with both him and Stefan. It was his choice to wait for her and maybe he should not have pursued a woman that was clearly into his brother.

No Damon never wanted to be a vampire. In 1864 he wanted to die while in transition. But Stefan urged Damon to drink human blood. Damon was depressed over Katherine 'supposed death'. I didn't like Damon one bit.

When I was in my teens i was 'team Damon' but now I'm 'team Stephan'. The only thing that never changed is that I never liked Katherine.

Oh really damon didn't want to be a vampire. They why did he willingly take katherine's blood. If he really didn't want to be a vampire then he should have killed himself after he became a vampire
