Based on the fact he admitted at the end of the episode that he actually didnt, I’m guessing the answer is “no, he didn’t know.” Just a hunch tho. 😅

Whether he did or not that was still uncalled for allowing Elena to think that all because she did not have romantic feelings for him at the time he could of instead did something less vile like flush her diary in the toilet or something yeah.
